There's a lot of excellent food around Clark and Fullerton, and this is a nice option for fresh and healthy veggie-rific food. Have tried two salads and both were really fresh with a nice mix of ingredients. The paninis look amazing, and they have daily specials (today's bacon-avocado-lettuce-tomato panini was almost too tempting to pass up. Not sure I could really fork out the cash for the $10 sandwiches, but the paninis and salads are more reasonably priced.
Review Source:Working overtime on Saturday. Decided to splurge on lunch somewheres. Guess where I picked?
My manager got the California Cobb and enjoyed it.
I got the Chipotle Chicken on multi-grain. Love it. Really.
Delivery took longer than they said, which was fine.
Yes. $10 is a lot for a sandwich and side.
It is organic food and materials. Delivery is free.
PLUS, it was two decent meals for me with plenty of room for dessert- which I forgot to order.
I highly recommend the food. It was excellent.
I've never dined in the restaurant and I've only ordered delivery once. Â The food came MUCH quicker than expected, which of course is never a bad thing.
I ordered the Cuban panini, which was pretty good, although it was a little soggy. Â It came with a side, I chose the potato salad, which had more red onion and red and yellow peppers that potatoes, which made me sad.
I also ordered a salad, I don't remember what it was called but it was suppose to have pepperoni, bacon, cucumber, tomatoes, and mixed greens. Â The salad was very fresh, but seriously lacking in the pepperoni/bacon/cucumber department. Â I'm talking 4 tiny grape tomatoes, 3 paper thin cucumber slices and a pinch each of bacon and pepperoni. Â WEAK!!! Â I ordered a salad, not a bunch of plain lettuce. Â
All in all, I felt Organic One was a little over priced and just ok. Â However, I will definitely give this place another chance, everyone has off days and hopefully today was just an off day for Organic One Cafe.
PS- Â I also had a super cute delivery guy.
I first got interested in this place when they were giving out samples on the street. Great food! You have a choice of a sandwich, panini, and salad. Desserts are mostly cakes and shakes (THE BEST CHOCOLATE SHAKE ON THIS PLANET!). You can choose from one of the sandwiches from the menu or MAKE YOUR OWN! Everything is organic so it's kind of expensive, but it's worth it!
Review Source:I've been here a few times because I work around the corner. Â I've had the turkey/honey mustard panini and it was really good, but I think it is over priced for what you get. Â They have a nice outdoor seating area and the staff is friendly, but because of the price I probably wouldn't frequent here if it wasn't so close to where I work.
Review Source:Did you know that with the magic of the interwebs, you can have someone deliver a SMOOTHIE to your house?
Wilberry smoothie, organic one salad, and Washington panini (ham, cheese, apples)=$20 via GrubHub. Me=happy girl who feels good for not ordering pizza when she's home sick. Sure, its not the cheapest, but its not completely absurd. Plus they deliver. Plus the delivery guy was cute.
So I started off being a huge fan. Telling everyone and feeding everyone from work and at home at least once a week here. They were going to get a 5th star except there delivery is horrific. They sent me someone else food and when I called 2 minutes after they left the guy never came back. It Took an hour to deliver then another hour to receive the correct food. Thank good the food is pretty good since I ate someone elses food while starving for my food.
The parfait is the best thing I ever had. Its gods gift to man and if anything just order that. It's under 3 dollars and its huge. You'll see.
I've only ever eaten inside the cafe so I can't speak to the delivery service, but the food is awesome. It's fresh, tasty and comes in a generous portion. Â I was very impressed that everything was organic and the plastics were made from recycleable corn, even the straw! I highly recommend the smoothies.
Review Source:Two days ago I was so excited to find this place! Â I was walking around and saw that it said "Organic"..which drew me right in. Â I had just eaten, so I wasn't going to order anything, I just wanted a carry out menu. Â When I walked in, the girl behind the counter didn't great me and wasn't nice. Â She pointed to where they were and that was it.
So today I decided that I was going to have lunch at this place. Â Again when I walk in, no one greets me...no one talks to me..or even looks happy. Â The menu is so ordinary. Â I mean turkey with cheese and dijon mustard as a grilled panini...not very adventurous. Â So the girl takes my order, doesn't even say thank you and proceeds not to tell me that I could have a seat and that they'll bring my food out. Â So I wait. Â When the sandwhich came, there was a HUGE pile of barbeque chips in the middle. Â I don't know about you, but when I think Organic and healthy...I don't think chips.
In summary, the staff need to take some lessons on customer service and how to be polite & friendly and the menu needs to be redone. Â Get rid of the chips and soda....come on...are you really helping people be healthier...just because something says Organic, doesn't mean that it's good for you. Â I won't be going back any time soon.
Ok, $14 for a sandwich and soup? Give me a break. The sandwich was sub-average, nothing special. Roast beef and cheese and lettuce. Wow, totally worth the money I paid for it. The soup was tasteless and just overall lacking. Plus, the service was terrible, and the owners/managers were there too. Don't be fooled by the "organic" label on this place, it just translates to emptying your wallet for not-so-great food.
Review Source:I ordered delivery from Organic One via GrubHub. I'd never heard of this place but it was one of the only places that sounded pretty healthy and was delivering lunch on a Saturday. I know one star sounds pretty harsh but Organic One earned it by bringing me a Cuban panini covered in pickles instead of the sandwich I ordered. It was like a bad dream. Maybe the one I ordered (which was supposed to have ham, cheese and apples on it) would've been great, I'll never know. About the only way to get such a bad rating from me is to put pickles anywhere near my meal and they chose to cover my meal in pickles. Instant 1 star.
Review Source:I discovered this place thanks to http://Grubhub.com. Â I Â ordered at 7:45ish and received my food at 8:20ish. Â The food was great AND healthy!!! Â I was especially impressed with 'The One Salad'. Â My hubby had a sandwich combo, which was equally delicious. It even came with a whole orange and a whole apple. Â We ended up splitting his sandwich and my salad for a perfect dinner. Â This is going to be my new favorite place to order from!!!! Â I hope this place stays around for a VERY long time!
Review Source:I was lured in by the intelligentsia sign but left with bitter coffee. The cold kept me drinking it after about 6 splendas, but the grinds made me gag. I was so hesitant to eat the yogurt parfait, and maybe the awful coffee clouded my judgement. The granola was soggy. The employees seemed stressed and dismissive. I'm not positive, but the stomach ache I had that night might have been from the yogurt.
Yuck. I do not reccomend.
Let me start off with the food was fantastic! I had "The one" in a wrap with a mixed berry smoothie and my friend had the veggie sammy with a strawberry banana smoothie.
However, getting the food was another story. Â We ordered the food at 6:30 and it didn't get to us until nearly 9pm.
I would suggest you go into the place instead of relying on delivery.
I don't know where this place came from, but its a welcome addition to the northside. I ordered "the one" sandwich and a smoothie for delivery. Both were fresh and very good. I think everything is organic from this place down to the smoothie cup and straw which were both made from corn. delivery was pretty fast, too.
