First time in last night; read the previous review about new ownership and while I hadn't been there before the renovation, I can tell you that the place is very clean, the food was good, reasonably priced, and served by cheerful staff. Â We went on a live music night (Atomic Drifters) and were pleased to see people dancing on the big dance floor! Nothing but good things to say, and thanks for supporting local live music.
Review Source:This place was recently sold. The new owner really cleaned it up. It smells clean (not like the old owners....whew) I went there on a recommendation for their chicken wings. They were awesome! (and cheap) I got there on taco night for 65 cent tacos so it was great all of the way around. I'll definitely go back. They seem to have their stuff in a pile. Lots of people getting take out orders which surprised me. Good job guys!
Review Source:The place was dead on a Saturday night. Â You would think the waitress would be happy to see a group of 7 people come in to double her tips for the night. Â Nope, she was rude to us during our entire stay. Â We were not rowdy, we didn't cause a mess, we asked the waitress for change to play billiards and arcade games and by her response you would think we asked her to make the quarters by hand. The place smelled like urine the instant we walked in, and none of the girls looked forward to using the restroom. Glad to put this place behind us.
Review Source:This place is a sketchy, dodgy, dive of a bar.
With the world's BEST and CHEAPEST gastrointestinal 'gasms, I recommend Shark's wholeheartedly. Â The Patty Melt is incredible and dirt cheap, as is the Chicken Quesadilla. Â And the breakfast burrito meat combo is my secret delight. Â
Additionally, they serve beer and burritos at 7 am. Â Breakfast and a buzz for 7 bucks at 7 am? Â DO IT TO IT.
Oh God, I thought it was a joke when I went in. Â The place smelled like someone had died and was rotting in the heat. Â The beer was warm, and the staff acted like I was demanding the house when I complained. Â I've only walked out of a handful of places in my entire life, but none as quickly as here. Â Never ever ever again. Â Actually laughed when an out-of-town friend suggested it as we were driving by.
Review Source:This is the best saloon & grill on West Colfax, you can't beat her prices and great food. The staff is friendly and Bernice is the best, she puts out free food on all major holidays and is never - ever closed. Don't listen to the idiots that obviously don't know a great place when they are in one; this place can't be beat!!  Sharks has the best burgers, green chili, and hot wings! Now  I'm hungry, meet you at Shark's.
Review Source:I must admit, I have a soft spot for the kind of place that I can crawl to at 7AM on a Sunday morning and get both a good breakfast and an eye-opener without having to shave and just pulling on a baseball cap to cover the crop circles that some alien left in my hair last night. Â So if your style is more the 'Brunch' thing (I like that too sometimes) this isn't the place.
Let's face it, it's a bar. Not even a very nice bar. It's blue collar, complete with pool tables and the dude at the end of the bar that's still trying to sleep one off.
But the free Menudo every Sunday is spicy, they know what to do with eggs, the service is good, and trust me when I tell you, be careful with those Bloody Mary's or you'll need to add either cab fare or legal expenses to the cost of breakfast.
Not my kind of spot on a Friday night, but for the 'day after' it's the bomb. I just hope I'm never the guy at the end of the bar. :)
