Good enough place to watch a game with beers which we did one weekday night. Â This place is on a quiet street so not sure how crowded it gets... Service was okay- we didn't order food only beer so I can't comment on their grub. Â Decent bar, but can't say I can see myself coming here again.
Review Source:I work downtown but was craving some hot wings for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. The location was close enough that I could make it there via public transit in about 25 minutes. The lunch deal that includes 10 wings w/ fries sounded attractive when I found that you could substitute the fries for tater tots.
It seemed I was the lone customer by noon which was okay since I had something to read. Pleasant 70s soul music was playing but it was soon preempted for an episode of some loud daytime television show. The original hot flavor wings would've paired well with my brew if only the drink didn't taste a bit off.
A new guest arrived stating loudly that he needed a pitcher of beer for his crew which would arrive shortly. A few minutes later two young men with the unkempt demeanor of neighborhood criminals began loitering near the front door. The members of this crew seemed to be recounting tales of some recent assault replete with punching gestures and tough talk.
I immediately looked up the arrival time of the next bus across the street on Grand Ave. Luckily two more parties arrived by the time I finished my meal so I didn't feel quite as unsafe as I did at first. Would possibly go back for the wings but would make note of the flavor of anything coming out of the tap. Truthfully though, I'm more likely to find an alternative nearby.
I ordered lunch delivery from Output today. I am neither satisfied or dissatisfied. I asked for my burger to be cooked well done and it came to me with the middle practically mooing. Â I ate it anyway. It wasnt bad, I just prefer my meat to be fully cooked. The tater tots were good, kinda cold, but that happens with delivery. The delivery guy called my cell phone to say he was here, but I'm watching 2 crawling babies, I can't leave to go downstairs to get it. Â I told him the last name on the buzzer to buzz me so I can let him in, otherwise I can't if it doesn't ring on the phone. Â I waited a few mins then called him back, he wasnt sure what the last name was so I told him a few more times and spelled it out...still...nothin...after a couple more mins I went down there with 2 babies on my hip. He was standing at the buzzer, he just couldn't figure it out.
Otherwise it's not bad...food is descent. The delivery itself was pretty fast. If u want it well done...well, good luck with that.
terrible service!!! food came 2 hours after ordering without notice of it going to take that long ahead of time. they have minimal phones at their establishment, so calling them was impossible, they have highschool girls traveling together to deliver meals without any kind of clothing that represents an employee of their business. my food came super cold and was not satisfied with it one bit after opening my 25$ meal. do not order from this place!!! not worth it. go to 7-11 and warm up some food from the freezer and youll have a better meal!!!
Review Source:While Output has pretty decent food, each time we've ordered from here through GrubHub, they've forgotten a portion of our order, which is truly disappointing when you're excited for your meal that you've paid for. Â When we call to get this remedied, they say they will bring the missing items, but we either never get the items, or they come over an hour later, once we've completely finished eating. Â The one time that we actually did receive our missing fries (over an hour later), the fries were soggy, cold, and ketchup packets were INSIDE the container, WITH the fries (kind of gross, since you don't know where those packets have been). Â GrubHub is the only Saving Grace here, as they gave us $5 towards our next GrubHub order each time due to the inconvenience. Â We wanted to give this place an opportunity to "deliver" (no pun intended), but we've been pretty disappointed with every order.
Review Source:Ordered a burger and onion rings to be delivered. When I got the food, it was all cold and the burger was way too well done. The onion rings were covered in way too much batter, and by the time i got them they were all soggy... I bet the food was under a heat lamp waiting to be delivered. Took over an hour for delivery. Not one to write bad reviews, but the food was almost uneatable. May be better dining in than delivered.
Review Source:OK, I'm an addict. Â To their Chicken wings. Â I dream about them. Â I don't like meat on bones, and they do grilled boneless chicken wings that are to die for as I mentioned. Â and will give you every dipping sauce you want. Â (there are about maybe 10). Â And Modelo on tap. Â Granted, we are losers, and go early with our 4 y.o. daughter. Â We love the outdoor patio and the side private room, which we are using for a school event. Â Just a nice, fun, family friendly place. Â After 9 pm , I can't really say, but we love to come here for wings and beer. Â Will update more after our party.

