This is a decent little breakfast spot, nothing special, but good food at a good price. Christopher had the chorizo omelet and I had biscuits and gravy. The portions were large and the food fairly tasty. We will be back, but I don't see us as regulars.
Oh yes, they make fresh and yummy empanadas. At 75 cents each they are worth a try. They come in beef and chicken. I can recommend the beef.
P & S is a fairly average diner. The place looks well and truly trapped in the 1970's with the wood veneer panels, dropped ceilings, stools at the counter and tired looking booths and hand written signs featuring the specials - without charm. Probably best described as a dive diner.
For food we had; huevos Mexicana and the eggs with sausage. Pretty good portion sizes. The hash browns were solid, though needed some seasoning. The additional ordered salsa saved the huevos Mexicana, it was lacking in kick and flavor. Pricing pretty outstanding and cheap. Plenty of options on the menu, but not much variety from sandwiches to breakfast combinations with some Hispanic twists.
Coffee fairly typical and ordinary diner style coffee.
Crowd a mixture of Hispanic families and a few booths of middle aged couples.
Service quite efficient and friendly, keeping the coffee topped up.
I've seen this place on the corner for years and was never really sure it was ever open. Well, it is. And it's fantastic. It's everything you expect from a diner -- friendly waitress who fills your coffee every five minutes, decent size portions of eggs, hashbrowns and the like. And while we were eating breakfast, they kept coming out of the back with fresh baked goods that were very tempting. The food is great and high-quality and it's pretty cheap, too. A perfect diner.
