I've been here numerous times at lunch to get a few slices of their delicious, fresh pizza. But yesterday, I brought 10 co-workers in for Happy Hour, a larger group just wanting a drink or two and some apps. Our server was amazing, very attentive, divided our tab to individuals which is soooo helpful, and the food was delicious. Our new Happy Hour spot for sure! The place is small and quiet and everyone is very friendly. We had a great time!

Did not eat anything just came with some friends to drink some wine. We ordered a bottle of Merlot for $25 which was really good. The decor is really cool, and the staff is really friendly. We did not order food, but if u are looking for a place with a cool vibe where u can drink some good wine, then u should definitely check it out.

Great little coffee shop. Decor and coffee drinks and chai are wonderful but smoothies are just ok, kinda watery juice. Chicken sandwich tasted very good but the side of dry spinach leaves not so much. We will give it another go as it is a pretty cool place. A little pricey for the portions.

Cute place, but don't go there for food. We have a large group that brunches together once a month. We called ahead to make sure they could accommodate us and were told it wouldn't be a problem. We were the only ones there and it was still a very long process to get the food, which was only so so. Service was very friendly, but I would come here to chat over coffee and wine after getting food elsewhere!

Oh man.

I wanted to LOVE this place. I wanted to make my friends traverse the confusing, Cherry Hills/Whatever the neighborhood is called, but I was sorely disappointed.

We came in with a http://Restaurant.com certificate, loving the decor, mismatched light fixtures adorable wine related doodads, and the service really was solid. I think how much I want to love this place makes me extra hard on it.

Beet salad was canned beets and soooo much goat cheese. That can't be bad right? Wrong. My sandwich was also slathered in it, with soggy vegetables and sooooo crunchy bread. Wine was good if not overpriced. Our waitress had very little to add past the wine list information (isn't it a wine bar?).

Also, these people have a serious staffing problem. I am pretty sure our waitress/sommelier/chef/ was the only one there for lunch so everything took a decent amount of time.

They also do coffee which might be fabulous but I didn't try it.

This place is so darn close to what Denver needs, small wine and small plate centric hole in the wall by passionate people but I just can't get on board.

When I arrived I was having trouble understanding why reviews for this place were a bit so-so. The interior is really nice, with local art on the walls and very casual/comfortable feel. We were the only ones there for lunch on the Thursday before Christmas. The waitress was very friendly and helpful, the menu interesting, and the wine list including some nice French selections to try. We ordered, then started to understand some of the issues. Turns our our waitress was the only employee there. The food, when it got there, was generally good, but it took a very long while. Others in my group liked their food less. A problem figuring out the bill and a discount offer finished the meal on an ackward note.

I don't understand the bad reviews for this place. This is a little funky wine bar/coffee shop/cafe not a full restaurant- I think as long as you know this you will not be disappointed. The owner is a doll, even knowing I was there using a 'groupon type coupon'. She had me sample a few different wines before I chose a glass, and the cheese plate I ordered was very generously sized with warm bread, honey, chocolate and pecans. I plan on returning for the nice hospitality and the $10 bottomless mimosas another day soon!

Stopped there for brunch on my way home today and had a very good experience. The staff is wonderful. The crepes superb. The french influence is welcoming and enjoyable. I've become a fan.

The food is almost okay, but its phenomally slow. The girl was in training, so there's that. It seems they should invest in a panini maker, or switch to pastries, cheese plates and deserts. Or perhaps buy bagels from the bagel store and just do bagels.

I got an egg sandwich The sausage was jimmy dean or the sort. Breakfast sandwiches came out cold and sent them back and waited another 15 minutes, separately. The sandwiches were ok, but not worth the wait or the hassle. Then they tried to charge me one dollar (x2) for cheese which clearly came with the sandwiches and when they took it off instead of being 2 dollars cheaper it was only one dollar cheaper. It was clear they were trying to run my bill up bc I had a groupon. Yuck, I hate that.

We tried to enojy the atmosphere- they had games, but only chess and checkers and they were those ugly cheapo kinds.

Coffee and smoothies were good though.

Had a grouponish coupon otherwise would have been sick paying these prices, although I did get a stomachache later, from the sausage.

Excellent. Visited on a quiet Friday afternoon. Gluten Free baked goods! Awesome!
Very good espresso drinks. This place is a sleeper in Englewood across from Swedish Medical Center. If you appreciate a bit of refinement in a cafe that offers coffee, and select wine and beer. You can't go wrong.

They shouldn't participate in weekly plus, living social, groupon or any other type of marketing event. The purpose of those makreting events is to bring customers in, wow them, and have them be reqpeat customers. If you purchased one of these coupons to try this place out, note that the flight of wine is for one person, not two. Also, if you go during happy hour, because you're using one of these coupons, you are not allowed to purchase other items for happy hour prices. Also, they add 18% gratuity on your bill. Given that I tend to tip 20%, this saved me some money. Not a good first impressiion, so they will not see me again. The owners will need a lot of luck to succeed.

We went for brunch on Sunday and had a disappointing experience. The place was cute, sort of shabby chic bistro directly across from Swedish Hospital.

