Trying to be high end sports bar. When are nachos not nachos? In this place. Epic fail. Food is like dog food. Our waitress gave horrible service. We had to fine maitre d for our bill. He was everywhere walking around but did little managing. It was so bad an experience we got to a point where we were just laughing at the horrible service.

Went on a Monday (7/1/13) 8:00 pm.  I think they have been reading the reviews and trying to improve (or we were just lucky).  The place was almost empty, so my wife and I were immediately greeted and seated in front of a bank of flat screens showing the 2 ball games that were on - we're happy.  The menu is fairly extensive and except for wines and some beers, did not seem overpriced.  Like another couple whose review I just read, we ordered the Cobb salad and I got the Esposito hamburger (rare).

They both were good, well prepared and portion was good sized without being overwhelming.  Waiter was attentive enough - we did not test his knowledge of the ingredients, menu or preparation.  After I finished my soda he didn't ask if I wanted a refill (free) - he sort of disappeared for a while.

I watch a lot of Food Network and often see what is wrong in restaurants and why they fail.  From the reviews posted here, it looks like they better start paying attention to the food quality and prep - BUT for us all was well.

I hope they do improve and are paying attention because it is really nice having a restaurant at this location.

I hate giving one star to anyone or anything. In fact, it makes me feel guilty that I even have to submit this review. However, my experience here was so bad that I will never step foot in this place unless I was forced at knife point. This is something I need to share.

I'll preface this by saying the manager, Michael, has been nothing but extremely helpful throughout this entire episode. My girlfriend and I decided to grab drinks and an appetizer here after shopping at the mall. Bartender took my credit card for my tab after we ordered drinks and buffalo nachos. Nachos came out within a few minutes because they used a pre-made cheese sauce that they poured over the chips. This was the first time I've ever sent anything back.

I talked to the manager and he was great. He took it off my bill, explained how other people didn't like it either and said he tried bringing it up with the chef. Well my girlfriend and I felt a little embarrassed we had to do that so we drank our beers and left cash for our tab, completely forgetting about my credit card (doh!).

I call back the very next day and they don't have my credit card. REALLY!? I was very suspicious and also curious to see what was going to happen so I ordered a new credit card instead of reporting it lost/stolen. Fast forward one month later and I see a charge on my card from Skybokx. Wow. I called them immediately and talked to the manager who instantly remembers me. Turns out, some customer used my credit card to buy drinks. They supposedly left a good tip too - how nice of them. Needless to say, I disputed the charge and reported fraud. I wonder how this customer got my card?

Take what you will from this review. I would personally steer clear of this place. Other reviewers appear to reverberate this sentiment.

We went here for game 5 of the playoffs.  The decor is very cool and I really wanted to love this place.  We ordered nachos when we sat down and waited.  And waited.  The table of 8 behind us that arrived 20 minutes after us received their food at the end of the first period.  An hour after we ordered.  The waitress said the order was lost and brought us the nachos.  The nachos were mediocre with melted cheese sauce - not real cheese.  We ordered dinner and asked if we could get it within a half hour.  The kitchen manager assured us it would be there.  The dinners were good - stick to the pizza.  Overall, not a great experience......

Sat at the bar for ~15 mins without so much as a 'Hi'. Left shortly thereafter. Too bad, it seems like a great place to catch a game. Will not return.

To start off, I really had high hopes for this restaurant and really wanted to like it, however there are some aspects of this establishment that are sub-par.

My father and I wanted to try this place out during the last game of the Bruins-Ranger series. In anticipation of the busy night, we made reservations. When we arrived at 6:30 the place was filled to the brim, and we thought thank god we made reservations. We came to find out that there were no tables available and that we would not be seated. The host literally said, "We cannot seat you." First off, I'm not sure what they seem to think the definition of a reservation is, but I was taught that it meant that regardless of the volume of people that arrive, there would be a table reserved for you or at least one that would be ready in a reasonable amount of time. This was not the case and no one seemed to have an answer as to why this was the case. Secondly, I feel that the phrase of "We cannot seat you" could be replaced by, "Let me see what I can do." When we asked for the manager, all we got was "he is busy right now". Luckily, a more experienced host was able to resolve the issue.

