A Plate on Southport

I absolutely love this place.  The food is out of this world good for the price.  A Plate sets the standard for for favorite Thai dishes (Panang Curry and Pad See Eew). Also they have great unique dishes like the spicy chilli chicken that is the best Thai dish I've ever had.  They give you free honey tea when you get there.   The wait staff is friendly and lives to please.  Overall, an outstanding value!  Hands down my favorite Thai restaurant in the city.

Ordered take-out for the first time from A Plate. First, the delivery was super fast! I think it came within 15-20 minutes and was hot when I opened it, which anyone can appreciate with delivery. The crag Rangoon was, as others mentioned, delicious; however, it could've been a bit more crispy. The pad see ew was bland, but that's what I expect and like. We ordered the pad Thai with chicken and specifically requested "no nuts". Unfortunately, nuts were covering the dish when we opened it and it was thrown out, which was a terrible waste! We received the baby egg rolls free with an online coupon...they were okay, nothing special. For the price, speed of delivery and overall quality, we'll probably try it again. Not the greatest, but better than most Thai delivery in the area that I've tried.

I've never dined here, but have ordered take-out numerous times from A Plate on Southport.  I'm not a Thai food expert so I can't judge on authenticity, but I can judge on taste and everything I've ordered here is delicious!  You can't go wrong with the Pad Thai or anything else for that matter.  

The staff is as nice as they come - to the point where during the 15 minutes after I leave their restaurant I'm in a happy mood that is nice to anyone I come across and I'm typically an A-hole.  When you call in an order they typically say it'll be 15 minutes.  One time I came a little early and had to wait a few minutes.  Well they gave me free spring rolls since I had to wait... They weren't late, I was early and had no problem waiting and they still threw in some free spring rolls.  They definitely know how to keep the customer happy that's for sure.

Oh, and their prices are very reasonable so why not give them a try?!  I'm actually ordering take-out from them tonight!
