My love affair with FOGO 2 GO began when I came home from a long day of adderall-fueled studying and brain-fried and cotton-mouthed. Â I approached my tap only to be disappointed by Mayor Daley's city water per usual, tinged with Flouride and flat, there is a reason why water is free in the City! Â I decided that I was yearning for the ancient taste of a Mayan waterfall so I consulted Fogo for delivery. Â Unfortunately you must fulfill an ABSURD $10 minimum for deliver which is almost impossible when they charge .10 a water. Â I got a half a cooked chicken, bacon baked beans, and 78 waters to meet the minimum which was delivered to me by the lovely "Servando". Â I immediately threw the food in the trash and voraciously flooded my palate with the waters which were in a styrofoam delivery system with a cloud/sunset/seagull imprint emblazoned across it. Â To my disbelief the water was still cool despite the delivery across town! I could taste the sacrifice, the endless eternity of the water, the millions of years the it had traveled from formation and condensation, countless rain cycles and filtrations through animals both extinct and evil coursing through my bowels. I am but one step in this jawdropping cycle I thought as I evacuated it into the City's system where it would unfortunately combine with Mayor Daley's offering. Â In conclusion, the water was obviously great and I was very pleased with the temperature it arrived at. Â The delivery system could be improved from styrofoam though.
Like the water, you should mark this review as "COOL" if you agree!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. Servando is usually extremely fast and kind but sometimes forgets to include my waters due to "space constraints" in his Civic, thank you Servando but please remember my water in the future!
One of my favorite delivery places when I don't want to cheat w/ pizza or Chinese. You can order all white meat chicken, rice & corn. They also have a nice, basic house salad.
When I do want to cheat, their buffalo chicken pizza is just awesome. It's easy to pick up, it's right off the train stop- but they also deliver. It's great when you want a change of pace, and want to keep it a bit on the healthier side. It's reasonably priced too.
As a local from São Paulo, I really miss my Sunday evening pizzas. I ordered a half calabresa and half marguerita with garlic only to be really disappointed. Was expecting spicy savory when in fact it tasted sweet. The onions and garlic were raw and overpowered the entire pizza. The dough did not taste like fresh baked, more like pre baked then frozen. Not at all similar to São Paulo pizza.
