Really good burrito w/big hunks of chicken; very tasty. Fast, courteous service. Salsa was mild, but home made. I tend to like spicy, and I'm sure it's available but I didn't ask.
Not very crowded at lunch which is a surprise. I found this place while on business and in town for the day only. I'll come back if I'm in the area
LOVE Pancho Villa! I recommend the enchiladas, very tasty! They have excellent queso as well. Â The strawberry and raspberry margaritas are also good, but I like my margaritas on the sweet side. Â
I have always had good service here and the restaurant has always been clean. Â Great place for happy hour after work.
I really am still kind of processing this dinner. Â So my family of four, two adults and two children went in for dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant was not packed but not dead either. Our server was great very attentive, patient and suggestive. I am a former waitress so I like to be uphold! To a certain extent anyway. So my husband asks for a margarita, the server says top shelf is $3 off.. OK sounds good! He gets it it was good. The food was bland but it wasn't bad. It came out quick and was what we asked for. We asked for a side of sour cream for the kids. The server asked if we wanted one or two. Normally a small portion in a ramikin is served so we say two. Expecting maybe a 75 cent charge for each. Turns out to be small bowls of sour cream... OK. At this point we are now laughing at each other about how bad we have been up sold. We say no to desert. Thank god! The check comes, the $3 off margarita was still $17.... whoa!!!! He said it was good, not so amazing he thought it held a bottle of tequila in it! We both had to laugh. We never asked!! The sour cream bowls $1.50 each. What normally would have been a 30-40 check was 60-70. Well played young server. I do find this to be a bit outrageous though. The food was really sub par but server was really good. I do not like feeling like I have been played after eating though!! I hope these aren't there normal tactics.... we won't be back though. If I Â am going to spend close to $100 for dinner it better be good!!
Review Source:All in all, not bad. Â The fajitas were tasty, as were the chips and salsa. Â The first margarita was good, but the second one...not so much. Â Don't know if they switched bar tenders, or just forgot how to make a good margarita. Â Went another day for the lunch buffet. Â Nothing special, but a solid deal for less than 9 bucks. Â Staff was friendly. Â Would go back there again.
Review Source:A very average Mexican restaurant. I thought it would be more authentic, but it was disappointingly very chain-like. I got the fish tacos and the fish was dry and tasteless. I had to douse the whole thing with a ton of salsa to make it edible for consumption. Honestly I think you would be better off going to Chipotle or Taco Bell even and it would be considerably cheaper.
Review Source:Pancho Villa used to be my favorite mexican restaurant in the area. Â When I come into town, I always make a trip in for dinner. Â This time, it wasn't so great and makes me wonder if they've just lost it. Â I see where there's a million of these open in the area now so maybe they're not what they used to be as they've obviously chosen quantity of restaurants over quality of a few. Â We started with the cheese (not queso) dip which we all agreed was quite good. Â I got the chimichanga which was mostly wrap and not a lot of stuffing. Â I think it should also be served with beans and rice (not just beans). Â Another dinner was the El Gordo Burrito which was supposed to be grilled beef, rice and beans and it was mostly stuffed with rice. Â That one was the most disappointing. Â Lastly, a combo plate was ordered with a taco, tostado and enchilada and it was enjoyed. Â The quality of the food just wasn't what it used to be when this was a small family restaurant. Â I think I'll try some other places on my next visit and not be so dedicated to Pancho Villa as they're not as dedicated to their food anymore.
Review Source:Pancho Villa has lost it - this once great authentic Mexican restaurant now suffers from tasteless bland overcooked food. The service is as bad as the food now as well. The F'burg and Culpeper location have really gone down hill. Go to taco bell instead of Pancho Villa at least Taco Bell doesn't pretend to be authentic. I would give them zero stars if I could.
Review Source:One bite of the greasy, meat filled (looked like stew meat?), carnitas taco, and I literally felt a chill go through my body followed by overwhelming nausea and the urge to blow chunks on the table. Don't eat here...Oh and the rice tasted like dish water with jalepeno in it...just absolutely gross.
Review Source:Good service, but terrible taco for $1.91.
Got one to go because I thought it was a Pancho Villa Express, but I'm not sure if that exists. Taco was full of cheese, greasy beef, and some lettuce; no tomato or salsa, no cilantro, nothing.
Taco Bell sucks, but I recommend it over this. Cheaper and has some sort of vegetables, at least.
Searching for a Mexican restaurant that's close to the quality we find in hometown Tucson is always a mission of ours when traveling.
We discovered Pancho Villa while staying in the Fred area and really love it. Great sweet tea and beer and tasty entrees at a fair price. Our server was friendly and quick to tend to our requests.
The cauliflower rellenos get a 5 star for being inspired and really good.
The cheese enchildadas and bean tostada was very good also.....this was one of 5 vegetarian selections offered.
Chips were nice and warm and the salsa  most excellent.
It's comfortable and relaxing to be there....we've got a statue of Pancho in downtown Tucson so we feel like we're dining with a friend when we're here.
We're definitely fans of this restaurant!
We moved to Fredericksburg 3 weeks ago, and we just realized we haven't had any Mexican food since the move! My in-laws stopped at Pancho Villa on the way up from Raleigh, and they said it was great, AND they had a big vegetarian section on the menu. So I googled their menu, and we called in a to-go order while we were out shopping. There was some confusion with what we ordered (a plate of any 3 items). The girl said that they will do that with only TWO items. Whatever. The food was REALLY good! I can't wait to go back! And they even give you a little bag of chips and salsa! We got a take-out menu to see what the problem was, and sure enough, the website on the menu is different than the one I was looking at. Maybe they just forgot about the old website? Oh well. It was some good eats. Oh, and they have 2 items you don't see alot: a potato burrito and a cauliflower relleno! Those sound delish.