Review Source:Came here with a group for a drink and food before heading over to an event at Salvage One. The food was good, and there are some healthy options on the menu. Drinks are fine too - well vodka specials on a Saturday are great.
Granted it was 7pm, kind early, but there was a nice mixed crowd in here - a man with his two daughters, a couple groups of guys, and us. Not bad.
This place was pretty packed when I came. The bar was filled with men watching a game. Some parties just come and go... I'm not sure why but I witnessed a group of 3 just came in, sat down, and just left right when the waitress walked over to take orders for drinks.
I ordered the combo platter, wings, and fries. They came out pretty slow. Though, the plus is the way their food is placed! It looks scrumptious!
I was pretty dismayed when they still gave me ranch for my celery when I asked for blue cheese... It also took a good 5 minutes to flag someone down to ask about the fries as well.
Since I came on a Groupon deal, I'm not sure about a second visit. Their wings are pretty good though! :) It just doesn't win my heart over a different place I had in mind for wings when the cravings come.
This lounge isn't for everyone. I found it to be quite loud and the taste in music is either a hit or miss because guests can select the songs.
The people are friendly and helpful. They even helped when I was packing my food to go.
One of the best veggie burgers I've had in Chicago (of many). Â I was expecting a frozen garden burger or something, but apparently they're made from scratch in the kitchen. Â If you like it (really) hot & spicy, get the "High Output Burger" and just ask to substitute their veggie patty - it's unreal.
Review Source:Tried this place out for the first time yesterday by recommendation from my boyfriend. Â He frequents here often with his friends and I'm guessing the cheap beer and sports on TV is the reason.
Nice big open space with lots of TV's and I was hoping for a good experience until...I realized the inappropriately dressed girls walking around the bar where actually the staff! Â I've worked in the industry for almost 2 years and yes I understand it can be appealing for female staff to wear short skirts and shorts, low cut shirts, etc HOWEVER, I do not expect to see your gut and saggy boobs trample past my table as I have my dinner.
Just because its a bar doesn't mean it should lack a professional look and attitude.
The food was ok. Â I had the beer battered Tilapia which was pretty bland but not awful and a good sized portion. Â The sweet potato fries would have been perfect if they weren't over salted.
The guys had the spicy wings and insisted I try 1...which I did. Â Not bad I thought until 3am when I woke up very sick from it =/ (lets just say it didn't make it past my stomach.)
I wanted to like this place but in the end, I'd recommend heading east to 5 Star on Chicago Ave. Â Great wings with the best blue cheese dressing ever, the managers and staff are fun and friendly and the music is always great (no house music from a jukebox) and yes they do have food and beer specials almost every night.
I went to Output Lounge because of the Sunday Soapbox Special, which is to say House Music. The front has a completely different vibe than the back and I thought I walked into the wrong place at first. I got a Summer Shandy (on draft!) for $3 and later a Bloody Mary for $4...those are good deals as far as I'm concerned, especially as I'm very particular about Bloody Marys and the one I got here was not bad.
We ordered fried mushrooms and the chicken tenders tossed in Hot Chipotle Ranch sauce. Both were good and I would order either again. The sauce was unique and delicious.
Nothing I would actively travel for but if you are there for the music already like me then you can anticipate a decent meal as well. The bartender was nice, she forgot to give us napkins but she was also in the process of changing shifts.
I will happily visit here again if another DJ I know is playing!

I love output!!!! the beer list is sooooooo great! i went in today and got a $2 two hearted ale they run random specials everyday and i love it! its a bar ppl, not a fancy restaurant, they have amazing burgers great sweet potato fries and just about everything in that place is homade!!! for lunch $6.95 you can get wings or burger,fries and drink !!!!!!! you cant get that anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im pretty sure its grassfed beef too. I had a bachelourette party in the back and eddie the owner gave me a great deal and everyone had a blast. We had a dedicated server and privacy for a girl time. the servers are actually very nice i dont go too often but when i do they are very friendly! I say check the daily specials and have those. also they have a lot of wing specials!!! i like the fire and garlic parmesean!!!!
Review Source:Never had the food but bartenders are rude, very round and short. They get an attitude because you order a drink, bring you one drink and forget the other ?? Which arrived 10mins. later, seriously. Â Bartenders excuse for being rude and incompetent, "you don't understand, things have been crazy today!!"

