Wow, I was not expecting a bar to have good food. This place definitely surprised me and now I'm definitely a fan. We came because one of my friends frequently comes here for the food (yes, food not drinks!)
My friends and I shared Duk Bokki (korean spicy rice cakes) and some Tang Soo Yuk (korean sweet and sour pork). All of us loved the food! It comes in pretty generous portions that 2-3 people could definitely share. The 6 of us killed both dishes.
The waiters were nice to us (but it def helps if you have a number of koreans with you of course)
They're great at getting you lots of beer and soju, which is more reasonably priced than a lot of places on friday/saturday nights.
And they gave my friend a free birthday shot  =)
used to frequent this joint but no more. Â your typical korean ajussi bar although there are young immature kids that come by as well. Â decked out girls stand behind the bar and they don't really make drinks - i'd keep it simple and stick to beer and straight shots rather than asking for any kind of mixed drink.
the food is all right - nothing to write home about but half decent. Â if you're a guy and you go there the girl bartenders will try to get you to buy them drinks so they can increase sales and their tip. Â if you're drunk or close to it they'll start their sweet talk and try to get you to buy them more and more. Â watch out.
I was surprised that this place actually had good food! Â It's more of a bar and its owners are in cahoots (or they also own) the Karaoke place, Cafe U&I close by. Â I know, since one time my party of 20 were looking for a decent place to have a snack before we sung our lungs out and the karaoke owner led us by the hand over there...
They have this crazy asian/latin style "pizza"-like dish that had cheese and corn. Â Although strange, it was really good! Â Their Oujino Bokuem (spicy squid) is perhaps some of the best in Northern Virginia. Â It's also prepared very artistically with little noodle portions on each corner of the dish. Â A hidden gem that's great for sharing. Â Their Soju smells just right... like gasoline. Â The service was really great every time i've been there. Â Two microphones up!
This is a cozy bar but it's not very busy. Â That's the only knock I have on it. Â Service is fine and the food my date and I ordered tasted great, and I have no complaints about the food in the past either. Â Just wish the atmosphere was a bit better, but I guess you have to come on the weekend for that at this place.
