The location cannot be beat. Â It is a perfect place to get a quick bite and a drink before the movies. Â The food is OK, not the greatest but not the worst either. Â I did return one meal (hummus appetizer) and although I felt bad about it, the salt was way too much. Â The wait staff was pleasant about the situation and offered another meal off the menu. Â I would and continue to go back to the establishment. Â It has become a routine, Pints and then movies.
Review Source:We've been here on SEVERAL occassions, and it just keeps getting worse and worse. We've always been happy with the food, accept for the pizza, but after that experiment we learned to stick with the sandwiches or wraps, but the service, it's ridiculously laughable. Service on the weekdays ARE better than weekends. Â Sooo, if you must...go after the movie or you might not make it to the movie on time, be prepared to be flexible with what you order because you may not get what you requested, don't order the pizza.
Review Source:My wife and I took our daughter in for a drink and dinner on her 21st. Â When the young gal at the bar finally deigned to take our order, she very rudely told us they could not accept my daughter's paper licence and we had to "get out of here right now!" Â We went across the parking lot to Red Robin where they were very polite and had no problem with the paper licence. Â From reading the other reviews, undoubtedly the food was better at RR as well. Â I would neither return to Pints and Quarts nor recommend it to anyone.
Review Source:It was an ok place. Â Came here for trivia night and enjoyed a couple of local beers while playing the game. Â Both the food and beer specials were a good price. Â The atmosphere was just ok - not the liveliest or youngest of crowds, and not much in the way of music, but it was fun to hang out and compete against other teams nonetheless. Â I do like the location of the bar being near downtown Olympia so it's pretty easy to get to from my home. Â I may come back again if the trivia organizers decide on an easier theme!
Review Source:Pint and Quarts, with a name like that, it doesn't sound like you can really go wrong! Â We shot over to the mall so my wife could find a dress for the wedding we were about to attend. Â When approaching the front of the mall, this place stands out, and on a sunny Friday afternoon, roughly 12pm...BEER always sounds fantastic.
I liked the inside of this place, it had a cool decor, but for whatever reason, no happy hour on Friday. Â Hmmm, not cool, but I will live. Â A few bucks wont ruin my day. Â What stood out the most was the HUUUGE selection of beers on tap. Â My favorite part? They rocked Deschutes AND Ninkasi brews. Â Even their pint glasses were Ninkasi! Â I loved being in there rocking my duck gear drinking a Total Domination out of a Ninkasi glass. Â As others were drinking bud, and bud light, I was half insulted at the fact they kept passing up the fine Oregon brews. Â Novices...
The bartender was good and attentive, when glasses went dry, another was on the way. Â Not to mention he was all about handing out tasters. Â I like that, not only will it help drive business, it will help others branch away from the "Undisputed King of Beers" and find out what a real brew is!
I wouldn't suggest this as a place to go party, but it's certainly handy to have when you're at the mall and you are waiting for the wife to finish shopping, or waiting for someone to show up. Â I would normally give this place 3 stars, but the 4th comes from the Oregon brews on tap.
Unfortunately the cheap food and convent location keep my girlfriends and I coming back to this bar. Their happy-hour is the best deal around, every food menu item i have ordered has been totally up to standard. On the other hand, the female waitresses and bartenders have the worst attitudes out of any establishment in Olympia. I understand that everyone has good days and bad days, yet I doubt it's a coincidence that every time we go there the ladies are outright mean. I am always a bit hesitant to send drinks back, however somehow this incompetent  bartender destroyed my Gin & Tonic. When i politely asked for a redo, she had the nerve to come around the bar and tell me I clearly didn't know what a G&T tastes like! RUDE!!
Review Source:Pretty good happy hour deals. Wait staff is awesome. Drinks are pricey and entrees as well.. I wouldn't eat here unless it was happy hour because the quality of food really isn't worth the money. And it's a real bummer that the crowd usually consists of a bunch of D-Bags if you know what I mean...
Review Source:Pretty waitresses, "snobby" attitudes.. to say the least. Been treated like a lower class citizen every time. That is my biggest gripe. Rude staff. Aesthetically pleasing place though. Terrible atmosphere. Unless you're a bro dbag or stuck up. Went there on Bingo night, omg the DJ looks like Criss Angel's wanna be, so tacky. But they were giving away a snowboard. Every person I talk to about this place hates it. I just wanna get drunk and have nice staff. That so hard?