Other than that, the food in my opinion was excellent. The chopped cob was one of the best the best that I had ever had. My burger was excellent, but my fathers was overcooked. The service speed was a but slow, but that is understandable due to the massive amount of people in the restaurant that night.

Logistically, this restaurant still has to figure some things out, like how you have to understand that you market yourself as a sports bar, and on game nights you should expect higher volumes of customers and how that might play out with reservations. I will definitely try this place out again, but for now I cannot necessarily recommend it.

I Really Really wanted this to be a good review, but I am again disappointed. This is my 2nd time here. My 1st time was within the first week they opened did not go well, soup cold, fish/chips very small portions, and the rest wasn't much better, the manager came over and comped part of our bill it was that bad. I wrote it off as growing pains.

Went there last night for drinks only, the place still looks great, Big TV, new and clean., I sat at a bar station that had 8 stools, waited for 15 min, no serves, I watched the 3 bartenders BS with each other, and the one waitress running around helping tables. I finally went up to the bar and got a drink menu, the waitress made it to us about 5-7 min after that. The drink took another 10 min to get, really, the bartenders where not busy, the place was only 1/3 full.

Areas to improve: Team work needed, bartenders and mangers help the waitress when they are busy!!

Glass on the bar are stacked together to dry...BIG BIG no no, this causes bacteria to grow in the glasses. Again this is a bartender and managers problem to fix.

I really like the decor and the atmosphere, because of this I am going to try this place one more time, but that is it, 3 strikes and your out!

My husband and I just ate here. Let's just say, my husband is havung serious "tummy trouble" and that's putting it lightly.  The food is horrible. Ordered the buffalo nachos, basically queso cheese wiz and fake chicken. Awful. Tried the "'good fever" wings....tasted like sour chicken with a sweet/tangy after bite . Bar staff is amazing and can seriously make fabulous drinks. I would only go here for drinks. Don't waste your money on the food.....disgusting!!!!!!

I went here for the first time this past Saturday to see a friend's band and celebrate my girlfriend's birthday -- very impressed! Skybokx has a great location in a large parking lot, right off 9 /30/ the Pike.

I had a chicken sandwich that was quite tasty and had a tangy horseradish sauce with it - quite good! Served fresh and on a warm roll. Folks in my party ordered several apps of variety, including a REALLY good artichoke dip that had toasted pita chips. All were quite good, albeit a little spicy. But hey, that's there thing!

I was quite happy with the beer selection - a few good drafts ($4-5 each) and some better selection on bottles, including Jack's Abbey and Sam Smith Taddy Porter, a personal favorite. The girls all seemed to like their cocktails, especially the sorbet martini, and when we switched to pitchers, they were cold and inexpensive.

Great venue for a band, too! Nice stage tucked in the corner with some house lights on the rigs - a welcome sight in the Metrowest bars! Tons of TVs showing a variety of games -- I'll happily return here!

I was expecting something of a dive, but this was actually pretty nice. I felt underdressed in my yoga pants. We just had a couple apps and beers.

They have a great selection of beers on tap which were served nice and cold. We had the classic buffalo wings. There was a bit too much breading for my taste. I liked them, my husband didn't.  Good amount of spice, and it was served with what tasted like a homemade blue cheese dressing. The spinach artichoke dip was amazing and it was served with warm pita bread.

Our server was very nice and attentive. We would definitely go back.

Prices are about average. Two beers each and 2 apps was $35 before tip.

Went for food and drinks at the new Skybokx bar in Natick and loved it!!  There was a good selection of beer for me to choose from and plenty of booze and specialty cocktails for my wife. The menu was a little small which is why this is getting a 4 star rating instead of 5.  The food we got was great and there were all the games you'de want to see on the many TV's.  The staff was all friendly and our bar tender Josh had us both entertained. He was professional and knowledgeable and able to dazzle my wife with drink concoctions. We'll definitely be back again!!

