This RT's has to be the worst in the world. Â Last night, my wife, who is deathly allergic to peanuts and anything cooked in the oil or any involvement with peanuts, started shutting down her throat. Â I had to rush over to Target and get benydril. Â By the time I got it to her, it had progressed, it started to sub-side after about 20min., but, she was in misery all night. Â When I got to Target, I literally exploded in the bathroom. Â A horrible feeling for just a salad and ribs.
This is not the first time this has happened there. Â The health dept. needs to visit there. Â
I can't believe that they sell some kind of garbage called queso dip that is anything but true queso dip with some kind of strange tasting green leaf, no jalepenos, no taste and a watered down mess. Â I am sure that crap comes out of a can, not even a plastic jug. Â
Back to the salad bar. I believe something in the salad bar was tainted. Â That is the only common foods that we ate. Â She could have died. Â I just blew up a commode. Â Either shut that damn place down or clear it of all demons. Â The rest of the food is marginal, at best. Â Is that a local problem or do you fly this crap in and every RT's in the world gets the same garbage.
I personally enjoy this Ruby Tuesdays. Â It has been a long time since I ate at one, but when I moved here I have tried them again. Â Since my first visit to this Ruby Tuesdays, I have been back about 3 times due to the coupons and good food. Â The food is good and service has always been with a smile. Â No issues for us and I enjoy how clean it is.
If you want to give them a try, setup an email account with them online and you will get at least once coupon a month and it is usually well worth it. Â $10 off 2 dinner entrees is what I usually get monthly. Â
I love the salmon and my son loves their ribs more than most franchises.
Save your money.
The service is touch and go. The food is only marginal.
My wife and I got the Mini's and salad bar. The salad bar isn't what it used to be. They had no fruit and very limited toppings. The mini's were over cooked and lacked the fried onion that they used to put on them. Again, a disappointment. The fries on both of our plates were overcooked and hard.
My dad got the vegetable plate. He said he liked that. My mom got the fish taco's. She said she won't get them again. They lacked favor and tasted disgusting.
We won't be back. Save your money.
Just got home from having my second horrible time here not sure what's going on but I did see a new manager. We had gone a few months ago and were waited on by a terrible waitress who acted like she was so superior then us and today she was there again which was kind of a shock one would have thought she was working at a high end restaurant by now considering her attitude, but I digress when I eat here I have the salad bar today the lettuce was in a word gross. So I hunted a staff member down as there were none to be found including mine to change it they did with no issue. Well one issue they changed it with more gross lettuce.
I then noticed my coffee cup had red lipstick on the rim so off I went to find someone anyone to get me a clean cup and to take the salad bar off my ticket. I found them all huddled in a prime corner spot chatting and eating I said I hate to bother you all but would it be at all possible to get a cup of coffee without lipstick and to take the bar off my tab, well if looks could kill I would not be writing this I was met with a fine I'll be there in a second. She came back with the coffee a fled I had to yell behind her could I please have some cream. Back she came with it and the manager. Now this so called manager decided to school me on how they only serve fresh lettuce,
I tried to maintain and said ok if you say so but I don't want it. HE came back again to argue this point of the fresh lettuce I said ok fine but I don't want it. he came back again with a huge plate of perfect lettuce and said here its on the house I can no longer maintain so I said come here and all but dragged him to the salad bar he grabbed the tongs and started flinging the lettuce around to hide the brown stuff only to find more and more ok ok I see what you're talking about what an idiot are you kidding me your actually going to argue with  me over lettuce and not even bother to see if your argument is valid by the way they charged me for the coffee I did not eat the lettuce and will not go back..idiots
My friends and I decided to try the Ruby Tuesday brunch when the IHOP next door was packed. Â These family type restaurants usually fail for me so my expectations were low, but I expected something edible at the least.
My crabacado omelet was delivered in dry, overcooked-egg-brown. Â I really hate to send food back to the kitchen so I sawed through the egg and made my best effort to enjoy it. Â After two wholly unpleasant attempts to swallow the same forkful, I gave up and just ate all of the crabmeat out of the omelet. Â One of my friends ordered the western omelet without cheese. Â When she asked about the mystery sauce coating her omelet, our waitress reassured her there was no cheese in the omelet, only a parmesan sauce.
The server was oblivious to everything and everyone in the restaurant except for the televangelist on the bar TV and the breakfast that she was eating in the far corner of the restaurant. Â She stopped by our table three times: Â once to take our orders, once to deliver the food and once to remove our full plates from the table while dropping off the check.
No one will ever convince me to try this again.
I've always had a soft spot for Ruby Tuesday's. However it had been a while since we had been there. We decided to eat out last Saturday night, and Ruby Tuesday's popped into my head. We arrived at about 6:10. The place was busy, but not so busy that we had to wait. We were seated near the bar. That was fine since there is no smoking in Virginia restaurants anymore.
I ordered the sliders and salad bar. My wife had salmon. The salad bar is always one of my favorites. The fellow was out refreshing items on it, every couple of minutes, (I could see the salad bar from my seat). The sliders were tasty, and my wife said the salmon was good.
The restroom was clean, the staff was server was pretty good. I left a 20% or so tip. A pleasant experience all around.
I know most people are skeptical with reviews about a chain restaurant, but I have to compliment this Ruby Tuesday. Every time I have come in here, I have gotten terrific service, the food has been cooked right, the salad bar was fresh, and they accepted coupons with no problem. For a chain restaurant, this location does everything the way it should be and for that reason, they seem to remain popular with the locals, since it is usually pretty full.
Review Source:Tonight, a friend and I ate dinner here.
I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, which was $7.99, not bad, considering Foster's Grille charges just as much if not more and it's fast food.
I've had the burgers here several times and they're usually pretty good, but nothing special.
That's the way I feel about this entire restaurant... there are so many restaurants just like it that it's not really anything special. Â Service is okay, food is okay, but not one of my first picks when dining out.
After working late today, I decided I was to tired to go home and cook, so I stopped in at the RT's in Gainesville. I've never been to this one before. I've alway's been a big fan of their salad bar.
So I went in and originally was going to sit at the Bar and eat - but it was to smoky. So I opted for a table in the non-smoking section of the Dining Room.
I ordered the Salad Bar and a Burger. I'm a bit disappointed that over the years, Ruby Tuesday has abandoned the dishes that used an incredibly delicious cajun spice. I used to go and buy 2 lb bags of it from them. I looked over the menu hoping something was cajun-like. I found a Fishburger that was supposely coated in a Creole seasoning. I asked to have my burger cooked with that coating.
The salad bar was very good. All of the veggies were very fresh and crispy. Â I had a salad with a bed of mixed greens, spinach, red onion rings, broccoli, grape tomatoes, garbanzo beans, chopped eggs, shredded carrots, zucchini, black olives, crumbled blue cheese, pine nuts, and a low fat vinaigrette.
I ordered the burger medium well. It came with a side of fries. I was disappointed that the burger had no cajun spice-like flavor to it. I am guessing the kitchen did not put the Creole spice on the burger as I requested. The burger itself was cooked perfectly and was tasty, the tomato and lettuce were crisp, and the wheat bun was a perfect compliment. It just wasn't what I was expecting. The fries were nice and crispy.
The service was prompt, courteous, and attentive.
I'd give them 5 stars if my burger had been blackened with a spice I could taste!
