Popeye's Chicken

This is a pretty decent Popeye's.  I remember stopping by here often when I lived a few blocks away.  It was nice to recognize one of the guys working there.  I can tell that he creates a positive, fun working environment.

There were fewer sketchy people hanging out inside and outside of the Popeye's, but that was never a huge issue with me.  They add more character to the area.  Some of the yuppies and ex-frat boys on Rush would give me a headache.

I didn't deduct additional stars for this, but I'm disappointed that the great deals/coupons I found online were not considered specials at this location.  The options were actually pretty lame.  Popeyes also made serious changes to its biscuits, and now they're mass-produced circles of hard nothingness.  I heard that the southern locations still have large, fluffy, flavorful biscuits.  The sides were always the staples of this brand, in my opinion.

If you're hungry and need fast food with reliable service, this is your spot.

This is a very nice Popeyes and the food and service of the staff never disappoint.
