Great bar in Hoboken, countless fun times here!

My friends and I have frequented 'the yard' since college. It is a great easygoing place with room to just hang out and enjoy time with friends. The bartenders are friendly, there are games (pong and darts) for those who play, and the music is great.

While you have to get there earlier to get a seat, and it does get crammed at times, it is such a relaxed place most people are all just there to have a great time.

Overall, the epitome of a great dive bar (with plenty of Jameson and Makers for those celebratory occasions)!

Definitely a great retreat from some of the stuffy, loud bars in the area.

Nothing special about this place if you're young and looking to have a fun night out in Hoboken, Drinks are expensive (as is everything in DT hoboken), crowd is rarely anything to be excited about, and its not a place ideal for dancing etc. They also have a $5 bomb special ... but they forget to tell you that the bombs are premixed and small (like 5 oz maybe)

If you're looking for a laid back place to drink a beer, play some beer pong ... sure. Otherwise, keep walking.