Oh man, how I dislike this place. Â Unfortunately for me, one day I opened my big mouth about them having wings and ever since my friend suggests this place when we want wings. Â WHY DID I OPEN MY BIG MOUTH?! Â
The wings are alright. Â Fine, they're better than alright, but I've also had better and they're only worth it if you go early enough when the waitress has no choice but to acknowledge you. Â
I had to come here on a Saturday for a birthday and because The Ogden is so close, I was resentful about leaving a bar I enjoy to come here, but I did. Â It was packed, service was awful and I somehow ended up in a political discussion with a guy who insisted on judging me because I have visible piercings. Â That's fine, I can hold my own when it comes to douchebags, but after a half hour of waiting at the bar for a drink, I left and went to Cobra. Â I didn't even want the damn beer as much as I wanted to buy one for the birthday girl, but with service as awful as it is when it's not busy, going when it is packed is pointless. Â Apparently the people around me had been waiting longer than I had and no one seemed happy.
I'm sure I'll end up back here, but I won't be happy about it.
I ordered boneless wings and they sent wings with bones.
Not so bad, easy mistake to make - BUT they refused to deliver what I actually ordered from them. Absurd.
I won't ever be ordering from them again. If they can't get an order right, or fix their mistakes when they make them, they shouldn't be delivering food.
Wow, I've been to this place several times in hopes for a better experience since I do like the chicken wings... But no. Â Several waitresses and bartenders seem to over charge for drinks or add to the tab in hopes you don't notice. Â If you catch it they will fix it. Â If you don't guess what, your paying! Â Horrible way to conduct business.
Review Source:Ok, so it's been a while since we went here for my cousin's bday, but felt compelled to give my review. I have to say out service was actually pretty good. Our waitress was attentive, we did have to wait longer for drinks as the bar got crowded, but nothing drastic. Food was good, we ordered mini burgers and they were quite delish!! My issue was with the DJs. The night we went was advertised as "old school house night", but there was NOTHING old school about the house music being played. So, I requested a song and the DJ replied "that song is played out", um ok? Another person in our party requested a couple other songs to which the 2nd DJ replied "girl, quit living in the past"! Well, if it's OLD school the songs should be from the past, right? Btw- only 4 people were dancing all this time: 2 guys who thought they were battling, the DJs girlfriend and some random guy dancing alone. We took our party down the street, which sucked because the crowd at Betty's blue star lounge was young and rough.
Review Source:Well, if you want to watch a football game and it's across the street from where you live, I guess you're ok. Food is nothing spectacular. The service can be magnificent or magnificently awful. Unfortunately, the latter is usually the case. It's a shame because it's a great location and has been great at times... But mostly it's a letdown.
Review Source:Went on Friday during Lent and caught Bulls game. Garlic BBQ breaded shrimp was best shrimp I ever had. The output hot sauce is actually spicy (Frequent spicy eater). Service wasn't bad, server even charged my ph for me when she heard me say my ph was dying. They played Bulls game audio until mid 4th quarter.
Review Source:Simple review: Get the f'ing wings dummy!!!!!! I eat wings at two places, here and Jake Melnick,s. The wings are amazing. I am addicted to the boneless wings with the original hot sauce. The grilled wings, not on the menu, are also spicy and fabulous. I have seen a lot of comments about the service, but like all new places, it takes time to find your stride and they are figuring it out. Â It's half sports bar/half club and it works. They play a lot of house music, but I go to watch my Chicago teams, drink far too much, eat wings and stumble home. I'll be the hot guy at the bar. You may buy me a drink, but do not interrupt my wing feast. Really, if you do you have no chance.

Fast fwd to recently, I hosted a party there and have to say our hostess Crystal was AMAZING....and completely refreshing. Â
I've been to this establishment a few times and each time I've been there most of the waitresses/bartenders seem to have an attitude like I'm inconveniencing them when ordering a drink. Â Umm...HELLO?! Is this not your place of employment? Â Seems like the only way to get any kind of service is if the patron is a male, in which case they are all over it. Â
I recommend getting your drinks from Crystal, she's definitely on top of her game and very attentive. Â I would give this place 5 stars but the negative attitude from some of the waitresses/bartenders prevents me...it hasn't just happened once but a couple of times. Â
Overrall I'd say its a great place to watch a fight or game with some friends and hang out!

