Best pizza in the Bridgeport/Pilsen area, and that's a pretty huge accreditation. Their other food is great too. HINT: Ask for your pasta BAKED. It's great.
If you expect a red carpet rolled out before you and your pizza delivery guy to wear a tux and pour root beer into your cup every time you take a sip, the problem is your own delusions. I can't believe this place gets poor reviews based on their customer service. Their job is to make delicious pizza and sell it to you, and they do that very well.
If you're expecting your ass to be kissed, why the hell are you ordering pizza in Bridgeport to begin with?
This is a Bridgeport institution. If you haven't had the greasy, guilty pleasure that is Phil's you really owe it to yourself to give it a shot.
Normally, I knock restaurants down for poor service. However, I've found the brusque nature of Phil's employees to be part it's charm.
This is a genuine, dyed in the wool Chicago neighborhood pizza place.