Good layout for a bar.  Plenty of seating for large groups and bar seating.  Fairly large drink/beer menu.  Great knowledgeable and attentive service and bar tenders. Food is less impressive.   I've gotten the food 3 times and it was very mediocre every time.  The burger tasted as if it was a frozen patty and had almost zero flavor.  Super disappointed.  Every "Gastropub" needs to knock a burger out of the park and I could get a burger of this quality at my company cafeteria.  The menu was well thought and is unique but I think it's a bit too ambitious for a bar.  Yes, I know its  gastro pub, but to me I think they went slightly more aggressive than they needed too.  And if you don't like horseradish,,you can eliminate about 7 items.  Wings were good but not a place I would go out of the way to eat at that's for sure.

Like another reviewer said, this place is underwhelming in almost every way.

This is not the place to go for dinner and watch the game.
This is the place you go with a bunch of friends, drink crappy beer and watch the game.
I feel like I'm at Game On when I'm here- the food is mediocre at best, the beer selection isn't great, neither are the mixed drinks and the servers- while attentive lack personality and quite possibly experience.

eh. decor is kind of cool, very clean.  I had fish and chips which was very good, fries were amazing, tarter-like sauce amazing. Everyone elses meal was just ok, kids pizza not so good. The server was nice.  It was very quiet though and the part where you go to your table was slow and the hostess non communicative. We asked for a birthday dessert for the birthday mom and it was like a huge deal and they were no at all accommodating.  They didn't pull it off. The manager  came over and had his back to us, it felt rude and they pointed us to our table, didn't show us, so a less then good start.  I would have walked out had I Not been meeting friends. But I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt as they are new. I'd try again in about 2-3 months.

I think the place is nice, clean and the staff is friendly.   Food is good, but for the price it could be better compared to other up scale bars in the area.  Needs to work some kinks out and some of the wait staff need to learn to return the change and let the customer decide what to tip rather then holding onto the change and asking the customer "do they want their change back"?  :Pretty Rude.... but not all of the wait staff do this, 99% friendly and great.

Great space - nice dining area,  great bar,  tons of t.v.s,  private function room.  Service was pretty bad - took forever for our waiter to come to our table,  took forever to get our table bused,  took forever for everything - and the place was not busy when we arrived.  Cocktails were terrible (my cosmos was a vodka & water).  Weird thing was that there were a bunch of management/suits around (doing what i don't know).  Food was decent - good burger,  fish & chips,  nice shoestring fries - but not great.  I would love to see this place succeed, but it needs work.  Overall - my review is "meh."

This place is awesome. I think some of the reviewers are turning into gordon ramsey, "oh thats dry", get over yourselves please. The place is beautiful, well needed for the area, and the beer tasted awesome. Thanking you for filling this empty hole that just sat there empty for two years. (landlord a little unrealistic?) whatever the reason, thank you and welcome.

This area is hurting so much for a decent bar that the crowds will still go no matter how bad it is.  SkyBokx is nice... Lots of TV's , huge bar, open space, huge potential for a top spot. BUT ......

    1) If you are going to have a bartender specifically for the service bar it still should not take 15 minutes to get your drink after you order it when sitting at a table.

    2)  if I go out of my way to order my wings "extra crispy" that is how they should arrive at the table. I hate rubber wings !!

    3) If I order the prime burger for $18 bucks its should be perfect in every way. I ordered it medium, it came out well done. It literally had one drop of horseradish aioli and no au-jus on the side.  This is no Radius burger ...

    4) The TV's were loud ( which was fine with me ) ... But if half the place is complaining about it they may have a point ... Turn it down a notch.

Hopefully these are just kinks being worked out , but the prices are high so they better work them out in a hurry or most visitors here will be one timers.

I want to check this bar out last night for a drink.  The decor was very simple with an open concept, but it looked nice. It is great for a sports bar, but not as a restaurant, too noisy. It had a large bar so great for a group to come for a gathering.
The servers were quick to take our order and checked on us frequently which was nice.
Needed to use the restrooms......no toilet paper!
Overall..... Good for a group to meet at the bar.....

Checked out the new sports bar for the first time. The drinks were great, one of the best Bloody Mary i have had. The staff was very attentive and informative.  We ordered the buffalo cheese nachos which were a major dissapointment! It was buffalo flavored cheese over nachos...with bits of chicken hidden around. The bartender saw we were not happy with it an quickly took off our check.  Also heard 3 orders were returned the night before,so definately not a hit.

