My most recent dining experience at this location of Purple was kind of like taking a luke warm bath, better than a cold one but definitely not as good as a hot one!

My dining companion and I went in about two hours before closing and the first thing we noticed was the bar tender giving us a weary eye.  Later, after he gave the eye to another couple who came in after us, we realized what it was all about.  He was doing closing duties early was probably hoping no customers came to sit at the bar. I find this rather rude and distasteful, especially since we came in a good 2 hours before closing and not at last minute.

After we grabbed two seats at the bar, he casually flung two menus at us and huffed away to get us water. Through the entire meal, he didn't smile once and looked like he'd rather be getting his teeth pulled then be there.

And then it got better (sarcasm). I chose a bottle of wine from the menu and was told 5 minutes later that they were out.  Ok, could he recommend a similar tasting one at a similar price point, I inquire.  Instead, I got was a "die immediately you horrible customer"  stare.  FAIL.

Food was somewhat of a highlight on this trip.  My chopped salad was great but I knew what I was getting since I've had this both here and at other Purple locations. My companions wild boar rotelli was incredibly bland, which is surprising as the flavor is usually amazing in their pasta dishes.

Over all, I'd visit the Woodinville and Bellevue locations before enduring the Kirkland one again.

Very good meal. We had the 3 choice meal #2 and it was very good except the chopped salad. More like crazy shredded coleslaw gone bad. Scallop linguini was outstanding as was the cheesecake (though small). 1/2 price wine on Mondays was also a very nice surprise. No hard liquor? Really no hard liquor? Still a nice evening spent in a great place with great friends. Will go again.

Went here for a quick happy hour/early dinner with a friend on a lazy Sunday.

Had a glass of the house white (which was perfect while sitting outside with the sun beaming) and we proceeded to order a couple of happy our menu items to share.

Bacon wrapped figs with goat cheese- I was hoping for a warm/hot dish so was a little surprised at how cold they were. Still pretty darn tasty though.

Baked brie with caramelized onion and pear- one of my favorite dishes here. How can you go wrong with gooey cheese, sweet fruit and onions, all on top of a cracker with a grape on top...yum!

Chop chop salad-what a great tasty and healthy salad. The salad itself wasn't on the happy hour menu but if you get a half order, which is definitely enough for one person, it makes for a very reasonable price.

Would recommend this place for happy hour!