Review Source:Friendly but slow service and food isn't fabulous. Â My club sandwich tasted great but the sourdough was way over toasted- scraped the roof of my mouth when I ate it. Â My husband like his French Dip though. Â
My husbands been there during happy hour and enjoyed it. Â Good list of beers.
I used to look forward to grabbing a beer and an appetizer before heading to the movies in the mall, but not any more. Over the last year, my experiences at Pints and Quarts have varied from mediocre to downright disappointing. The last time we were there, the waitstaff was running around frantically, which might've made sense if the place was packed, but it wasn't even close. It took forever for our food to arrive, and when it did, it was stone cold. Before scurrying off, the waitress mumbled something about the kitchen staff, blah, blah, blah. Come on! I'd believe you if the food was hot and wrong, but cold and as-ordered? Blaming the kitchen is just weak. Bad service.
Review Source:I've been here a couple of times before -- it's so so. An older crowd and mall refugees in the daytime, a younger crowd at night. I had a Jones for a burger and a beer, so I thought I would stop by here on the way home. Upside: good beer selection and nicer decor than some of the grimy taverns around town. Downside: mediocre food, same for the service, and it's attached to a mall. I sat at the bar and ordered a pint of Bass and a menu. The bartender had an attitude that belonged in a dive bar where you don't expect tips: grunts and scowls all around. I watched an exchange between a waiter reciting a list of things that he had done to help the bartender leave faster when the bartender's shift ended. The waiter was obviously just looking for some appreciation. The bartender pretty much ignored him. He needs to go to the Sam "Mayday" Malone school of bar tending and lose the attitude. Anyway, I ordered a bacon and blue cheese burger, and I couldn't taste the bacon or the cheese. I could taste a bitter burned flavor. And the burgers only come in half pound sizes. C'mon, put a quarter pounder on the menu. I'd only come here again for a quick beer before a movie.
Review Source:This is overall a good place to eat. We eat here usually once or twice a month. The food is usually good but could be a little better. The claim to fame is their beer selection and location in the Capital Mall. The atmosphere is good - better on the bar than in the restaurant where we usually sit with our two-year-old. There are times we've eaten here with excellent food and times when it was just ok. Safe bet most of the time.
Review Source:Below someone wrote that this place has a TGIF's vibe to it. That it exactly what popped in my head the first time I rolled in...it just felt wrong to be drinking at the mall. I decided to shake things up a bit so I put a dime in the jukebox (OK, a couple bucks, actually), but apparently this joint doesn't love rock and roll because my song was cut short. Â Oh well. Â I will say this place is decent for lunch, lots of tasty selections, and the gals working there during the day were great. Â
If you are from the South, stay away from the iced tea.
I really enjoy this place and when we lived in Olympia, my boyfriend and I would go there quite often. It's in the mall, and right next to the theaters which is nice especially if you are hungry right before or after a movie.
The service is fantastic and we have never had a bad experience. One of my favorite things about this place is the games, they have cards and other games you can play to pass the time or to just have fun! We always played cards and always enjoyed our food. My favorite is their Caesar Salad and their Mini (corn) Dogs. Their Wings are great and VERY hott when you "kick them up a notch".
Overall it's a great atmosphere and the bartenders are very nice as well. I just wish there was one up here in Seattle!
Pretty much a meat market.
Usually some really annoying music being played by the DJ (although the was some nice Old School Hip Hop being played Friday). This place has been hit and miss with me for the past year and a half, but I think I'm done with it.
The food can be good during the day and crappy at night. It's nice to be able to grab a Guinness there but definitely not worth it.
Ohh a special thing the other night was the smell of smoke wafting through the parking lot.
As the old saying goes...it is what it is.
The Pints and Quarts in Lacey is cool, but the one in Olympia sucks! Â I don't know if they've got some kind of clique working in there but three of my friends have been cut off by the bartender there on three different occasions when they were not even CLOSE to being intoxicated. Â This is in addition to so-so service anyway, but not the waitress' fault it appears bartender has big chip on their shoulder or maybe got in trouble recently for serving someone who was already drunk. Â Regardless, we have all sworn never to give them our business again.
