My mother and brother order from here often, and I honestly don't understand what the hype is with them always ordering from here.
Every time I've had their delivery, the pizza is way too greasy for anyone's good, the dough seems a little under cooked, and last time the cheese slid off just leaving a big puddle of grease. I'd rather go to little ceasars if I want cheap and greasy. I'm also picky about crust, and I end up not eating it whenever we get their pizza.

Ordering online is super easy and my deliveries have always been on time.
Around $30 for a pizza, sides, 6 pack and tip.
Ordered delivery to Lincoln Park. Arrived ahead of schedule, and hot. Â A big plus. Pizza was Ok at best..just not much flavor to it (we ordered a sausage & jalepeno). Â Not my favorite.
Mac & cheese was fantastic & bosco sticks were good. If it were closer or if I am nearby, I might try some other items, but not worth the effort to order delivery from again.
Papa Rays surprised me- it was pretty good!
The wings are breaded and were tasty, and well prepared. The garlic cheese bread was awesome too!
The pizza is on a nice crust kinda a cross-breed of a lou malnati's and a thin crust, buttery and crisp. The sauce is not over powering which is the way I like it.
The service was great! I did pick up and they were very attentive.
I tried to order from the menu online but apparently the half-tray any salad for $19.99 is no longer available. Â I hate it when restaurants don't keep their online menu updated. Â I asked for no onions but they put onions anyway, and they skimped on all the ingredients -- the salad was almost all lettuce.
They offered me a free one next visit, which redeemed the experience.
Ok after reading reviews I was a little skeptical about ordering but in fairness you can't judge from just a few bad reviews and there were some rave reviews so I thought..... Why not!?!
Ok First they have great skills in describing some pretty yummy (and not being hurtful here) Junk food. We ordered the Bosco Bread Mac and Cheese with smoked Bacon and 20 Wings. We got the Garlic Parmesan Wings and then the mild version of their wing sauce.
The Bosco Bread was a little disappointing. I didn't think the cheese was warm enough inside the bread. But I still ate them (2 of them). The Mac and Cheese was Great! I love that you can add a topping! You get charged but it's still good. Not Awesome. Just good. The Wings were okay as well. Not what I was expecting with the Garlic Parmesan. I thought it would be a wet sauce not a dry crunchy one. But it was ok. And the Mild sauce was definitely mild. And after what I was doing to my stomach my heartburn was very thankful that I went with mild.
We ordered online so we could get free delivery. Its true they really do have a lot of coupons. However, I was never able to figure out how to put in more than one code. So if you are able to use more than one coupon...... Good Luck. Our marked delivery time was for 8:15 pm. At 8:22 we called and then found out that only a few moments earlier it was discovered that our food was delivered to the wrong house. They apologized for the inconvenience and then asked what they could do to make it up to us. I said free dessert and they granted my wishes. Finally at 9:15 our food arrived. The driver called our cell to say he was outside. we came to the door and he explained that it was the restaurant that had given him the wrong food not him sending it to the wrong house. This information was volunteered we just wanted our food.
All in all I would say that it was ok food and that I would order again not wild about it but not completely dissatisfied either. And the service was well intentioned. mistakes do happen. I know I make more than my fair share. At least the mistake was not ignored and they were genuine about wanting to give good service.

You can get a slice of 'za and a Coke and a smile for $5.49 at lunch. Â Oh... the slice is the size of a nearly full-term human fetus.
Amongst the best wings ive had. Â And they are. 50 cents on Tuesdays. Â Big, meaty, saucy. Â

