My biggest issue with this place is how disgustingly filthy it is, the couches seriously look like they got them from a dump. The hookah tasted kinda weird and we had to wait a while for new coals. The music gets a bit repetitive and we sat next to a fish tank that looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months.. The fish might be dying... The customer service isn't too bad, And I'd consider coming back if it weren't for the filth.
Review Source:Well.... Not too much to say about this little place... This place is at the corner on mission blvd. .... But really nice place to chill......
Owners are nice to everyone , good Music.. Nice hookahs , good flavors....people are nice , they keep checking on coal after a while and flavor if its not harsh, and they can really change it if you request them..
Fridays are almost packed up badly , so this little hookah bars turns on to be a club... So people actually start dancing , actually the DJ is awesome , he knows what to play at the right time.... You guys doing a good job ... Keep it up
Daaamn, can we say ghetto? Like ghe-heh-heh-toe.
Cons:
-Ridiculously expensive. $10/person? I can't believe I stayed.
-Dirty furniture. The couches and chairs were stained and probably never cleaned.
-Subpar hookah.
-Questionable crowd. Lots of gangster-types and underage kids getting drunk in the parking lot.
-Did I mention ghetto? I felt like I was in someone's garage.
Pros:
-Convenient location for Haywardians (Hayward-ites?). Mission is easily accessible (though shady).
-Friendly staff. There were always guys checking on us and replacing burned-out coal. On the way out, the owner thanked us and wished us a good night.
They were blasting Lil Wayne and Too Short songs through the speakers and had Bucky Larson playing on the TV. Poor taste in sights and sounds. I had a good time, but I credit that to an open attitude, good company, and the fact that I was already inebriated upon entering. A few investments like actual flooring, more resilient furniture, and a drink selection could make this a decent place to hang out. But yeah I probably wouldn't ever come back.
Good customer service which seems very genuine and sincere. Im impressed, I've smoked hookah in Kuwait when I was in the military- Â the tobacco products and hookahs here are the real deal. Moreover, the service was good, genuine and sincere. Overall, good place. That part of Hayward has taken a plunge over the years, so don't leave ANYTHING visible in your LOCKED car... Or crackheads WILL steal your shit.
Review Source:Basically, the first time friends & I went there, our car got broken in. What got stolen? Coach purses, cameras, MAC book and credit/debit cards. I liked the fact that the place had a good vibe but their parking lot, they need to keep an eye on that. I liked their friendly service but probably never visiting that place EVER. AGAIN.
Review Source:Umm,.. like where eryone at? i havent been there in like a year but here's my perspective of te last visit..
delighted their parking moved to the back of the building, safer.
Hookah isnt as dandy as it should be.. OK so it sux ! Â it has an ashy taste to it
The  place ? more on the ghetto scale. High school kids enviroment, bring ur own drinks.
The one thing i love is  the ambiance the've created, mellow sorta romantic, neon/ flourescent lights.( okayy so it's naughty.. who doesnt like a naughty enviroment..)
The dj? Dj illusion? rocks it , when he's there..
passed by it on  a saturday recently, place looked DEAD.
I've been there twice. Went on a Friday and it was crackin. I recently went there on a Tuesday and it was dead as we all imagined it would be but the music was on replay, wasn't as good as the first time we went. Although they have amazing customer service. Refill is $7 they come and go to check on your coals. If you don't like the flavor they switch it out for a different one for free. Over all great place. But I recommend Friday nights when the dj is spinnin.
Review Source:Really wish I could give this place 0 stars.
Everything about it is horrible: the prices, the service, the quality of the hookah.
$10 a person and only 2 people per hookah. Ridiculous expensive. Places are usually $15-$20 and are 3 people to a hookah.
The hookah probably lasted only 30 minutes at most before it started to burn. We asked the guy if there was anything he can do about it and he said we would have to pay another $10 for a refill. Unacceptable.
Definitely won't come back again and will tell everyone not to either!
Blaze is down the street and is much better (except they have cover on weekends just because they have a DJ.)
So I went here for the first time tonight and it was an ok experience. For a Thursday night, I was expecting a bit of a crowd but it was pretty dead. From the outside, it looks pretty shabby and its right next to a Mosque! (parking is hard when its prayer time!) Other then that, the staff is really nice and down to earth. They treat you like family and try to ensure that you have an enjoyable visit. The interior is really nice with white couches all across the walls. This place def. has potential but unfortunately I didn't get to see it when it was busy. I guess its more of a hit or miss type of place.
