I love this place. One of the best breakfast spots in town, late-night or otherwise. They have the fluffiest, best-tasting scrambled eggs, and everything else just tastes really fresh. I rarely eat anything other than breakfast here, but I recall having a decent burger here once too. I always choose Perkins over Denny's or IHOP. Â I mean, come on- they have a
bakery!
I love Perkins. I didn't have them around where I grew up and I think I like them more than Denny's or Ihop. Denny's seems so salty.
The servers at this location have always been nice and attentive.
I usually stick to breakfast and go with something with eggs. I like how there are different choices for the sides. I usually stick with pancakes or a muffin.
Its priced decent as well and it 24 hours. Thats great for me since I keep weird hours!
Perkins is probably right up there for being one of my favorite hangover meals of all time. A large group of us (about seven people) went to Perkins after a brutal night out on the town. Breakfast was screaming our names and we needed eggs, potatoes, bacon, and tons of gravy to fill the empty void that once was full of nourishment. It was a fantastic meal to say the least. The food was wonderful. I ordered the chicken biscuits, which came with two eggs cooked to order, bacon, hash browns or breakfast potatoes, and of course, the chicken biscuits, all covered in gravy and cheese. What seems like a nightmarish situation for your heart is overthrown by the love your taste buds will experience. Everyone seemed incredibly happy with their meal, and for around $10 to boot.
Our waitress may as well have been a superhero. She was super kind and basically served us like we were her own flesh and blood. She is older, gray hair, and a server's heart of gold. She was fast, accurate, very sweet, and did her job without error. She even offered to-go drinks for people who ordered not water beverages. How does that even happen? On your way out you should definitely give the bakery counter a once over to see the glowing goodness that is their pie selection.
For what it is, Perkins is great. Very dependable breakfast and late night spot. Great place to go when you're hammered and starving (just get someone to drive you) or for Sunday hungover brunch. The servers are really nice and the food is pretty decent.
I know their pies are awesome, too, although I never get them because I know I would probably eat the whole thing if I took it home.
Perkins is perkin'.
You know, Perkins is sort of like Denny's except warmer - more inviting. Â Perkins is sort of like Cracker Barrel, except not as cracker. Its just right - and its cheap.
During the week is the best because its not over crowded, never rushed and the breakfast specials run around $5 or $6 bucks.
I never go to Perkins for anything other than breakfast so I can't comment on the dinner and lunch food, but the pastries are always loaded with carbs, the eggs are cooked the way you ask, and the waitresses call you "hon". Â Mmmm hmmm - I might just have to go to Perkins right now - they're open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
