eat it up. thin, pan, or stuffed pizza.  Sauce is unmistakable in flavor, and the pizza irresistible.

Shhhhh. Do not tell anybody about this place. This is definitely one of the hidden gems on the North Shore. Piero's has some of the best thin and pan pizza in Chicago. The Ascolana is my favorite. The funny thing is I keep trying new pizza places and really liking them but I have to tell you that Piero's is the real Italian deal. Right down to mamma that works the register up front. I love her. One time I came to get pizza and she was speaking to the boys in back in Italian and she did not seem happy but she is always lovely to customers.

The pizza is Grade A top of the line fresh ingredients. They put their hearts into the pizza and it shows. You feel like you are picking up pizza from a small villa. About 4 tables and that's it. This is not a sit down type of place. You order or have it delivered, cash only no excuses. Old school register and receipts. That's it, that's all. Love it or leave it. Wish more places were like this on the North Shore. Anyone who is reading my review and orders from Piero's knows what I am talking about.

The great thing about Piero's is that they will never be a sit down pizza place so it will keep our hidden gem quiet from  everyone else. Too many places that start out small end up getting much bigger because the entire Chicago area finds about them and takes away the little slice of heaven of a restaurant that the suburbs may have.

Anyway try it if you live close. You will not be disappointed.

I ordered for the first time from Piero's pizza for delivery.

The pizza was excellent really tasty and much better quality than I was expecting.  I ordered a thin crust mushroom and black olives pizza.  The delivery was fast and friendly.  I'd recommend these guys

Great deep dish pizza and salads.  In the same league as many of the famous Chicago pizza favorites.  Doesn't really have a place to eat inside so plan to get it delivered or take out.  Haven't checked out the pasta's on menu yet.

You aren't going to find better pizza in Wilmette than Piero's; this is the stuff I grew up on.

Their thin crust is probably the best I've ever had; no cardboard-like crust and not too greasy. Toppings are plentiful and always fresh, pizza is sliced into rectangles, makes probably the best leftover pizza as well. Seriously eat this cold the next day, it is magical.

The deep dish is also outstanding. The crust is actually perfect. No joke. It's got just the right balance of crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. Loaded up the proper way with lots of cheese and topped with their excellent sauce.

My family has been ordering from Piero's for as long as I can remember. I still have yet to find better pizza on the North Shore than Piero's.

P.S. Don't forget the coupon on the menu!

When it comes to deep dish pizza in the Chicago suburbs the best place to get it is by far Piero's. For guests that come in town even have the chance to get half baked pizza to take home. Only downside is that it is strictly to go so you can not take guests or clients there who are in from out of town to sit down and eat their delicious pizza.

Hands down the BEST deep dish pizza I've ever had!  If you are looking for homemade, authentic, deep dish pizza where you can taste the chef's love of cooking... then look no further!  You would never think anything of this hole in the wall pizzeria.  It's located in a teeny tiny strip mall next to a running/fitness store.  When you go inside, the waiting area is maybe 200 square feet?  And the owner is honestly this grumpy old man.

But then you take a bite of your pizza and you realize, that is the first time you've really tasted good pizza.  I love Piero's for so many reasons, but mainly because the ingredients are fresh, the tomato sauce has a hint of sweetness to it, and the deep-dish crust isn't soggy.  A family I used to babysit for introduced me to this place when I lived in Evanston.  Whenever I go to Chicago to visit, I always make the trip up to Wilmette and get a slice.  You should too!

Not sure what all the fuss is about. I've tried this place several times...yes I give places chances...and this place is just average at best. i've tried the Piero's special thin crust which is sausage, cheese, green peppers and onions and this pizza is just dry. it needs something...hmmm...how bout FLAVOR!
Too bad because i like to patronize local joints instead of chains like Dominos or Papa whatever. Tony Romas is way better.

Piero's Pizza is truly a hidden gem that you won't ever hear about unless you live in the Northshore of Chicago. Even then, it's very possible that you never heard of it. There are many other great places for pizza in Chicago but this one truly offers something unique and doesn't belong to a restaurant chain with gimmicks. Hands down, this is the place to go to for the best stuffed pizza. Note my words, we're not talking deep dish here - it's stuffed. Stuffed pizza trumps deep dish since it has a second layer of dough on top before it's finished with sauce.