Review Source:Had lunch here today and was not impressed, my friend and I both got the $5 Fish N Chip special, it took forever to get our food and when we finally got it, it was cold and the fish was questionable, we werent sure if it was really fish or not - so we ate our fries.. I would recommend NOT getting the $5 fish n chip special.
Review Source:I sorta liked this place ok at first. It had that whole chain/TGI Friday's, pub feel. I thought the Bloody Mary bar on Sundays was a nice touch. They give you the Vodka, then you make the rest. You can make a pretty snazzy drink if you do it right. Ok one problem with this place is its in the mall, so you get what you get right? Well I've had 3 different sandwiches now, and they are just made with no love at all. The sandwiches/burgers don't completely suck, but they just ain't tasty either. It doesn't meet gastro pub standards for me. My guess is because they are in the mall they think they'll get the business either way. At least give me a goddamn pickle with my sandwich! The other thing that bothers me is going in there on a given day, and having 6 different big screens playing 6 diferent sports events, and everyone just staring at the screens, geez at least play some music on low for the rest of us that don't give a crap about golf, and Nascar. Avoid this place at all cost on the weekend nights. Actually avoid this place at all cost unless you are trapped at the mall waiting on your spouse or something, then its probably the best place to go. You can go out on the patio and have a cigarette with your cocktail though, thats a plus. No love for me on this one. This place should be called "The Last Resort."
Review Source:Knocking it down because of the below average service received at the latest visit - the burger I had was completely cold, as in it had been sitting for 20 minutes at least before serving. Â One in our order had been made incorrectly, and rather than serve the cooked food, it sat back in the kitchen for a long time. Â So at the very least, inconsistent.
Review Source:I'm not impressed with this place. Â The food selection is average but pricey. Â The service is spotty and fairly rude. Â
When we came here to watch the Sounders match we kind of hovered in the doorway waiting for a hostess since there was no sign indicating we could seat ourselves. Â A tiny little girl finally walked by and told us to do so and seemed clueless when we asked if they would have the match on. Â We sat at the bar and were greeted by a less than friendly bartender who was itching to be off work.
I got a Chicken Bacon Caesar Wrap (Queen Wrap or something like that). Â It was okay, but overpriced. Â I got it with a side of mac and cheese which was pretty generic but overly garlicky. Â
They didn't have the match on and pretty every employee was clueless as to which channel it was on and how to make the TV work. Â There were several of us irritated Sounder fans there all ready to watch the game. My husband finally had to go up and tell them what channel to put it on and how to get there. Â Go figure, we don't even have TV!
I probably won't go back unless it's our last resort. Â I would rather have better food at a better price with more accommodating service.
I have tried a lot of food items here. peppi bread(not good), tater tots(overcooked), Â Mini cheeseburgers(tasted like plastic), $5 steak( i know it is only $5 but holy crap that was the worst steak ever! My jaw actually hurts from chewing it for so long, I had to mix A-1, bbq and ranch to get through it.) Garlic Mashed potatoes and gravy(no garlic in taste, beef gravy is overwhelming) Artichoke dip(yuck!) The only item i have been able to tolerate there is chicken strips which they buy frozen...They should stick to booze not food. They are not great at mixed drinks though unless it is one of their specials. They can't make mojitos well or even a long island.
Review Source:For the mall, this is a great option. Food is pretty good and they have tons of variety for sides. The mac and cheese was good the first time I had it and less so the second time. Their happy hour nachos are yummy and gigantic! For those who like fried cheese, you can't go wrong with the mozzarella sticks. For lunch, the quesadillas are really good. The wraps are a tasty "healthy" alternative as well. Their burgers look good, but go hungry since they are huge! Or share with someone.
Ok, so I go here a lot. Â I work near the mall. Â Leave me alone.
Way more fun than the Lacey location - friendlier service, better looking patrons, upbeat vibe. Â Huge place, always abuzz - but still service is quick. Â I'm not a mall person, but this is a good place to kill a little time until your movie starts. Â There's a bar section and a dining section where families can eat. Â Better choice than any other mall food offerings.
