Hop to the Beat Dance Studio

My wife and I have been taking lessons from Tony and Aurelie Tye for a couple of years now.  Not only are they fabulous dancers and instructors, but they really create a fun and relaxed environment in which to learn.

Very nice people.  Bad location.  Okay as instructors, but there are better in the Boston area.

Tony and Aurelie Tye are the owners and instructors.  They teach several styles of swing dancing, especially lindy hop and  balboa, and a colleague teaches hip-hop.  Most of their classes are in the Newton area.  They also have a studio in Hopkinton.

They hold social dances throughout the area and travel to teach nationally.  They also sponsor internationally -known instructors to come and teach workshops locally.

Group lessons are ~$10 a class... No pressure... Dress casual... great exercise...
