Good Shepard's pie!
Decided to stop in here after Benchmark was too crowded. Had a couple of beers, the calamari, and shepard's pie. The calamari came out with no breading, looked like it was boiled, came in huge pieces, and was not appealing at all. We were thankful when the shepard's pie came out, it was delicious. The meat was well seasoned and the mashed potatoes were light and flavorful.
Great service for a late Saturday night. If you avoid the calamari, this place is not bad at all!
My friends and I walked in on a weeknight for some appetizers and drinks. Â The waiter took one look at us and decided he hated us. Â I realize we're young, but we are willing to tip well with good service. Â He asked us questions in a very snotty tone, and generally made us all uncomfortable.
We were not provided with a beer list, which sucks because they don't carry some major beer brand names. Â Also, it's embarrassing to order a beer and have a snotty waiter look at you like you're dirt for ordering Miller (which I ordered in the hopes that it would be on the cheap side, seeing as how the rest of the menu is way overpriced).
The appetizers were good, but not worth the cost. Â You can get food that's just as good for less money in several restaurants in the immediate area.
The restaurant could have earned a passable 3 stars if it weren't for our waiter. Â By the way, waiter, if you happen to read this, you immediately judged us as poor tippers when we walked in, so you gave us poor service. Â You were right, we were poor tippers, but you made that happen with your bad attitude.
You might enjoy this restaurant if you have a ton of money (maybe the wait staff will judge you as worthy of better service), but you are better off spending that money somewhere else.