Ordered the burgers, burger was cooked perfect, juicey and would order again for sure. I ordered fries which were delicious, they were shoestring fries. Chef is trying to be too fancy I think.  He needs to realize this is a sports bar and what the average Metrowest patron wants is good, hearty, sports pub food...yes put a little twist on it to make your own.. but don't totally change it up.

Prices reasonable. Lots of TV's for sports...dining room open and close to bar..so not an intimate dining spot.  Metrowest was missing  a bar like this, so it's a perfect fit.

    I would definately go back!

This place is underwhelming in almost every way.  We went with a big group and started out just standing in the bar area.  When we moved to a hightop in the bar area, they made a huge deal about switching the tab over to a new server.  The new server was friendly, but it seemed like they made a bigger deal out of switching tables than they did providing prompt service.  Nothing horrible, just... underwhelming.

Food is fine, but not "gastro" quality.  The food seemed to be on par with other big chain restaurants, but priced maybe $2 higher.  Ordered a manhattan--couldn't taste the whiskey (if there was any) through the sickish sweet syrup.  Was going to send it back, but realized that its just not the kind of bar to order a drink like that (Jagr bombs and shots--ok, martinis/manhattans/etc--not so much).

The only thing I really, REALLY object to is the beer list.  First, for the most part, it's incredibly unimaginative.  It's like they told the Budweiser/InBev rep, "Yeah, we need Bud, but give us a few of your foreign beers, and maybe one or two of your 'American craft' beers, too. Sorry, you spend hundreds of thousands of dollars renovating the place, putting in a sweet Bose sounds system, yet you can't take the time to put together a decent beer list?  I can get Bellhaven, a 'Scottish' InBev label, but nothing local?  If the manager is reading this, go check out Sel de la Terre, across the street at the mall--yes, a French restaurant's beer list wipes the floor with your "gastro sports" list.

Also (this is beer related, but deserves its own paragraph), you carry Stone Arrogant Bastard in a bottle (which is good, the highlight of your beer list), but you charge 9 FRIGGEN DOLLARS FOR IT!  NOT COOL.  It's a great beer, but you're basically alienating beer snobs (me) with that stunt.  Framingham/Natick is beer country.  We know good beer, and your beer list will kill you.  I know I'm being an arrogant bastard about this (see what I did there?), but I also drink a lot and tip well, so in theory you might want to make some easy changes so that people who like good beer will go here.

An excellent addition to an area that sorely need a good sports bar with open viewing of many TV's. We went with a larger group (8) and had dinner on a weekend night the first week open. They did have a few minor opening kinks to work out but nothing major. Food was pretty good. The buffalo wings were delicious and slightly different than the usual which i found very good. They are extremely messy so you'll need extra napkins for sure. Another review mentioned being squeezed in, they did seem to be working out table placement but I am sure they will have that figured out in the short term. Nothing t prevent me from giving them a decent rating or coming back.

Been there twice now. I will cut them some slack as they are still new. The food is good for a Sports Bar and it should only get better. I don't like the set up in the main dinning area they can do better there.

Staff- waitstaff was good. The problem; they seem to have only one bartender who knows what is going on.

Get some pros behind the bar please.

I checked out Skybokx with my boyfriend and his parents about a week ago. I'm not sure why another reviewer said there were no booths, because we were seated immediately at a booth for 4 people. They are also not as close together as the reviewer stated, though some were closer than others. Not any different from other restaurants.

The waitstaff was extremely attentive and very informative about the food, from appetizers to the pizza (the veggie one is raw veggies on pizza dough...delicious, but  we were expecting that). Our food came out very quickly and time perfectly.

We order the nachos as an appetizer. Delicious! We woolfed it down. The kidney beans were a nice touch, and different from other restaurants.

My boyfriend's stepfather order the prime rib burger for $18....it was excellent, cooked perfectly medium rare. It came with a horseradish aoili that he did not eat, but I tasted it and it was excellent if you like horseradish and garlic sauce.

I got the Thai wings. Very good; nothing special though. It came with a lime chipotle sauce. I liked the wings w/o the sauce.

