We love the Lost Coast Brewery. Â Whenever we come up to Humboldt County to see our beloved Redwoods, we stop by this fabulous local brewery for food and beer. Â I love the crisp, refreshing taste of the Great White. Â My spouse prefers the darker stout, especially the kind they brew in the summer. The pub food is great-- we usually order their nachos with pulled pork (half an order is plenty of food) and "build your own pizza" and share, it just hits the spot. Â The chicken wings and fish & chips are also tasty. Â We simply love their food...and the prices are right, too. Â Always crowded there--that's telling. The Lost Coast Brewery is a *must-stop* for all pub and beer lovers and for anyone visiting Humboldt!
Review Source:I love Lost Coast beer. Â So this was pretty much a must for me while I was staying in King Range. Â Sad to say, it was a disappointing and unremarkable experience. Â I was excited to get their raspberry ale on tap, but actually found it to be unremarkable. Â I've never tried this particular beer (because its only sold in the big bottle) but I either didn't care for it or something was up with the tap. Â Usually beer on tap tastes more robust and flavorful then watered down. Â I regret not asking them to bring me a tangerine wheat instead. Â The food sounds good, but it is rather bland and uninteresting. Â I had a Navajo chicken sandwich - it was okay but I've eaten a lot of flatbread in my life and this was the worst I've had. Â The sandwich itself lacked flavor. Â The other diners I ate with shared similar sentiments about their meals. Â The service was poor - the waitress brought us drinks, refilled them once (I noted that she didn't comeback after I didn't want another beer until it was time for the bill), and brought the bill without so much a smile or "thank you". Â
I think this would be a good happy hour spot to hang out at the bar and shoot pool  but don't bother with the food.  I hope the beer on tap doesn't always taste like that, btw.