Tons of coupons when ordering online. Â Like, free 6 pack of soda for spending $15. Â
Delicious well-crafted calzone. Â I recommend the ham and green olive... unless you're a p*ssy.
Bottom line? Â This place is the tits.
their pizza tastes like it was bought at dollar tree and some how it always makes my stumach hurt after i eat it. i had their pizza 3 times and sadly i never ever will again.
i think the place has potential but they need to cook the pizza more, its like the dough was not fully cooked and the cheese is too greasy, more than it should be.
i had their classic chicken salad and sadly i was dissapointed. the chicken looks like it was bought from aldi's and its pre-cooked. seriously it sucked. the salad came with a garlic bread, but sadly it was undercooked too.
they need to buy better quality ingredients
I really like their food but am bothered by their service. Twice now i have gone there to pick up my food after ordering. On the phone they say it will be ready in 30 minutes. When I arrive for pick up i don't expect to wait for 45 minutes and watch people throw the orders together because they are poorly organized. I really got the sense that the employess were lost. They scurry abut and don't say anything. The guy on the fry station kept looking at orders without doing anything or matching them up with the mountain of pizzas that were already completed and waiting for delivery. I ended up standing there and asking about my order multiple times. As it turned out the pizza had been ready for quite some time but the order of wings was not finished. I am sure my wings went out with the drivers who seem to wander in and just take what they need.
Advice: get an expediter to keep the orders organized and this won't happen.
I have ordered delivery from Papa Ray's twice now. Â It's decent. Â You can't beat the amazing coupons and free delivery. Â The first time my pizza was a little burnt, but the cheesy bread was delicious. Â Tonight I ordered myself a small BBQ chicken pizza and it was also just okay. Â Someone must have been careless in loading the delivery boxes because when I opened it half my cheese was gone! Â It was bunched up on one side of the box and the pizza was waaaaay too saucy. Â I'll ask for light sauce next time. Â I got a side of mac and cheese and thought it tasted fine and was a very generous portion. Â Overall, I have had better luck with sides here than actual pizza, but nothing was terrible. Â Fantastic free delivery and customer service.

The place was relatively clean so I know I won't be back here again, unless I really really need pizza.
First time i try it since it was taken over and I am not impressed. $24+ for a medium hawaiian pizza the size of a small? Not to mention the time left on hold and after that a conversation the person at the counter had while I listened. Definitely NOT my first choice from now on. Â Expensive and not high quality or taste.

Their pizza is pretty good if you're into the 'pie-type' pizza, loaded with yummy cheese, tangy sauce and hearty crust. Be warned, it's a little on the greasy side, but if you're settling for pizza that's to be expected. I had this before anything else from them.
The not so good.
I had mono and was unable to eat and pretty felt like death so I had the bright idea to order from PR because of its proximity to my apt. I ordered the BBQ chicken wings and requested that they put the BBQ sauce on the side. I also had fries and french bread. The chicken was ok. On the well-done, dried out side of ok. But ok. The fries were good. (I may be a bit biased due to the ease of which I was able to eat them given my throat felt like hell) But they were well-cooked and fresh. I can't remember anything about the french bread, so yeah.
The ugly.
Thinking I would give them another try, I walked over near closing on a Sat. night and ordered the boneless wings. I waited for about 15 mins. When I got home I discovered they were more like dried, over-fried, cut-up tenders. Not good. This was a joke. One that was not funny. I think I am done with them for a while unless it is for pizza. But, my trainer has me on a strict diet, so even that may be a while.
Every once in a while I like to try random delivery places that leave flyers attached to my doorknob and it turns out this place was worth it. Â I wasn't expecting much, but their pizza is really good. Â It was one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. Â The crust is awesome (kind of a medium thick crust w/ a buttery flavor) and it holds up really well in the refrigerator without getting soggy, if you have leftovers. Â We got sausage, bacon, and mushroom and all the toppings were excellent. Â Also on their flyer they had a coupon for free cheesy bread ($4.99 value) for orders over $15. Â Since the pizza was a little more than that we got those too. Â Turns out the cheesy bread is a small really cheese, really awesome tasting pizza (nice picture of it on the website). Â So with the coupon and the great taste this place was a great deal. Â We've gotten delivery from their three times since. Â I also wanted to mention that delivery was quick and both the driver and the person who answers the phone have been very nice each time we called. Â I only say this because it's not so common anymore to find such nice people working in the service industry.
