Typical Wrigley
Pretty fun bar with awesome mix of music, mainly top 40's with some old school jams. Gets pretty packed but it's in Wrigley so what do you expect?
I've been telling everyone about the awful experience I had at Stretch on March 29th and thought it'd be a great idea to YELP it now too. At a friend's birthday party, a girl was shoved by a very, very tall guy as he was walking out of the bar. After asking him if she was in his way, sarcastically of course, she was told, and I quote "you better get out of my face cuz I hit girls." Upon hearing this, a male friend of mine stepped in and told the guy he was a class act. Without missing a beat, the man punched my friend to the ground, splitting his head open and sending him to the hospital for stitches. Now, imagine my surprise when I try to re-enter the bar to collect my friends, and am told by the door guy (who I now know was the manager) that I was not allowed to go back in. We were just assaulted in front of your bar, have over thirty people inside for a birthday party and WE are not allowed back in? Now, I understand drunk people get into fights, many times for no reason and I could have chalked this experience up to typical Wrigleyville behavior by this man. However, it has come to my attention now (after having photographic evidence of who the assaulter is) that THIS MAN WORKS AT THE BAR AS A DOOR GUY ON SATURDAY NIGHTS. Stretch, you are employing a person who sent a PATRON to the hospital. Stretch has lost the business of every person who was at that party and quite simply, people are afraid to go back knowing that Stretch is turning a blind eye to this guy's behavior.
