By far the best experience I've ever had in a hookah bar. It was so much more than just a run of the mill lounge. The atmosphere was what really sold me. Red moon is the epitome of what a "lounge" should be. Chill crowd, yummy food, amazing hookah, and great service is what you'll find here.
I came in on a Thursday night with a pretty large group of friends. The staff was accommodating and so helpful when it came to our food and hookah selection. Believe me my group of friends is not easy to deal with and the entire staff kept a smile on their faces through it all. They all had a great sense of humor and our bartender, Andre, I believe was his name, was so personable and easy going. With a full bar to work with Andre must be one happy guy! When I say full bar I mean FULL BAR! Shots, mixed drinks, beers, you name it they can probably make it.
Our waiter was Andrew (I think). Let me tell you about him! He was so patient and helpful, honestly such a sweetheart. The menu has a pretty decent amount of items and as non-Mediterranean food eating  folk it was a bit confusing and hard for us to decide. He made recommendations and  lucky for us everything was AMAZING! Top quality food, kudos to the people in the kitchen!
Now the hookah: Al Fakher, Fumari and some other one (Starbuzz?) I can't remember were offered. Â
I had Sweet Melon Mint (al fakher flavors) that was recommended by the hookah guy, Aram. It was really good and lasted the whole night. Aram was super attentive and knew his hookah! He made really good recommendations and was really playful and charismatic.
All in all I had an absolute blast. Definitely worth the drive all the way from SGV. Making this my new spot.
I used to come here a lot a couple years back when it was crazy packed. Â The dance floor was always filled and the bar would get pretty busy. Â It was very fun but after a while, the crowd died out. Â Now, its really chill and calm compared to before. Â Every time I go, there is barely anyone there which is a good thing I think. Â Other than that, they know how to pack hookah. Â Their flavors are really good, spiced chai blue mist with mint is the bomb! :)
Review Source:Went to this place with a group of 4 for a little birthday celebration. While the service seemed a little casual, the staff was very helpful. I got a little worried, when they sat us down and seemed to forget about us. 5 minutes later, our server rushed up with some menus and spent 5 minutes helping us pick out hookah flavors. A lot of times, hookah servers will just give you something everyone likes without asking what you feel like (sweet, sour, etc). He also gave suggestions on appetizers and drinks (they have a full bar) without making us feel like we were asking too much of him (which is common for LA servers).
The hookah was awesome, the service was awesome, what more could you want?
Went to Red Moon on a Wednesday night to hang out with a friend I hadn't seen in ages and was blown away by the great hookah, food and service. Â The hookah wasn't the cheapest around, but one lasted us the entire night! Â The food and coffee were delicious, and the service was incredibly attentive without being overbearing. Â The outdoor patio/lounge area was comfy too. Â I'll definitely be returning here for my hookah fix!
Review Source:Love this place. The food is absolutely amazing and the hookah is pretty good as well. The parking situation is very convenient unlike the other Hookah lounges in the area that only offer valet parking. There is a DJ on Fridays and Saturdays... so its definitely a fun place to be Friday and Saturday nights. They are closed Mondays.
Review Source:Soo for my bday I wanted to try a new hookah lounge and for a whole week i was searching for a perfect spot. Out of at hookah lounges there's is this one stood out the most to me , specially after the reviews on here.I kept bragging about how cool this place really seemed . I made a reservation on a Saturday and we got our table and all . I SERIOUSLY thought this place was going to be fun . It ruined my bday and my friends night!!!!!!  service was awful! hookah were horrible! the only good thing was my cocktail... they took over 20 minutes to attend us and there wasn't that much people .we actually timed our waiter & he took a whole hour n 16 min to give us our hookah ..at that time more people started to come . we notice how friendly they were greeting them probably friends and family . it totally must of been family tho Especially since we saw 2 LITTLE GIRLS they looked around 5/6 yrs old!!!!!!! my eyes popped out! who the hell lets little kids in at a HOOKAH lounge seriously!.. then i was thinking i probably came to the wrong place because the reviews on here made it  sound like such a fun place but i checked & yea i was at the right place . we just paid and left we didn't even smoked our hookah because it was shit! and its was over 120 for 2hookah 6waterbottles and 1 cocktail! it suck that i didn't get the same experience as the rest on here. i never write reviews but this place was just so awful and it ruined my bday night!
