HORRIBLE, GROSS, NEW MANAGEMENT FAIL!!!! Agreeing with all the recent reviews, I'm extremely disappointed in the direction of the new management here. I've been going here for almost 3 years now & they've always had great portions & delicious food. All has changed, for the worse :( The portion sizing is small, all the food is covered in disgusting "goop", and it tastes HORRIBLE!!! MSG or no MSG, this food is disgusting. So sad to see such a great little restaurant go downhill so fast. I even got double charged on an item! (Luckily they refunded it)

Next time I head into their bar (which serves good drinks!) I'm going to address the food issue with the new manager. The menu has shrunk considerably & like I said earlier...the food was extremely sub par for how expensive it is. I have to agree that the end-of-day Safeway Chinese food is MUCH better than this new crap.

PLEASE go back to the old food & cooks.

My family has been ordering take-out from Asian Wok for over 4 years. It has always been consistently well above average food.   Tonight, I picked up my Shrimp Fried Rice and Sweet & Sour Chicken order.  The chicken was extremely overcooked and the rice was bland, and missing egg.

Horrible change at this restaurant.  I will never enter their doors again.

Don't waste your money or dining experience here.  Might as well drive straight to Safeway Chinese, just before closing. Eeeewww.

This Chinese restaurant has always been one of our favorites. Great menu, consistent food, everything a good Chinese restaurant should have. We went tonight and were disappointed to find out it was under new management, but decided to give it a try and keep an open mind. The menu has changed and is very small, (almost like a bar menu) We started with the vegetable egg roll, it was ok. Than we had beef with broccoli, and kung po chicken, and chicken friend rice. Still keeping an open mind after the the ok egg roll, we received our food. The kung po chicken was not like it is in other restaurants, it has huge pieces of chicken with all kinds of big chunks of veg. and very few peanuts. The taste was not good, it was not what you would expect it to be. It was almost inedible. The beef with broccoli had a funky sauce, and did not taste like it was suppose to or what we expected.

The owner came over at the end and asked for constructive criticism and when we told her we didn't care for the food, she said it was because it did not have msg. I have been to plenty of  Chinese rest. and asked to keep out the msg and it was still good. We also did not want to take the leftovers and she did not seem to care that we really did not like the food. She did not offer to take anything off the bill or apologize for us not enjoying it. Another family came in, sat down, looked at the menu and then left. I owned a business for years and always wanted my customer to come back and took good care of them. Even offering a credit for the next time would have been a nice touch, not sure I would have used it to be honest, but it would have been good customer service.

The owner was also the bartender, which is fine, but it seemed that the bar was more important than the food. I guess she has been the bartender for 8 years there.

Unfortunately, we will not being going back, unless she expands the menu, gets a new chef who knows how to make good Chinese food, and I see the reviews get better. It is not cheap, so I would not waste my money there again, at least not in the very near future.

If the owner reads this, I hope she listens and try hard to improve it, because Chinese food is one of our favorites and it is a great location for us.