I gotta say the more I come here and hang out with friends the better the service gets! I had to change my rating bc I'm quite impressed with the service and acknowledgement I get when I come here! EXCELLENT is what I have to say!
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME...
They're lucky to even get the one star. Went to watch the Bears game and had to go to the bar twice to ask why a server hadn't been over to help us. (30 min) When the server finally came over (completely unapologetic for the wait) she was impatient and running off before we even got through our order. After Coming back to take our food order (without the beer we had ordered before) we sat for another 30-40 min with NOTHING. As a server myself, I understand being busy and understaffed (as appeared to be the case) but to not even get us our drinks (a simple bucket of beer) was UNACCEPTABLE.
We walked out before the food even arrived and got a slice of pizza down the street. I doubt she had even entered our order at that point...
I'm so torn, that I have to go on the middle for this one. Â It's a welcome addition to the neighborhood, as it would be one of the few bar options west of Ashland. Â My boyfriend and I love the wings here, and we get them a lot. Â I think we might do once every week or two, and we typically get the same thing. Â I am not sure if it's high turnover or what, but we've had several screw-ups on our order. Â It is the service that gets me frustrated and unhappy with my experience and at times I'm left losing a bit of my appetite. Â We get an order of one breaded and one non-breaded buffalo wings - the regular which is still spicy and delicious. Â This is supposed to come with a side of celery sticks and a choice or ranch or blue-cheesed dressing. Â We also get a side of fries that my boyfriend loves. Â Even though we ordered this all the time, we've had incidences where they forgot to give us fries, given us bbq instead of buffalo, chipotle instead of buffalo, and all breaded. Â Also once they charged us for the celery and ranch, which we weren't ever charged for before. Â We always get pick up from here, but one time when the did mess up they came and back to deliver us our correct order. Â As I have waited outside to pick up my orders the burgers look really tasty, and I will have to try that one of these days. Â I do like that they have an outdoor patio for the summer as well. Â There are plenty of tv screens inside and it's a large enough bar to accommodate a big party. Â They have a back room in which it was used by a group of guys to do their fantasy football draft. Â They have daily specials as well, and have the looks of wanting to drive soccer fans in.
Review Source:Great place for House music, and there are parties there almost everyday of the week in back. Â There's awesome House music memorabilia such as Bad Boy Bill's needles, Farley Jackmaster Funk's turntable, signed Daft Punk posters, etc.
The food is excellent, and I like the outdoor seating area. Â Their burgers are delicious.
The service is ok, some of the younger girls may need some help in refining their bartending and waiting skills. Â Be wary of one of the owners who is pure evil. He gets drunk and starts badgering the customers.
All the one and two star rating had it right!!
So hopeful for a decent neighborhood place. Â So disappointed in food and more disappointed in the absolute lack of service. Â One redeeming thing was the tater tots and they actually had a nice selection at the bar that is if someone could figure out how to run it.
So the food.....well the burgers from the menu description were not what arrived at the table. Â Key elements like cheese or bacon described in the menu either weren't on the plate or there were other things like raw onions or a surpise onion ring tucked under the bun that weren't described. Â Don't know why I was asked how I wanted burger cooked because medium rare came out as dry grey chewy beef like patty. Â I don't know who was hand crafting those but never again.
Oh the wings....had read great reviews.....They came out looking great (same time as the entree, which is another story altogther) nice size and then the taste......hey wait what taste? Â I could see some buffalo sauce on them but not enough to make them great or even good. Â It was like eating deep friend diet buffalo wings....so tragic.
Now the service.....OY is the only appropriate term.  We walk in.....three wait people ten feet away at the bar...tick tock tick tock...5 minutes later while they were looking at us looking at them our server finally decided to  recognize that we were actually going to stay.  Should have been my first clue that they were silently signaling to us that this place isn't going to be good you should go now....I guess we just didn't get that message. Â
Drink was order taken and delivered to the bartender.....three patrons actually sitting at the bar almost complete dead scene (another missed clue) and she filled one of the drinks which was handed to the waitress and brought right back to the table and the other drink disappear into the abyss of "oops you ordered that, sorry it will be right up"....tick tock tick tock. Â That drink actually arrived 5 minutes after the first.
