This is a very small restaurant located in a basement like area.  I ordered the vacio con papaz al horno. It was a little dry and bland.  Thre food was definatetly  traditional Argentenian, so much to the fact that you'd have to be a true Argentenian to enjoy. Went here on a groupon I wish I didn't buy
Review Source:So glad we found this place! I'm starting to think I have a thing for restaurants in basements :) (ie Half Shell). We were looking for a good place for steak and didn't want to wait two hours at another establishment a few miles north. Caminito takes reservations - major points! The beef empenadas were amazing and we absolutely loved the fried calamari. After all that I ended up going with a shrimp gnocchi for my meal. It was rich but had a great flavor. The other people in my party went with the milanesa and a couple of rib-eyes. Everyone was really happy with their entrees and the service was great too. We had a reservation at 7:30 on a Saturday. There were a few other groups dining when we got there but by the time we were done, we were the only ones there. Apparently they get a big crowd for dinner before shows at The Steppenwolf Theatre (which is across the street). They have been open for a couple of years and we hope they stick around. IMPORTANT NOTE - - - they are NOT BYOB anymore. We called ahead and made sure. That was a little disappointing but they have a good and really reasonable wine list. We loved the atmosphere and are looking forward to going back and trying some more goodies on the menu!
