I have to withhold one star for the venue. Eastside Stomp is an attractive space, but the clattering of feet from the separate studio (Irish step dance class, maybe?) made part of my lindy hop class experience a bit distracting.
That said, though, Peter Flahiff is a fantastic instructor. Patient, charming, and engaging. He's pretty much everything you hope for as a novice dance student. And his reputation preceded him... I signed up for classes at Eastside Stomp, despite the fact that I live in West Seattle, on the advice of a friend who called Peter "the best". She was right.
Eastside Stomp holds social dances after the lindy lesson on Friday nights, so you'll get to practice everything you learned in class.
The Eastside is still a pain to navigate, but a warm welcome awaits at the Stomp.