Review Source:OMG this place is amazing!
First things first, the food is soooo yummyyyy!!! The ckicken and shrimp kabobs are heaven in my mouth! The Lebanese burger is awesome as well!
Second, the place is actually really nice and the staff is super friendly and attentive!
Third, the hookah is super smooth and lasts; Also, the hookah guy makes yummy mixes if you ask him to surprise you with a flavor. Oh and there's a full service bar and the drinks are delicious...Definitely one of my favorite places to hang out :) :)
The owner here is awesome. Very passionate about what he offers. Love the music selection on the Sunday night we went: a beautiful blend of deep house that was perfect for a post-Saturday night wind-down. Hookah is great, they use high quality Coco Nara charcoals so your hookah doesn't get that "ash" taste. Lasted well over 2 hours. We'll be back!
Review Source:You know being Filipino means only eating my kind of food.. Just kidding.. (Hope my mom isn't reading this) Ive been to this lounge probably 3 times and each time has been better than the last. The first time here I was sooo miserable because they didn't have alcohol. I promise I am not a member of AA. Â My mood was down the whole entire time.
I came here with a friend of mine so we could grab a few drinks and smoke some hookah. We ended up stuffing our faces with a bunch of yummy food and smoking a lot and a lot of hookah. Their food is AMAZING. Especially their chicken! The next time we came I was so happy when they told me we have alcohol but unfortunately I had left my ID at home so again I couldn't enjoy any drinks. You know what I really like about this place though? The music isn't too loud like some lounges where you can't even talk to the person next to you. I remember, we once had a little reunion thing with my high school buddies at a hookah lounge in the valley- can't say where :/ and the music was so loud that all we did was eat and awkwardly stare at one another- A-W-K-W-A-R-D by the end of the night all we wanted to do was go home and say nighty night. I hate when the music is too loud but here it's perfect. Oh and the DJ does a real good job at the music. He knows exactly what songs to put after one another- keeps it interesting I like that. He also plays some Armenian music at times which is also cool. I like hearing different types of music from time to time.
Umm what else what else. Oh yea duh! My last time here was phenomenal!!! 5/5 for sure. I brought my ID yay me so I finally had access to the full bar and of course I became best friends with the bartender. His name was Nick. Hi Nick :] haha. He is AWESOME at what he does. The way he mixes drinks make you feel like you're in Vegas. He is seriously great and very friendly. So Nick made me a long island which was really really good and he was precise on the amount of alcohol not little but not so much where you can't drink it. I gorged it all up yummy. Ah Nick, greatest experience ever. It's little things like this that really improve my mood. Then he made me a few house specials from what I remember. Anyways the alcohol was good. Food as usual was amazing. I got cheese friends, chicken salad, and a chicken plate with bbq rice hummus pita bread and so much more. I talked so much about food and alcohol I forgot about my dear friend that was with me. She was also having a blast socializing with our neighbors sitting right next to us. See, everyone here is just so friendly. Nobody stares you down when you walk in and they all treat you with respect. I love it here. We were here from 10pm-around 1:30am and we didn't want to leave. I will definitely return soon.
Also, they have indoor and outdoor seating for all you bad bad cigarette smokers! JK :]
An easy favorite.
The food is AMAZING.
I don't even eat Lebanese food typically but I clear my plate EVERY time I'm here.
Extremely well executed.
The hookah is of great quality and there are a variety of flavors to choose from.
Full bar so you can get any drink you want.
I'd recommend the house specialty drink- the "Red Moon."
The owner is known and respected throughout the community by people of all ages.
He is in the restaurant and available all days and hours he is open which is a level of commitment and customer service I've yet to see anywhere else.