My boyfriend got the pizza, which the waiter warned us did have raw veggies on top instead of cooked. Huge chunks of mozzerella cheese, spinach. My boyfriend loved it!

My boyfriend's mother got the chicken schnitzel. Having had schnitzel in Austria, this was definitely cooked the same, albeit with chicken. The piece was HUGE and came with a side salad. She only ate half the piece and did not eat the salad b/c the leaves were a bit wilted/leathery. I had some of her chicken as well. Later, both of us complained of upset stomachs. Not pretty. We're uncertain if it was the fact that it was fried (her and I don't eat a lot of fried food) or the chicken itself. Either way, it left us a bit bummed later.

Overall, the experience was good and the food was good. I plan on going back and checking it out during a game, as we went w/o a game on and it was relatively dead. As I sat at the bar waiting for my company to arrive, an elderly couple sat next to me. They ordered wings (garlic and thai) and the smell was amazing!!

I'll update after a second visit...we'll see if the upset stomach after the chicken was a fluke!

If I could give "0" stars I would.

Went with my husband to try this new spot.  What a MAJOR disappointment.

We asked for a "booth" and was told "we only have halve booths" so we figure what the heck.  (Please notice that there are booths pictured on their website).  We were like sardines in a can.  The tables were very close together to a point that the couple next to us actually joined our conversation!

I was told that the hit of this place would be the 109 Skybokz burger, but I refuse to pay $18 for "ground prime rib".  Instead I got the "angus" burger" for $9, not so bad or one would think.  My husband opts for the "new" item on the menu, the "sausage" sub.

    What a dissaster!

The burger would compare to Burger King of McDonald's in size.  Overcooked, although asked what tempature I would like (medium rare), coming out well done.  Opted for the side salad instead of the fries- another mistake.

My husband's "sausage" sub had a deli slice of sausage, along with a hot dog, barely noticeable peppers and onions- $12!  My husband ate half and left the rest.

The draft beers are $4 which is to be expected, buth $7.50 for a glass of "sangria" that was served in a small wine glass, filled with ice and an overpour of juice, no taste whatsoever.

We did get the Thai chicken wings which were just okay- $8 about 6-7 pieces, nothing to write home about.

The waiter was nice but obviously very confused.  Took a long time to get our drinks, didn't check back on us once the food came.

We couldn't get the check fast enough to get out of there.  $50 later left unhappy, unfilled and totally disappointed.

We willl not be coming back!

Food was good.  So far so good.  Atmosphere as far as build out and utilizing space was nice.  Great lay out.   Wait staff needs some help.   Bartender with additive and the measuring of  expensive drinks are a draw back.   Ten (10.00 ) for a thimble of whatever.  Really.  Has potential. Hope they see the light and work it out.

The interior is very nice. I love the decor and ambiance. That's about it.

The food was mediocre at best. We got the buffalo chicken nachos which were cold and not very good. My Cesar "salad" was actually 6 pieces of iceberg lettuce, straight off the head of lettuce. Not cut up or anything.

The cocktail I ordered cost $9 and was more juice than alcohol.

    We will not be returning.

Went with the family to check out this new spot. We were afraid that it would be swamped so we got there around 5:45 and got seated right away in a booth near the bar. There was a good crowd at the bar but not that busy for dinner at that time. Decor is very cool with exposed brick and local sports photos on the wall. Granite bar with plenty of TVs, this will be a great spot to catch games.

While you can tell they are still working out the kinks, we had a very good time. Our server was very nice and was attentive albeit still learning the menu. Food was delivered promptly with good spacing between apps and dinner. While they seemed to have many taps for draft beer, the actual selection was limited. Wine selection was limited as well but reasonably priced. Our server told us they haven't had their official opening so I am sure there would be more variety on a future visit.

In terms of the food, it was very good. We had the tuna tostada and Thai chili wings to start. The tostada was like the insides of a spicy tuna roll served on a fried wonton, with big chunks of tuna. It was very fresh and well seasoned. The Thai chili wings were very tasty with a pleasant heat that didn't overpower but made your lips tingle a little.

My wife had the turkey club sandwich that she said was great. I had the au poivre burger, which was delicious but required a knife and fork since it was very messy. My oldest daughter liked her cheeseburger and my son liked the pizza although it looked like it was a little soggy. My other daughter had buffalo wings for her entree and she said they were very good. We unanimously loved the fries.

