The service here is unreal -- unbelievably chipper staff and attentive service (during brunch service, at least). Â I'm not sure what they put in their water to get them juiced up.
I enjoyed the food and drinks; although we weren't knocked off of our seats. Â
Overall, a good choice for brunch.
My first experience here = nasty server, and even nastier food! I'm shocked some of the other yelpers say friendliest service in town, maybe we got the freshman server of the day. But the food part....was just plain awful. I can't remember a time when I left more than half my plate and couldn't even eat the fries (which are pretty tough to mess up)! And I am not one of those people who always finds something to complain about, rarely will you find me disappointed with a meal or establishment in Hoboken.
My boyfriend and I stopped in here for a drink and early dinner this past Sat. after wine tasting at Court St., and the place was practically empty. Our waitress was rude from the moment she stepped up to take our drink order, and things went downhill. We had questions about the drink selections which she was clueless about, and she acted as if it was a huge inconvenience when we asked her to check on what they DID have since apparently they were out of half the bourbons listed on the menu. When my boyfriend ordered the open faced steak sandwich, which said it came with garlic fries, she asked if he wanted fries with it, and he said "yeah, the garlic fries that come with it." She gave him an annoyed shrug and said, "I guess we can do garlic." Ummm, ok. It came out with 6 skimpy pieces of steak on top of a mountain of fries (that were plain old fries, not garlic...which, were horrible mind you). The bread looked like wonder bread toast, and was hidden under the pile of fries. My chicken wrap was not much better. A busboy had delivered our food and our waitress was no where to be found after the food was dropped off. Â I had to go up to the bar to ask for our check and paid it up at the bar.
I really wanted to like this place, since it's right right around the corner from my apartment, and looks like a great place to have drinks and an app outside when Spring hits. But on the way out my boyfriend and I both said in unison, "we will never go back!"
