Not to be confused with Old Town Pour House (chad/trixie) or Old Town Ale House (hippies/hipsters), Old Town Pub is a sleepy little space to go to kick back a few beers and eat some good pub food. I've never seen this place more than 3/4 full, and I prefer it that way.
Plenty of TVs, decent beers on tap, and decent food make this the type of place you go to catch up with a friend while wearing sweatpants and no makeup. And no one will judge you for it.
My girlfriend and I had our first date here, and we're still together. Â I'm not saying that Old Town Pub made it all possible, but it certainly didn't hurt. Â
OTP has great appetizers and a decent beer list for fairly reasonable prices. Â I highly recommend the mac and cheese, but you are unlikely to go wrong with any choice here. Â The service is fairly quick and the staff is really nice.
The atmosphere is a little dark. Â But it's quiet and relaxed, except for the handful of guys who might show up to watch a sports game. Â I haven't been during the more crowded hours, but I expect things don't get too crazy.
Overall, great food and drinks for a good price. Â Give it a try.
Old Town Pub was busy this past Saturday night. Â It seems like this is a place where sports fans, football fans Saturday night, can gather and watch a game. Â There were several TV's in the space and you can watch the game from wherever you are seated.
Our waitress was attentive and checked on us often. Â She made sure our drinks were always full and gave us ample time to review the menu before ordering. Â The menu is pretty diverse, they have anything from wraps and sandwiches to pasta or pizza. Â I had the blackened chicken wrap with tater tots.... Yep that's right tater tots. Â I mean who can dislike a place that serves crunchy tater tots, a childhood favorite of mine. Â The wrap was good as well, it was generous in size and had a lot of chicken in it. Â I was pleased.
If I lived nearby, I think this place would become a regular hang out of mine...It's relaxed, casual, and has a good atmosphere. Â I will definitely visit again when I'm in Old Town next.
