WAAAAAAAAYYY OVER PRICED! I ordered a plain  medium cheese thin crust pizza and a pasta for delivery... total = $42.00. I couldn't believe it, so I asked again what the total was... the person who took my order said, "well you added chicken to a $15 pasta so it makes it $19." Ummm... $19 for a small size of noodles, broccoli, and chicken? This has to be a mistake. So when I finally received my food, I check to see the receipt in the bag and of course they didn't give me my receipt with my order. The pizza was gross and the pasta definitely not worth $19. I WILL NEVER ORDER from here again!!! Ridiculous!
Review Source:The garbage they're slinging out of this kitchen is awful; period. It's really sad that only Jamie L. has the common sense to see this fact. It speaks volumes of what I've become accustomed to in Chicago and is a very sad commentary on the food culture (or lack thereof) here. Now, before you get all defensive about your hometown here, let's be honest. I've dined in almost every major city in this country and many in Europe; I'm not hard to please and yet I am continuously let down with both quick service and dine-in food in this city, and especially the overall assessment.
Anyway, we got a large cheese pizza with sausage, gr.pepper, and onion and a "Chef" Charles' Italian Sandwich... $42!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, you are reading that correctly.
Now I don't mind about the wait; delivery services get busy on Sundays, so who cares that we waited a little over an hour. Not me so this is not what has irked me. The food was, however, extremely bland. For starters, the dough DOES taste like cardboard; it's probably frozen. The cheese, tasteless and rubbery; I don't even want to know where it comes from. The sauce, high in sodium and one dimensional. The sausage was okay. The sub? Probably the worst I've ever had. These ingredients are cheap and disgusting.
What is with these glowing reviews??????? Have you people not experienced the outside world?
Shame on you, Pizano's. You're an embarrassment to Italian, albeit subs and pizza. Rather than pay trolls or Yelp to have my post removed how about you contact me directly and we can figure out how you need to improve the quality of your business? Free of charge.
Our first meal on a weekend trip to Chicago and it didn't disappoint. We sat at the bar, and they were very accomodating and turned on our game of choice (even though it wasn't a Chicago area team). The bartender/waitress didn't seem overly excited to be there, but she was pleasant enough.
We started with bruchetta which was great. Tomatoes were fresh, bread was toasted just right and the garlic was there but not overpowering. Then we devoured a deep dish pizza with sausage, pepers, onions and mushrooms. I loved the buttery crust and the fresh sauce. Hit the spot.
I've heard awful things about this location. Â I've ordered pizza from this location SEVERAL times and the quality has always been top notch (note: Â all delivery orders). Â Although the people answering the phones are a bit brain-dead, the orders always come perfect.
I love the medium crust at Pizao's - it's a good break from the relentless Lou Malnati's deep dish. Â Order here with confidence.
There are literally no words for how bad the pizza was here. Â Even drunk, I could barely stomach a piece. Â The crust is literally like cardboard. The cheese is like a sheet of rubber stretched across aformentioned cardboard. There is absolutely no flavor profile. Â It's the most bland and unappealing pizza I've ever had the displeasure of tasting.
I live right near this place and have always wondered why it's so empty. No I know, and knowing is half the battle.
