Sal's Deli

Oh Jesus, my review has to follow Eames'? I'll do my best, dudes.

Things I love: BLT's.
Things I am: Vegetarian of over a decade.

My existence is a total joke, but Sal's soothes my troubled soul with their Seitan Lettuce & Tomato (SLT--which we lovingly refer to as "Sluts" in our office). Seriously. They're amazing.

Quick tip (Eames style): SLuT, in and around my mouth plz.

Just tried Sal's for the first time, and I will most definitely be going back.  I am extremely impressed with my meal and I got it on the cheap, which is awesome.  My coworker and we each ordered the "Make Your Own 6" Sub".  You get one meat choice, one cheese, 3 toppings, and a pretty hefty selection of condiments for $5.  They use Boar's Head meat, which I find fantastic.  We also got a side of the potato salad and another side of the caprese pasta salad.  Both were absolutely delicious, and pretty large portions for a $2 menu item.  Our entire bill was $15 between the two of us.  I am full and I am happy, Sal.  Well played.

This place is just always phenomenal, I know they are pretty much packed in house most of the day but the amazing part is that their deliveries never suffer, ever. We have ordered from Sal's over 20 times and every time, everything is the best thing I have ever tasted. If you want to feel ashamed of yourself, the flavors their top quality meats and cheeses offer make the best sandwiches in the city hands down. Their  pasta salad is beyond belief and at risk of sounding like the fattest kid in middle school they offer a brownie which has to be at least half a pound for a really small price which is the softest, most delicious brownie I have had. Great prices, huge portions, top quality ingredients, everything done perfectly, the delivery drivers they have are always awesome as well. I don't think New York City could top this deli (yes I've been to most of them)