I would def. try this place out once more to see if its truly dead or just an unfortunate timing on my end.
My first time here was on a Saturday night when they had their weekly party, and I can say that it was pretty enjoyable. The atmosphere was good with positive people enjoying their hookahs and enjoying the music played by the DJ. Their prices were very reasonable especially for a party night, and their shisha was nice and smooth.
The service was a tad slow, it took about 15 minutes before a staff member actually approached my party and asked if we needed anything. Also the noise level was very high from the speakers they had.. I think I left the lounge deaf in one ear.
Other than that, this place isnt too bad and I would probably return in the future. But as of now, Blaze Hookah down the street is the spot to be!
The only reason this place gets a 1 was because they had a good DJ and the actual inside was clean.
As far as the hookah harshest nastiest thing I have ever smoked. They use quick light coals that are too damn big for your hookah and the hose was dirty because I got a mouthful of old coal in the hose.
It was also expensive 10.00 cover charge per person. That includes hookah but even if you don't smoke that is a lot. Other hookah bars do 15.00 for 2 people and its full service.
The crowd there is also a bit shady you dont know if you are going to get your rims jacked when you come back to your car or not. I would not go unless I had to. FAIL!
Most reviews seem to be written by owners friends do not trust them. If you know how to smoke hookah properly you will want to commit suicide after you leave this place.
i liked this place alot the atmosphere was nice alot of beautiful indian grls and the music was coo and i was really really feeling this place but the hookah im sorry for saying this the ppl were nice there but there hookah is garbage just everything about it was bad ....o well ill give them a second chance hopefully ill get a working and fresh tasting hookah this time
Review Source:Way overpriced and the guy is a total jerk who owns it . They barely speak any English . They also close way early if there is slow business kicked us out after 30 min they said they were gonna close because theres no one else comming . Total Baloney i would reccomend going somewhere in the city its way better
Review Source:its a good place on a regular day. but if you go when they are having a so called party (NOTTT) believe me it is not worth it. $20.00 per person and one hookah for every 2 ppl. so 40.00 hookah and IT IS NOT A PARTY INSIDE. just a dj who is doing nothing but playing songs from his laptop. the security was cool though. and  i think the guy who runs it let this little success get to his head because he was being an asshole. Our group of friends were the only ones dancing and having fun and making other people have fun. the dj played a couple of songs we told him to and that was about the only thing good about that night. will go as a last resort, but not on a so called party night. don't waste your money, $40.00 for a hookah and still pay if you want a refill, NOT WORTH IT.
Review Source:I am hookah addict. I smoke a lot of sheesha, and I've been to lots of hookah bars so I'm a bit more conservative in my opinion. They're place is very nice, the environment is great with individual couches, TV's and lighting effects. The environment alone is really nice. The negative part is the sheesha/hookah isn't good. They use goo type of tobacco and good flavors but very bad coal (yes there are different coals and produce different results). Not to mention, their hookah pipe also is not all that.
If you're a first timer, you will enjoy it. If your a hookah'addict, its nothing to write home about.
By the way, for folks who are first time smokers, I see people saying they get headaches from smoking. Lounge owners should be telling this to you. First time smokers, you should take it very easy while smoking. Take small sips until your body gets used to it. Take breaks by going out side the hookah lounge to get fresh air. Most of these lounges are not properly ventilated, so its important to get fresh air if you're lungs aren't used to this much smoke. :-) Most importantly - Always eat at least 20 minutes before you smoke! This is super important because you can get really... really messed up if you don't. I have seen people faint! It's like alcohol, if you drink with empty stumach, it will affect you more.
Happy Smoking!
This place was alright. I did not like how they were making us buy a certain amount at first because there was 6 of us but only 3 of us were going to smoke because there others just went to hang out with us, They were going to charge for all of us, until we told them to forget it we were leaving, that's when they changed their mind. so We finally sat down, it was a pretty cool place very chill and relaxing, the music was good. I overall had a good time and everybody there was very nice, not crowded at all. Good place to go too just to relax and hang out and lay low.
Review Source:We have been to this place twice now, and liked it a lot both times. The first time we were the only people there for over an hour. Second time we went later at night (around 9) and there were several groups present. Hookah is really good, lots of flavors to choose from. People who own the bar are very nice. Great music and overall one of the better in the East Bay.
