I love this place. The sushi is good.. not the best you will find in the city.. but great if you are in the Lincoln Park/Old Town. More importantly, the Korean food and the owners, a man and his wife, are fantastic!
Go and get some sushi, ask for suggestions on a Korean dish.. I prefer the Bi Bim Bop.. SO good.. and the service is wonderful. They make you feel like you are in their home and they really appreciate the business.
Please, if you have not tried it.. do so next time you are in Lincoln Park, because this place is a hidden gem.
How people are saying this place is "good" is beyond me. Yes, I will agree with everyone that the owners are very nice, but nice people don't equate to good food.
I came in here for lunch and I ordered one of the special rolls for the day which was spicy salmon. When it came out there was much more cucumber than anything else and there was such a funky after taste. I'm going to go ahead and assume that the fish was old. I only had 2 pieces because the flavor kept getting worse. I also ordered the shrimp shumai which was actually pretty decent. My issues with that is there was a lot more noodle around it than shrimp filling. They were also the tiniest shumai I've ever seen.
I would definitely say this place is overpriced for what it is. The fish is definitely NOT fresh. I also despise how every Asian restaurant in Chicago is Asian fusion. A sushi place is not just Japanese, they offer some Korean dishes and Chinese dishes. I mean pick one and perfect it, don't just half ass multiple ethnic dishes.
In the area I'd much rather go to Kyoto on Lincoln or even Shine down the street from this place, but that's only for dinner time.