I could ramble on forever about a place I absolute won't forget for all the wrong reasons and will absolutely never go to or recommend.
So tragic for a neighboorhood deserving of so much more!

Friday night recap:
There's a sign above the bar that says, "$5 Bacardi drinks". Â My friend orders 3 Bacardi Razz and Tonics and gets charged....$7 each. Â Um, what? Â When my friend asked the waitress about the discrepancy, the waitress replies, "Oh, I dunno...they're $7." Â My friend then proceeds to point to the above mentioned sign. Â When the waitress looked at the sign, she immediately got a sheepish look on her face. Â The "manager" re-charged my friend the right prices, but...seriously? Â
The bartenders were definitely overworked on Friday, but they all looked frazzled. Â For instance, we ordered ONE shot with our drink order. Â But, the bartender didn't bring it to us until, literally, 15 minutes after she gave us our drinks. Â She would tend to a million other customers at the same time, thus forgetting what she was doing for who. Â I admire those who work in industry (because I would completely fail at it), but perhaps this particular bartender should consider taking some adderall to help her focus. Â
I give this place credit, though - it was sufficiently packed on a Friday. Â They had a live, house music dj and the dance floor was crowded for most of the night.
Went there on a monday night with a small group of friends and had a blast! They told me there was a good deal on wings on a monday and they weren't joking!
The beer selection was very impressive. Great selection of draft, import, domestic and craft beers. I had the Bear Republic Racer, which was really good.
I had wings and fries and both were really good. Someone in my group had the burger bites and said they were good too.
The waitress was very nice, manager on point and friendly crowd at the bar. I'm definitely going back next week.
$7 for 10 wings was decent. $3 for ranch, carrots, and celery not so much. $.75 for ranch(x2), and .$75 each for celery and carrots. Got the Groupon Now for $15 for $25. I pulled it up on my phone, bartender appeared to be from Mars at this point. Wrote down the number and then had to find the owner. He happened to be sitting next to us at the bar drinking w/his friends the whole time. Between the two of them they had no clue what to do. This deal was on Groupon all day. Safe to say I'm the first to use it at 9pm. The bartender wanted to call G to "redeem and verify". Yeah, that was going to happen. So finally after my battery life went from 7 to 2% they figured it out. They ran it under a Poggled coupon, put 18% gratuity on the bill and called it a day. Bartender was nice and talkative up until this point. Didn't even say thank you or bye. Yeah it's my fault you guys don't know how to handle to promos you sign up for.
Fish sandwich was forgettable w/a solid glop of tarter sauce on the end of the sandwich. The mini burgers were OK. However, even tho this item is in the middle of all the other burger options it's the only one that doesn't come w/a side. Did it say that anywhere? No, of course not. Did the bartender have to ask owner again? Yes, of course. I didn't argue this only b/c I had the Groupon. Really wish I didn't b/c I could've spent that money elsewhere and save me the time from yelping about a place that prob will be open for another month or so.
Beer menu was all off. I'm sure it's not b/c it's ever changing, they prob just don't know what they offer. 3 of the 6 draft selections didn't match up to the actual and don't get me started on the bottles.
Will I go back? Well it took me $15 for $25 to get there and I live down the road. After all that, def not.
Purchased a Poggled from 5/16 for Output Lounge that said,
"$12 for Pub Fare, Cocktails, Pints and a Shot ($25 value)
What's Included:
10 chicken wings, 2 pints of beer or well cocktails, and 1 shot of Jameson Whiskey or Espolon Tequila."
After ordering each item included in the deal, the check took 30 minutes to come. Â
Finally the waitress comes out and says the owner won't honor the deal. Â The owner explained that the deal was supposed to be:
10 wings & 2 pints
OR
A cocktail and a shot
HOW DOES THAT TRANSLATE?
We spent another 15 minutes arguing with the owner about how commas work and elementary grammar.
Finally the owner says, "You're wrong, and I don't ever want anyone like you coming in here ever again. Â Just tell me what you want to pay and don't come back"
I wouldn't recommend going here and I regret spending money in an establishment where the owner treats his new customers so poorly. Â
The waitress was very understanding and respectful, but the owner was a complete jerk. Â Company culture starts at the top. Â He should know better than to treat customers like that, especially when he is at fault.
