From the beautiful John King stone planter boxes greeting at the door, stepping into this beautiful gallery space you get the feeling that this is a small art town's dream being realized. Â Â Some of the best local art can be found here, from the hands of mostly representational artists and a handful of abstract painters and a few great sculptors and others in the mix. Â Â I can see this evolving over time but for now it is a solid representation of a core group of Humboldt's finest. Â Â The space is glorious and the staff is top notch with recruitment from the gallery and curatorial program at HSU. Â Jack and Amy Sewell put a lot of love, attention and time into doing right by this space and after only a few short months it seems like it has been here for years. Â Â The artwork changes regularly from the core group and a featured artist has a solo show in the front space each month. Â Â Eureka should be very proud!
