Love this place and atmosphere! The staff was so nice and holds completely true to the name with Mama Milano making dinner right in front if my face! To top it off the food was great and fresh.
The only downturn is its a little small and hidden but nothing that would stop me from going again!
A friend and I went to Mama Milano's after deciding it was too noisy to talk next door at Old Town Pour House. We stopped in around 3:45 p.m. on Sunday.
We each ordered a pizza. She had the Margherita, and I had the Veggie. I had trouble choosing a pizza because they all seemed very similar. No exciting combinations on the menu.
The pizzas were large enough to take home leftovers; we both ate about half. I didn't try my friend's pizza, but it looked more appetizing than mine. Mine had a lot of cheese and could have used more sauce. And perhaps the onions could have been cooked down a bit more. But all in all, nothing particularly good or bad to note.
When we arrived, there was only one other occupied table in the restaurant. They left shortly after we arrived, and we were the only occupied table in the restaurant until about 5:30 p.m. Because the restaurant wasn't full, we were able to sit and chat for a long time.
The place calls itself a boutique pizzeria and wine bar, but water was served in plastic cups. In my opinion, it sort of cheapened the experience. Not sure why using glass would be worse.
