Our very large (20+) group of friends has been coming here for about a year now after our soccer games or just to watch football.   I absolutely love this place.  Besides the fact that it is about a mile from my house, the food is great, the beer is cheap, and they have every possible game or sport (okay, minus rugby :( ) you could ask for.  And you can ask for it if you don't see it.

The staff have come to recognize us whether we are in our jerseys or not.  They are usually very attentive even in big crowds.

Sundays during football season gets a little crowded, but that's what you would expect of a sports bar.  The crowd ranges but I have mostly seen between 25-35 age group range.  Though one time my husband and I went for dinner on a week night and there was a family with small children eating, so I think they're pretty open anyone.  They do card at the door, though, after a certain time - not sure what time.

The food is excellent, as I mentioned.  I love the Sante Fe chicken sandwich!  Their homemade chips are delicious, and my friends highly recommend the smoked wings! (I'm not a huge fan of wings, but they smell amazing).

This is definitely one of those places I go to, and will continue to go to, on a regular basis, and it hasn't failed me yet!

Interesting place.  We went on a Saturday night, and they were playing heavy metal music for a large group of dudes.  Good service, decent prices, but I certainly wouldn't come with a group of girls.  This is a guy's sports bar, and definitely go with guys.

Seems to be a bit more empty now-a-days.  You get less for the money than you used to.  Food seems to be pretty good, maybe not quite as good as when I wrote my last review.  Still a decent place to go, just not one of my favorites anymore.

I was excited to try this place after moving into an apt. within walking distance.  Very disappointed.  Don't come here if you are looking for a microbrew.  They have none.  Food is OK. Nothing special. Waitstaff are pushy and rude - try to rush you out, give you attitude if you request anything.  Only thing going for this place are the TVs if you want to watch a game. There are much better places nearby.

A little pricey, a little fragrant on occasion.
BUT the food has never been a let down.  I like the Fatty Melt, which is literally two grilled cheese sandwiches with a burger and some onions smashed in between.
    YES!  SO GOOD!
The have a good beer selection, good drinks, and the bartenders have a good memory for repeat customers.  I recommend going in at a slow time to ingratiate yourself if you want good service; it unfortunately does have a major bearing on you experience.  But again, the food is great.  I certainly recommend Pifler's.

Happened upon this bar on a trip down Colfax back from Golden.  I wish I would have saved my money.  It was a Sunday @ 3:00 and I just wanted to watch a game have a beer and talk amongst my friends.  Instead I was berated by multiple waitresses to finish my drinks, order more and why am I not taking any shots.  For god sakes it's Sunday lady...Beat it.  The place felt cold and not very comfortable to watch a game.  They do have a pretty decent patio that may be nice during the summer, however, I won't be the one enjoying it.

If your going to be a divey Colfax bar in Lakewood, lower your prices (6.50 Tuaca bombs...you gotta be kidding me) and act like the bar you are.

i was a customer here for four years....man has this place gone down hill .. if you look at most the reviews they are from people who have been here once, twice, and all they see is the goods... lets talk about the bads.. dave the bartender will have a fit and talk trash if your tip is not big enough...no matter how bad the services..there is no ufc.. no ladies nite.. no real reason to come here..they treat you like they are doing you a favor by pouring a beer .... when your paying them!!! i've bought almost everyone on front of house staff a drink and the only one to return the favor was mindy..my checks average around 100$ every time ive been there and have never got a thing for free...danette really ran this place down .. good thing there is a bar on every corner just like it with a better staff..

Buddy and I went here for lunch on a Friday when I was getting some work done on my bike down at Bitchn Stitchn. I had a hamburger, and it was really good. Paid extra and got the fries, they too were good. A little pricey, but I think it was worth it. Really good burger.

Service was... ammmm... well... let's just say I don't think there is an IQ test to work here. Sadly the over all quality of the wait staff wasn't very good. But the beer and burger was good. Would go back if I'm in the area.

The Nine Iron Nachos have really gone downhill, they used to be huge and flavorful, and served on a pizza tin...now they taste canned and barely fill a small plate, and don't appear to come with meat anymore.

The beer selection has dropped off. There's still a couple choices, but not like it used to be with the Colorado Homegrown night...

I think they need to turn it up again and try to impress me like they used to.

Great place on West Colfax.  Pretty good food, the staff is wonderful, and the drinks are pretty good.  Bathrooms smell, and getting served on a busy night is often a hassle, but for an after-work place on the weekdays, their specials are good, and a nice, relaxing place to chill, drink, and watch a game.

