Sally's Waffle Shoppe

I like this restaurant. Very cozy inside. Came on New Year's Day (in evening).

Had the chicken quesadillas - they were delicious. They give you 4 nice slices (I had to take 2 home).  Comes with tomatoes, onions, and lettuce on the side.

Recommended!!

Ok parking can be a pain but lemme tell you the pancakes are so worth it. I cant tell you how many times I drove by Sally's before finally deciding to have breakfast there one day. Shame on me for not going sooner. My daughter had an omlete that was amazing. Hubby had french toast...also deelish! We'll be  back for sure.

The only reason this place is even getting a star is because our waitress was at least nice at first & no stars is not an option.

I went to Sally's a couple days ago with my mom for lunch. I ordered a burger with jalapeno cheese and bacon, she ordered a Julienne Salad. We both got soup with our meals, as well as a bread basket for the table. The bread was the best part of the meal. The soup was cold, not even warm, cold. So we just told our waitress we did not want it and proceeded to wait for our food.

Her salad was fine at first glance, my burger was not. The cheese was not even melted and the meat was cold. So I sent it back to have them melt the cheese & add bacon because it was not there, I was nice & it was a seemingly simple request. It came back 5 minutes later and the cheese was black there was still no bacon, and the second waitress of the day couldn't understand why I didn't want it. Our original waitress then returned to see what the problem was and I looked at my burger, she apologized and asked what I'd like instead. I decided to give them one more chance.

I asked them to please bring me a new burger, with American cheese & bacon. My mother and I waited patiently, she decided to take a break from her "Julienne' salad that had about 4 strips each of turkey ham & the two cheeses. Finally bout 12 minutes later my burger arrived, & I went to take a bite, because it looked like what I'd asked for. What happened next? I felt as though I had taken a bite of charcoal briquettes, and I took the top bun off to find it charred beyond belief. As well as the bottom bun half blackened. I sent the food back and asked for nothing else, just for it to be taken off the bill. The manager begrudgingly took it off. Then I had a bite of my mothers salad, got a nasty stale taste from the turkey & that sealed the deal.

We will NOT be returning. This place is in need of a new owner, new kitchen staff and a less indifferent wait staff.  They could do with a reduction in their menu as well. Don't waste your time or money. You'd be much better off at the Wendy's next door!
