I was just here a few weeks ago and highly suggest it. We saw the nasty show and it was nasty. You have to be aware of these topics going to a comedy show. So, if your offended by dirty things, the show isn't for you. I'd suggest purchasing the VIP tickets for a few extra bucks. We got there a little later than expected and had to sit in the way back, but we had a good view. The only thing that bothered me was our server. You have a two drink minimum which isn't an issue, whether its, alcoholic or not. So, we each had two drinks and the server checked in on us. Before we knew it, she was bringing our bill to us. This was long before she gave anyone else their bills and long before the show was over. So, we ended up going to the actual bar to get drinks but then we missed parts of the show which we were paying for. So, I guess on her end, she missed out on the extra money she could have made from us. So, I am hoping that, if I return, service is not this way again. But I would recommend a friend to visit the laugh factory.
Review Source:Laughs can be scarce when you expect them and yet plentiful at odd times. Â We found them to be in abundance at the Laugh Factory, yay!
I came here on Tuesday night for the first time for a ChicagoNow Blog group gathering and it was a great place for getting to know each other in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Â If you have a group that would like a unique way to have a good time, I suggest you check it out.
We found parking in the garage steps from the club and paid a very reasonable rate. Â We had hurried up here after work so we had not eaten and were surprised and pleased to find out we could order pizza. Â Now was it the greatest pizza in the world? Â Of course not, this is a comedy club/bar but hey, it was hot and did the job. Â Our drinks were great, the chairs comfortable and there was plenty of room to get around. Â Our server was friendly, quick and efficient. Â Plus, there was glorious air circulation. Â Our comics were bloggers who were tickled pink to be on this stage and they cracked us up. Â You never know, you may have comedians in your midst!
I had so much fun, I may go back for on a regular night.
UP FRONT: Awesome place! The tickets weren't as expensive as some other options. Â Had a great time here with my wife on a date night in the city. Â The comedians were all very funny from opening act to the main attraction. Â As with all venues for comedy you have to check out who is performing, because not everyone has the same sense of humor and some comics appeal to more to some than others. Â With that being said...these guys/gals had everybody BELCHING laughing. Â
RECOMMENDED: Definitely recommend it... I would also return here on a future trip to Chicago. Â Very cool place, clean, and their set-up give you a perfect seat in the audience regardless of how close you are.
USEFUL TIP: We purchased the tickets online and paid a few bucks extra for the VIP and it was SO worth it! Â You basically don't wait in line, you go right in, and the hostess seats you in the best location because it's empty. Â It was well worth it and if I remember correctly it was about $10 extra if that. Â The line (especially for the 10pm show) wrapped around the corner and it was freezing cold.
RESEARCH: If you're traveling to Chicago I suggest you research the top five comedy venues in town at least two weeks in advance to see what's a better show. It was our First time in Chicago and we spent hours on trip advisor, Yelp, and many other sites trying to find the best (stand-up) comedy venue (and other attractions and things to do) in Chicago.
