There's more to this restaurant than meets the eye. Located several miles outside of downtown, not only is it a local eatery, but it's a destination restaurant. The restaurant is huge, despite its small visage. The menu is also huge. Everything you could ever wish for in an Italian menu. I went with my family. We had 3 entrees between the four of us and not only was everything delicious, but we couldn't finish it all. The portions are huge! I highly recommend the Zupe de Pesce. You can split the order for one. It's the size of 2 huge portions (which is why it's so expensive). Strongly recommend this restaurant. Nice service as well.
Review Source:LOL, just noticed this reply. Â And I remember it like yesterday. Â
Think your missing the point. Â He didn't tell us it was EXPENSIVE when we ordered it, we found out the price when we got the bill. Â Then we got the snooty, "IT'S EXPENSIVE" when we inquired about the high price.
21.95 for buff motz for an appetizer(?) Â If the norm for that is 8.00 - 14.00 wouldn't you admit it would BE NICE to let your customer know the high price. Â It's obvious what happened he
Want a good, really good, gourmet Italian meal with fair prices and never being ripped off, go to ZIA'S in Edison Park, you'll LOVE IT!
I used to LOVE this place...I would even drag clients from downtown over here because it was a great restaurant, authentic Italian...and that round corner hidey hole booth was awesome!
That was probably ten years ago. Â I still loved this place for many more years, but I hadn't been there lately. Â I'm not sure if they changed owners or what the story is, but we got seated in what looked like a banquet hall...I didn't even know that room existed before that. Â The whole dynamic of the place in the banquet hall thing sucked. Â And we got pretty much ignored as the waitstaff fondled a table of eleven (probably thinking bigger tips). Â The hostess/manager apologized several times (and she did it nicely) as I had to keep coming up and asking her if someone was going to wait our table of two....or ask us if we wanted another drink....or dessert....*sigh*
Agostino, I loved you! Â I miss you! Â But I have to find somewhere else that will actually pay attention to me AND have good food and atmosphere. Â This place used to ROCK. Â I'm sad.