The older crowd typically stays indoors at the dining tables or lounging on the couches.
Younger crowd typically populates the outdoor smoking patio.
Just a heads up if you wanted to be seated within your peer group.
The only person whose ever even written a bad review for this place complained the majority of customer's the night they visited were Armenian, that that had made them uncomfortable and then claimed they themselves "[were] not a rascist."
All I can do is shake my head at that nonsense.
Shame on them.
Would recommend Red Moon to anybody, and have.
This is one of the very few hookah bars with a full bar.
The staff is friendly and attentive.
The hookah is done well and the drink are not bad.
Definitely a good option for a night out.
Keep in mind that they stop serving alcohol at 1... (but this is temporary)
Come give this place a try.
Call in for reservations, they get packed on Friday and Saturday nights.
What a strange dining experience we had here. I'll start with praise--the food is outstanding, lovingly prepared and fresh ( except the grape leaves which were so-so). I had the chicken kabob. Excellent.
So why the middling review? Couple reasons: This is the first time I have EVER seen a restaurant tack on the 15% gratuity to the bill for A PARTY OF FOUR. Are you kidding me? Are you serious?
It was particularly amusing since the service was dreadful and I'm being generous. We arrived at 7 p.m. and were the only people in the entire restaurant for the next 90 minutes (on a Saturday night). The waitress was friendly, but she couldn't be bothered. There was a wait staff of at least five people and they just sat around talking and smoking on the patio.
They were late to bring us our table settings, late to bring the appetizers. Two of us eventually got our food and the other two had to wait 20 minutes for their dishes. We asked for our bill and another 20 minutes later, we were still waiting. We didn't get out of there until nearly 9:30.
I want to be careful here, but we were the only white people in the whole place. As the evening grew late, young Lebanese people started drifting in and took over the place--they seemed to be getting far more attention than we did. I've never been ignored like this in a restaurant before. Oh, and they just left our dirty plates on our table forever.
Very strange. Such wonderful food and such disappointing service. I wouldn't go back because bad service always trumps good food. We were never made to feel welcome. Overall very disappointing and puzzling.
Let me start off by saying I have been to all the hookah lounges in the valley and they are all garbage compared to this gem. My friend recommended it so we gave it a shot and I will be returning back ever opportunity I get. The food is phenomenal. The "two person feast" is big enough to feed an army and absolutely everything in it is perfectly flavorful. The drinks at the full bar are stiff and hit you fast. The hookah is unsurpassed by any other hookah available at any lounge. It hits strong and long without burring. The service makes you feel at home. I guarantee you there is no better place in the valley. The combination of amazing Lebanese dinning, great strong hookah, an friendly atmosphere WILL have you going back. I'd give 6 stars if I could.
Review Source:I love the food here. Seriously, it is ridiculously amazing.
The pizzas are drool worthy. Must try the one with feta and tomatoes.
The wraps are amazing. Chicken shwarma all the way!!
The salads are crips and delicious. The one with lemon and pita crips in it. MMMM.
The hummus, I'm unsure if its made from scratch, but it still tastes good. They give you crunchy pita and soft pita to dip in it, which is awesome.
I haven't had one bad thing at all!
It is now walking distance from my apt. So I think I'm going to be here a lot now.
The hookah is a little expensive, but its a loungie place, so I understand the price.
The wait staff are super nice too.
I've seen celebrities here 2x now as well.
I'm only subtracting one star for some of the crowd. They are a little rude and pretentious.
this place blows big time. Â The only things good about this place are the friendly staff and cool patio. Â Other than that I can't stand this place, everything is over priced, food quality is average at best and the owner makes me feel uncomfortable. Â Not to mention, if girls walk in, the majority armenian crowd (I live in Glendale, I am not being racist, just stating a fact) that frequents here doesn't stop staring and often girls decide to leave even before they sit down. Â It is a very awkward place with management that doesn't seem to know exactly what they are doing, just weird.