Would have been 5 stars except the atmosphere was lacking. Â They have a plasma tv that was on CNN when we first entered. Â They changed it when we sat down but it was kinda funny. Â The seating could be much better. Â Its basically a bunch of recliners in a row. Â I was disappointed that my boyfriend and I couldnt share a seat or couch. Â Forced us to one chair each. Â The walls are plain and the front windows should be blacked out. Â The black lights were pretty cool tho! Â
Good place for hookah, fair prices, but lacking environment.
LOVE IT!!! They play hip-hop music, have MTV on the flat screens and it's a nice place to kick it. I connected to wi-fi while I was there. Â The father and son are really nice and remembered me when I went back the second time.
They have a lot of different flavors also. The only complaint is there is only bottled water and snapple. I wish they had a variety of food and drinks. Still... I LOVE THIS PLACE
When i think of hookah, i think of the first time that i tried it. Â I was at my house in Davis, and my friend Chris bought a hookah, so we decided to do some hookah in his room. Â After a good 10 puffs, my cousin Jamie C. knocks over the damn thing and the coal is on the floor slowly burning through our carpet. Â It took us a minute to get the coal off the floor and into the toilet where it exploded. Â For some reason i had to clean the mess up. Â Needless to say, the owners of the house weren't too happy about this.
Anyhoo, this place brought back those fears of knocking over the hookah and burning a hole in their carpet. Â I'm not sure why this gets me so paranoid but it does. Â This place is actually indoors with a bunch of lounge chairs everywhere. Â There is a counter where you can buy different things like a hookah or a carton of cigarettes. Â It's almost like a smoke shop but not. Â We picked 2 flavors for the 4 of us, Sex on the Beach and some kind of macchiato. Â So we find a seat and the put the hookah on the floor between your chairs and set it up for you. Â You get individual mouth pieces as well. Â Seeing how it's on the floor i kept my feet away from it in fear i would accidently kick it over.
I think they could use more liquid refreshments because a mini fridge of water and/or soda isn't going to cut it. Â I also wish that there was some ventilation like a window or something because it got stuffy quick. Â Not to mention your clothes start to smell like Sex with Macchiato. Â They also play loud ass rap music and have bollywood on the tv. Â
Having not smoked anything for almost a year, (i did get a puff from Berna at her bday and i think i bummed a cigarette off of Darin or Ruthifer once as well in November, so maybe it's been a lot shorter than a year) Â I felt sick after an hour of non stop hookah smoking. Â So my solution is to start smoking again (i always just socially smoked when i was drunk, which would probably be the best time for people to take advantage of me) or to never smoke again. Â I'll probably do the latter but all input is welcome.
This place just opened up on saturday (july 12) and it is conveniently located close to home. I saw it driving by one day and decided to email the owner to see when it opened.
Went here around 7:30 with some friends. It's 7 bucks per head, but if you go with a group they are nice enough to let some people slide. It's 3 per hookah and 21 bucks for an extra hookah.
Now, usually, we'd have to go to Palo Alto or San Jose to hookah and that's quite a bit of a drive nowadays considering gas prices.
Since this place is located on Mission Blvd. I didn't expect much to be honest. + 1 for being in Hayward. -1 for the atmosphere (although it is a new business and it's getting it's feet wet, it was pretty janky for its opening)
+1 for awesome flavors and getting quickly lightheaded (in a good way)
+1 for friendly customer service
+1 for them letting us be loud and having a corner to ourselves
Also when you first walk in it looks like it's just a bunch of sofa seats lined up ready to be sold, but hey what do you expect. IT'S HAYWARD.
Flavors we had:
Sex on the Beach: pretty delish, has a hint of coconut at the end
Margarita: honestly, like you were drinking a margarita and at the end you lick the salt off
Caramel Macchiato: MMM, smells sort of like caramel popcorn and near the end the flavor started disappearing, but good while it lasted
Grape: great too! nice and smoooth
ALSO, I should dock a star, but they were pretty on top of things, the hookahs are a bit wobbly or 'broken' at some times (during the second round) and they don't give you the tongs to tap your own coals so you always got to flag them down. but they do give you your own mouthpieces.
I guess it is important to have reliable hookahs at a hookah place haha! I'd give 3.5 but more near 4. so 4 it is.