All in all, it was a great experience and the front of house manager made a point of asking how everything was as we were finishing out meal, which was really nice.

I can only see it getting better as they find their rhythm and we will definitely be going back. I am sure it will be more crowded next time.

Skybokx 109 opened less than a week ago.  Normally I avoid restaurants during their opening days as they almost always have problems until they get their rhythm. We had business colleagues staying for a meeting at the next door Hampton Inn, so it made sense to meet them for drinks there.  In the end, I wound up going to Skybokx 3 days in a row - once for drinks, once for drinks and appetizers, and finally,  I went on the restaurant's first Saturday night for dinner with my family.

The restaurant is set up as a nice sports bar, with enough TVs such that I don't think you could sit anywhere and complain you didn't have a good view of at least one TV.  Two out of my 3 visits I was seated in the private dining room, which has about 6 tables and is nice if your as much into conversation as watching whatever event is on TV, i.e. the main room is what you would expect with regard to noise level.

The drinks only visit, went fine.  The selection of beers was nice, and the good selection of draft beers apparently changes each day.  Service was attentive and reasonably efficient.

The drink and appetizer visit was also good, though there was some hint of issues with getting the food out as it seemed to me to take longer than it should have for an order of 3 appetizers.  Once they arrived though, all were quite tasty.  The nachos plate was generous, and particularly good if you like your nachos with ample chili and a bit of kick.  I also liked that the chips seemed fresh and not greasy at all.  Ribs were flavorful with the meat very tender.  Asian rolls were also ordered and while not my first choice for bar food, also seemed nice with their peanut sauce.

Given the above experiences, along with a good football game going on Saturday night, I was encouraged to take my family there for a full dinner. Unfortunately, this is when my fear of the "newly opened restaurant" were realized.  As word still hasn't gotten out yet, we were immediately seated though we arrived at 6:00, a typically busy dinner hour for the area.  From there on, the service went severely downhill.  We were asked about drinks fairly quickly, but then had to wait about 15 minutes until they arrived.  And, as an omen for the rest of the dinner, our waitress first went to the wrong table with our drinks.  We were in the private dining room that night and noted that the other tables were also getting similarly little to no, or confused service.  Fortunately for all of us, the managers came in (in one case, as family with young children, the father had to get up to get a manager) and tried to put out the various fires of no drinks or appetizers.  We waited about 30 minutes for our appetizers to arrive (after the 15 minute wait for drinks) and then about 3 minutes later 2 of our 4 main courses came out - something, that even with a long wait for food, always annoys me.  Still my son and I were without our burgers.  For about another 10-15 minutes, the waitress would randomly come by our table to see if we had gotten our burgers, see that we hadn't, and say she would look into it.  Finally, I had to get up and go to a manager to get him to find out what happened to our burgers.  He finally came back, apologized, noting that the order had not gone through but was being filled now. Notably, he was good enough to take the charge for the burgers off our bill. (Another table seemed to get their whole dinner for 5 for free after talking with the manager.)  So it wasn't till significantly over an hour that my son and I finally had our dinners.

All the above being said, the food was very good.  We ordered the nachos again, which were just as good as the previous night, and an order of buffalo wings.  Note that even the supposedly very hot wings were not that spicy, but were very tasty, and what I consider appropriately flavored, i.e. not heavy on a more BBQ sauce type of flavor. (My family is big into wings, and I wouldn't go here just for the wings, but they certainly make a nice appetizer.)  My wife had a pepperoni pizza which seemed reasonable though nothing exciting, my daughter went with a grilled cheese sandwich that she greatly enjoyed, and both my son and I were very pleased with our hamburgers.  The burgers and sandwich came with fries (or you could get a salad); the fries were in some way the highlight of the meal - thin and no hint of oil, salted just right.

My family and I will return to Skybokx 109, after some time to get the bugs out, because the food was very good, and the menu is supposed to expand before the end of January 2013.  For now my 3 star rating will stand as the average of 4 star food and 1-2 star service.  Given how the management seemed to be very aware of the problems, I have hope for 4 stars in the future.
