La Playita

Stopped by today for a late lunch. Woops...the place is closed, the phone number is disconnected. This is what happens when you take a good restaurant (Lalo's...then Caliente) with a good business model and sell it to new owners that rename it La Playita, raise the prices and alter the cuisine. Adios, La Playita - you will always be remembered as "Lalo's" in my heart.

I loved The place and food. :D I will difenetly be returning.

This is the first review I have written for yelp, mainly because I've never felt the need to speak badly about a place. With that said, I must warn anyone thinking about trying this place out to STAY AWAY. Sure, the people are nice, but completely inept. The portions are respectable but tasteless and overpriced.
Having been born and raised in Ecuador, the food had only a small resemblance to what it ecuadorian food really taste like. We had a blend Bola de Platano, a shrimp-less Ceviche de Camaron, and a horrible Fritada.

Please Please please don't spend your money here.