Friendly staff.  Food is made fresh to order - if you are in a hurry, go to McDonalds or Applebees.  The "hot" green chile is amazing if you are brave!  Burgers and wings compete with the best in Denver.  Lots of trivia geeks during the day - Pifler often rates first in the national scores.  And the best bartender on the westside - Danette.

Nice big sports bar.  Danette and Jared are quick behind the bar and the food is top notch!

This is a great place to have lunch!  The waitstaff is really, really nice and food here (burgers, mexican, wings, etc.) is made from scratch and is really good too.  The food never comes out oversalted, and I'm a huge fan of their chopped  salad as well.  I miss the old menu as it had a lot of healthier choices (like hummus) but still end up coming here for the good portions and the great tasting food.  My husband loves their green chili (although it's too hot for me).  This is a great Lakewood bar and grill!  Be prepared to wait a little bit for your food.  As they are a scratch kitchen, it's not like their have your wings precooked.  It will take about 15 minutes (at least) for your food to come out.  I eat here about once a week, and really like it!

Great place to go to watch games. I am a big fan of their wings. They flavors are wonderful! Coconut Thai & Boulder Gold being my favorites. Place gets pretty busy on game days. I see that they have live music on wknds but haven't made it for that yet.

This place looks like a Red Lobster that got turned into a sports bar. The service is the same, fake smiles and "everything" is good on the menu. I was a server, so when get that response, I ordered something that isn't on the menu, the waitress didn't notice til she came back. DUH. The food is so full of salt it burned my tongue, I am guessing it was ALL frozen. The keg beer was bad and old and tasted like it was. Everyone else complained and when we called for a manager, he was pissed off. They should change the name to Pilfered.

This place used to be great, cheap wings and good food. They just keep easing up their prices, first they started charging for wings by the pound? As if chicken is that expensive. Now they are sold to some local company that is snapping up a bunch of local bars and have already changed up the menu. On the bright side there is now beer pong just like in college.

I didn't eat here, but the people I went with did and said it was really good. I only had a bud light here, so I think everyone knows the quality on that. I sat at the bar so I'm not sure about the wait staff, but the bartender was friendly and cute. The crowd here was all over the place and I witnessed one of the best blind date matchups ever put together. This review seems useless, damn.

    Oh man,
So I went here with some friends after having dinner at another restaurant. Our intention was some good drinks and atmosphere.
Being a Friday night, it was mildly full. Again, I am a fan of full places, not empty ones. They had some bucket deals, but me and my bud were interested in some good IPAs, so we got two different ones on tap in pitchers. With IPA's we couldn't go wrong. The first server was a sassy girl that was totally ready to get off shift. Bummer for us, she did humor us with telling us the list of drafts one and half times. And my buddy and her had a convo about her supposed girls football tournament the next day.
We sat near the middle of the room and were serenaded halfway threw our visit with blaring sounds from a one man band guitarist. He was pretty talented and had a voice like Eddie Vedder, though at this point our screaming at one another was barely audible.
This is the part that gives this place a one star. We waited 45 minutes, yes, forty five minutes for our new server to pick up the check and our cards to pay for the bill. We tried numerous things just short of signaling a plane for landing to get her attention. Finally she came by and said she didn't think we were ready to leave. Oh man did this push us over. I feel bad for the first server as her tip was hugely diminished by this second lady.
    Not coming back.

Great place to be when the game is on. The place is usually packed to the gills. There's a comfy couch area way in back with a large flat screen TV so you can basically be at home but with one hundred or so of your friends that you never knew existed. Their PB Max (I think that's what it was called) burger was the best peanut butter burger I've ever had. Everything tasted fresh. Don't bother with their homemade chips though. Too thick and crunchy and they're covered with some sort of funky seasoning.

This is a B.U.F.F. Brothers bar which means its related to several other sports bars around town including the College Inn.  My boyfriend is in love with their chicken wings, but they give me a queasy feeling because some of them still have feather nubs on them.  I like a restaurant that has kitchen staff that would notice something like that and fix it before they served it to a customer.  I ate their chilies rellenos rather than the wings.  They had a nice spiciness and were the crispiest I've ever had.  The green chili was good and they served the plate with a massive quantity of refried beans.  The atmosphere of the bar is similar to just about any other big name sports bar.

Perhaps the best sports bar in Lakewood.  This place is always packed, no matter what the event.  Just about everything is good here, but I especially love the queso dip (which is made fresh each day--so it's a bit different each time).  Definitely a place to hang out with some friends for the game or a quick bite to eat.  There are a zillion TVs so you can always watch what you want.
