Although our wait time was 30-35 mins to be seated our waiter was AWESOME! Once we were seated he came right to our seat, offered new appitzer(chicken bites)-exellcent choice. Eric(Bloomington, IL location) was very knowledgeable of the menu and explained our selections very well. Checked on our table often and made my dining experience EXCELLENT! I will be visiting Outback again and asking only to be seated in Eric M. section.
Review Source:My dinner was good and all our steaks were cooked to order however, 3 people at our table ordered dinners with lobster tails and not only were they ALL cold when served but at least 1 of them wasn't even cooked! The wait service was very slow as well. The manager came over and had 4 more fully cooked tails brought over and comped one dessert. Big deal. Â Oh yeah, our "blooming" onion was about a third the size of the ones you see in the commercials!
Review Source:A successful evening out with the neighbors!
On a rare night when the five of us were not working/under heaps of homework, we ventured out for a delicous steak dinner and happily we were not disappointed.
Our waiter was friendly and funny. It was an empty Monday night, so he got to the table quickly and got our orders in pronto.
A few highlights:
-All the steaks ordered that evening were cooked perfectly, always nice.
-There are grape tomatoes on EVERYTHING, appetizers, salads, entrees. Jesus, I can only imagine if we'd gotten dessert... Hope you're not allergic.
-For five people, meals, apps and drinks, $140 with tip, decent prices can win me over anytime.
Final note: Thanks to our waiter for not treating us like a table of kids. We are young, but we like respect, and as a former waitress, I tip like a satisfied patron, not a broke student.
I used to love Outback since it is so hard to find a good steak, but lately the salads have gotten smaller, the steaks aren't cooked right and THEN I got the worst steak ever. Â I always order the New York strip which I like because there is little fat and good flavor. Â This steak was nothing but fat and grissle. Â There was literally not even enough meat for a bite. Â I kept cutting into it looking for somethign to eat and got NOTHING! Â I had ordered out, so I couldn't even take it back. Â I haven't been back since. Â Lonestar Steakhouse has better steaks.
Review Source:Just beware if you go on a busy night. We were told on the phone we could make a reservation. We got there at the scheduled time only to find out when we got there that they don't really do reservations. They just put us into the queue a little earlier. Â After waiting 15 minutes and being told it would be at least another 15, we decided to bail and had dinner elsewhere, so no comment on the food.
Review Source:Love, love, love the Outback! Â Even worth the call-ahead wait. They usually offer samples while waiting for a table. The service is pretty good and the food is excellent! Â When they make a mistake, they do everything in their power to make it better. The price is the best we've found for a family of four.

We absolutely love Outback! Â We never really paid much attention to it until we went gluten free. Â Outback is one of the few places that has an awesome gluten free menu and takes gluten free menus seriously. Â They have trained their staff to understand the needs of people with gluten issues and make sure to take care of us.
And now recently, we had a problem with a charge on our credit card from them from our last meal and they made it right. Â Plus, they offered an us a gift card for the concern it caused. Â They really do everything they can to put the customer first!
First rate, guys! Â Love it!
Service is good, prime rib is tender and cooked to order ($20), baked potatoes are huge, desserts are good (creme brulee, cheesecake $5), and strawberry daquiris are sweet and the glass is coated with sugar ($4). Huge booths, light traffic except on the weekends since this place is relatively off of Veteran's Parkway. Ample parking. Chicken, fish, salads - the usual blue collar steakhouse fare. Nothing like Alexander's or Jim's, but more of a family atmosphere.