This is an Italian family owned business that's been around for over 15 years. Located in Wilmette, it's a tiny restaurant in a small strip mall but it is definitely the best unacclaimed restaurant for stuffed pizza in Chicago. After taking one bite, you will taste the difference immediately. To start, the marina sauce has a deep zesty flavor as if it has been cooking for several hours. You can definitely taste the spices in the sauce which I really appreciate. The other notable difference is the cheese that is used. There is a unique texture to the cheese that I haven't experienced anywhere else. The cheese is velvety and melts in your mouth. For the ingredients, I always keep it simple and just add spinach. No frozen or canned spinach used here - only fresh baby spinach that you can really taste. If you don't like as much cheese, you can order the pan pizza and it's equally as good since the ingredients are the same.

The stuffed pizza will take 45 minutes but it is a work of art that is well worth the wait. My suggestion is to call while you are on the way and plan to arrive earlier than expected. You want to make sure that you are there before the pizza comes out of the oven. It is the type of pizza that you want to eat the moment that it comes out of the oven. Even though most of their business is take out, I'll start with a slice once I pick it up right there and then. Although there are only four small tables, I just can't help myself from digging into the pizza while it's hot and gooey.

Piero's is so good that I can't help but order nothing but pizza when I'm there. I'm tempted to try the other items on the menu but the pizza is too hard to pass up.

Reading the box, my nephew proclaimed "they certainly live up to their name!" ("Delicious Italian Pizza" :-)

High praise from a pizzaholic native New Yorker.

if your order gets messed up, don't expect compensation, owner refused to speak to us regarding consistent problems with service and quality. Seek elsewhere for your pizza.

Very good pizza! I luv their thin crust w/ Pepperoni, Sausage and Onions. Their onions taste different then other pizza places onions. Piero's has fresh ingrediants! Love this place. They have $2 coupons. Saves a little money for a good za! Yummy antipasto salad! Very good. Reasonable prices!

Best Za I have found in Chicagoland. (lived in Michigan until Jan 2011).

I actually have not tried the stuffed pizza so Chicagoans may get mad at me but the thin crust is honestly tied for number 1 with a local spot in my hometown but they are different and both great.

Favorite order is a large Bacon, Sausage, Jalapeño thin crust.  Lasts me four meals and I am a big guy (6'4'').

Coupons available on their website.  Not the fastest pizza place but quality made always with great ingredients.  Best bacon i have ever had on a pizza and love how the sausage is small crumbles and spicy jalapeños.

    Carry out or delivery.

While the place may not be much to look at, and the owner/manager is generally grumpy, this is probably the best pizza I've ever had in my entire life. Love it so much it's one of the only phone numbers I still actually remember.

My recommendation: go simple. Get a thin crust cheese, maybe with some pineapple. Their deep dish is great, but the thin crust is perfect.

    (And order to go.)

Ordered a medium veggie pizza to go and it was delicious! I love how the pizzas are authentic compared to many other pizza restaurants. The wait time was not too bad.

The only thing I didn't like is that they don't take credit/debit cards.

To me, this is right up there with Viccino's. This was actually my first deep dish experience. I won't lie, it got a little crazy that night! I could eat an entire pizza there. The sauce...wow! The cheese quality is out of this world too!

    I highly recommend it!

When I looked at the Yelp profile and saw the question "what would be your last meal", I seriously considered Piero's pizza.  We have a bit of an argument in the house...I adore the thin crust, my oldest loves the deep dish...so we get both and enjoy the leftovers.

Incredible sauce, great crust, generous toppings.  Really meant to be a take out place...don't eat in.

    A slice of heaven!

Piero's is another place that I grew up eating.  I love this place because they have great stuffed pizza!  I never ate here until my friend told me about this place in high school.

I love their stuffed spinach pizza......... seriously melts in your mouth.  There are other places that have good stuffed in Chicago but Iike Piero's the best.  The amount of spinach is good and the the overall pizza tastes great!

The italian beef is also very good here, to my surprise.  The beef is always juicy and has great flavor.  Sometimes the bread gets soggy because the meat has so much juice but it's usually never a problem.

    Great pizza!