They were having a problem with the electrical and had one person manning everything. It took about 10 minutes for her to realize we were there. They had one burner working on their stove apparently. Coffee and smoothies were good. The Fosters waffle ($10 for a waffle with a couple of walnuts and bananas and a little sauce, and some delicious maple syrup, but which came without the promised sweet cream) was good. The breakfast burrito was maybe $10 or so and was decent. The crepe was awful -- one little piece of dry rubber with a couple of fresh berries tossed on the top. I had to send back the weird chicken vegetable soup because it was brought out cold with crunchy (raw) carrots inside and overall inedible. The omelette was burned but you could find uncharred bits if you searched. Everything was very expensive for what we got, so thank goodness we had a Living Social deal.

I felt bad for the poor lady who was the waitress/hostess/cook until it turned out that she was apparently the owner. Let me ask you this: if you were the owner and your kitchen is experiencing a major electrical meltdown so that you are giving substandard service and substandard food, would you calculate a 20% tip into the bill?

We will not be back but I wish them well with fixing everything.

Nothing special. we were the only ones there. 2 of the prices that we were quoted ahead of time, were priced higher on the bill and they would not change it. The coffee tasted like instant. Meal was just average.

Wow, can you say overpirced?!?! We were the only ones there when we first arrived and there were two people on staff. We ordered 2 espresso drinks, a crepe, and a waffle. It took atleast 10 minutes for her to bring us the drinks and another 30 minutes for the food (because "it's made from scratch"). Well guess what I couldhave made that tiny little crepe and tiny little waffle in half the time and paid 1/10th of the price at home. The total for 2 people, no alcoholic beverages included, came out to $32. The only reason this place survives is because of the hospital across the street.

I don't want to seem super negative but I must be honest.

Cons: I live very close to Off the Vine and I have been in three times now. The first two times I went, there were no other customers. The last time, we were the only ones there at first, and then there was a slow trickle. There was only one staff person on duty each time which made things rather slow. Because I normally look at their website, I was unaware of their hours until I looked on Yelp and realized they had a happy hour and were open past 2:00 p.m. I think they are rather pricey. I remember seeing them offer brunch for two for something like $60... You can go to Dazzle and have an all you can eat buffet brunch for $20 a person. I just think they are trying too hard... Coffee shop, breakfast lunch and dinner, wine bar, liquor store...I think if they lowered their prices and became a little more focused on one aspect of service they would be more successful.

While dining at one of the other restaurants on that same strip I saw one of the staff replacing the Westword magazines that they had removed from the box and placed their own flyers in. While I admire their eagerness to advertise, I think that is unfair to all of the other restaurants who pay to advertise in the Westword.

Pro: The food tastes great and their coffee is tasty too.

After checking the opening hours with the business, 7-7 weekdays, arrived at 5:30 to find them locked up tight. Called only to be told they have a staff shortage. Really?

This place would be great if the server wasn't also the chef and server. Really slow and i don't blame the server. Food prepping in advance would help immensely. Place is decorated really nice but taking an hour to serve four people drinks and three appetizers in my opinion is slow. I so want this place to succeed because we love supporting local businesses and Englewood is starved for places to go. This was the second time to go here and am still disappointed. Sorry feel bad about this review but owner plz wake up and correct the problems. The poor server is trying to answer phone, take orders, make food and serve. Not a good thing. Decor is really nice and the concept is awesome. Would like to see more vegetarian options. Will try again soon and hope things improve.

We had a phenomenally good time here the other night! My friend Jen and I had a Living Social coupon for a wine and cheese pairing for two and decided to check it out.

It's a small little corner joint in a small Englewood neighborhood. The decor is just basic and (I can't believe I'm about to use this word) quaint, with two and four top tables only, so it's pretty intimate. We were the only ones in the spot, so we sat right down and started with the vino. The list is pretty short, but they have a decent range to choose from. The sampler plate we got included four kinds cheese, 3 kinds of meat, some tasty bread, and a bowl of dried cranberries and olives. The serving size was pretty generous, we had a nice meal out of this.

Kate was taking care of us, and she did it WELL!! She was funny, friendly, attentive, and even sat down to join us at the table when we invited her. The three of us had a great time.

There are a lot of these little wine bars popping up all over the place these days, but Off the Vine is different. It's not pretentious or stuffy or ridiculously overpriced. It's like a corner bar that specializes in wine instead of beer. I'm giving it 5 stars because of a truly awesome first impression. Thank you Kate!!

Visited Off the Vine courtesy of one of those Denver Daily Deals - $10 for $20 worth of food. Score!

Pros: Really awesome breads - rustica bread, foccacia bread. Delicious sauces - spreads, dips, hummus, etc. Yum! The bf really liked his turkey panini - the bread was absolutely phenomenal! We also both enjoyed the strawberry crepe we ordered - light and fluffy, tons of strawberries- perfectly made!

Cons: definitely pricey, and not in the most fantastic of areas. If we hadn't had the deal, we wouldn't have been able to order drinks, two meals, and a dessert. Thank goodness for the deal!

Recommendations: Go during Happy Hour!! 3-6 PM, daily I believe, half price food and $3 wines. Wine and food?? Give it to me!!

I LOVED the tempranillo I ordered-- do it!! I've heard from friends that the coffee at Off the Vine is really delicious, as are the peach bellinis.

On thing to keep in mind: The person serving you your food and drink is a SERVER, not "just" a barista. As such, they make their money off the tips YOU LEAVE THEM. Like I've said on many other reviews, I'm a broke grad student and I use coupons BUT I leave sweet tips because I know how hard it is for servers out there. Just remember that when you go!
