5411 Empanadas

Great food, good value - all were excellent.  ate at the restaurant, so each was fresh - Spinach, both Beefs, Chx, banana, Date /Bacon  - all were fresh, crispy flavorful.  Highly Recommended

Really enjoyed the malbec beef and corn, but I found the Bacon Date & Goat Cheese to be really dry and pasty in texture, and there was hardly any goat cheese... maybe I just got a bad scoop of filling, or maybe it was reheated or the filling hadn't been made recently.  Also, I see they advertise it as "a little sweet," which is a gross overstatement... it really needed more goat cheese to balance the sweetness of the dates, and to break up the pasty texture with some creaminess.

Husband got the BBQ Chicken, which he liked, but I thought was so-so.  Liked the flavor of the beef, but the malbec beef was the big winner.  I felt really nickel-and-dimed about being charged for chimichurri too, even though the meal was cheap.  Something about that just doesn't sit well.

I love the empanadas at 54-11! Went there the other night with a friend. We were planning on having dinner somewhere else but after we were told it would be a 2 hour wait for 2 people, we decided to come here instead.  I'm so glad that we did! I had the ham and cheese empanada and the buffalo chicken.  So good, and we weren't the only ones who thought so-the place was packed and multiple other people were stopping in for take out.  BYOB makes this place even better.  We weren't aware of this, but I will definitely be going back here!
