Paddy Jack's

Excited for a new restaurant in downtown Sylvania. Instead it's another disappointing  "Breastaurant". Waitress outfits are just goofy and in poor taste considering the parochial school a block away. Food was greasy, the fries were mushy and cold despite the fact we were the only people there.  Deep fried food should not be that hard.  Decor is weak, Irish I guess but not at all cozy like a pub. Won't be back!

I was happy when I saw that Paddy Jack's was moving into the former Jenna's Mediterranean location.  It's nice to see many new businesses moving into the Sylvania Downtown area and I think this restaurant will do great there.

We stopped by on Saturday and it was obvious that they brought employees from the other location because everything ran smoothly despite being opening weekend - the food and service were just as good as the other restaurant.

I'd give this place more stars but there are two things holding it back.  The beer selection is the same as the other restaurant but it is bottles only - no draft.  Part of what I enjoy about their Central location is that they have great beers like 21st Amendment on draft that you don't find anywhere else in town - big letdown.  The other issue I have is the decor.  Just like the other location - tacky.  The loosely established "irish" theme is represented by some crappy looking posters, generally placed haphazardly throughout.  The layout is kind of goofy too and feels more like a diner.  

Beer selection, food quality, decent service and the convenient location (for me) will keep me coming back.
