Charming place. Mushroom bruschetta was our favorite. Loved all the random antiques for sale. Nice intimate setting for our anniversary dinner.

    Food was far from good.

It's a comfy place, this is. Laid back and chill - and still passes as a cafe and light drinks spot that wouldn't hurt the pocketbooks.

But that's not to say that the food is excellent - because it's not. They are, however, a good portion for the price so that alone makes it a great deal especially on the main drag of downtown Hollywood. And skip the dessert.

One of my favorite hangouts! So comfy and charming.  Great staff.  Check it out!

Such a cute establishment. On the outside, a cozy patio; white picket fence and all; the inside stocked with all things antique. The crepes are delicious and more than enough for one. Polish off your meal with a glass of wine from the huge selection off of the menu, grab a book from the extensive selection and relax in the homey, cafe-like bar that is Open-Plaza. :o)

Love the atmosphere of this place! If i want a coffee or glass of wine I usually stay for and hour or two because its so comfortable. I havent seen many cafes like this in south florida and im glad its here in Hollywood.
The food is really lacking for me :(    Maybe its just because im from california, but i would love to see some better choices, maybe hummus with pita, a nice lentil soup, chai tea,  more health conscious choices. The empanada I had was very tasteless. I had the spinach one. Tasted like it was frozen.
Like i said i love the atmosphere so i come back for wine. But i would love if their menu improved and they offered more organic coffee choices.

I was staying in Florida - Hallandale area, and one late evening, my sister and I were hungry, but we both didn't want to eat too much. So I was yelping for tapas, and found this tapas place to be open late and close driving distance to our condo. I wouldn't exactly call this a Tapas restaurant (they didn't even have sangria as option to drink) and what kind of Tapas place doesn't have sangria?? But I am not complaining because regardless of what type of food it was, it was such an awesome dining experience.

First, we discovered Downtown Hollywood, which was cool by itself. I wish we had more time to explore, but we had to leave the next night. It's definitely an area I will come back to. This restaurant has only been open for 4 months, so it's brand new and no one really knows about it. We shared a cheese platter and two cups of wine for two for $20. It was a special that night, so I don't know if they always have that option, but it was great! We also had another appetizer - one of the many bruschetta choices they have. For dessert we shared a crepe (they are huge) and two cappuccinos.

The entire cafe is made up of all crazy artsy stuff - there is an outside "dining/living room" where you can eat. It's also one of the quieter places open late at night, so if you don't want to be dwelled up in music, this is a great choice.

Open Plaza really does define eclectic. A cozy wine bar with a great selection of Bruschettas including BBQ pork and Carpese. We really enjoyed the shrimp quesadillas. The wine was generous and delicious. Old books, and very new magazines lined the wall. Perfect for sitting in the high-back overstuffed chairs and whiling away the afternoon, or ending the night with an pot of tea and a rum cake.

Non pretentious wine bar. Cozy and comfortable; kind of  like being home but with way better sevice. The menus has many wines by the glass or bottle and yummy fresh dishes.  Comfy sofas and floor rugs with vintage clothing and books. The prices are very reasonable and the staff goes out of their way to make sure you are happy with everything they serve you. I would like to make this a place I frequent.

I didn't have high hopes just by the name, taking ambiguous words and throwing them together does not make a name, but when you walk in the ambiguity starts to make sense. The restaurants web site describes themselves as "Cafe/Bar/Resto/Lounge/Show/Art & Gift Shop" and they have made this actually work. Very kitschy, very interesting, very cool.
