Amato's Pizzeria

My favorite pizza.  DELISH!!  When I moved to Chicago I searched for the best & I found it. FRESH & FAST Garlic cheese bread, spinach salad, & pizza is what I usually order.  I could eat Amato's everyday.

This place is fantastic! For $5 lunch, I got a can of Coke and sausage stuffed pizza. Their crust is pie-like flaky and with a silky touch. Not greasy at all. The staff were all really friendly. I really enjoyed my entire experience here.

I really miss this place.  It's sort of my ideal neighborhood pizza place.  Is it the best pizza in the city?  Absolutely not, but don't expect that.  The pizza itself is probably only slightly above average.  But it's quick, friendly and convenient.  The spinach calzone is a personal favorite and pasta dishes are surprisingly good.  When I lived around the corner, it was the perfect spot to stop in for a quick dinner while walking home from the train.  Wish I still got it more often.
