    EuroBallroom is a great place!

My husband and I discovered EuroBallroom when we were preparing for our wedding and we had so much fun we never stopped.

Boris is exceptional with dancers of all levels (those of us with very little skill) all the way to advanced. He is able to make anyone comfortable and goes out of his way to put people at ease as they learn.

In addition to the extensive courses Boris offers to prepare you for that special occasion he also offers group lessons and open dance parties (with dance lessons beforehand) which are a blast.

If you are looking for something fun to do as a couple, or for a group of friends or if you are looking for someone to help you perfect your dance for a special occasion, Boris at EuroBallroom is the person to see.

It's a small studio, in a little corner of Adams Street in Newton's "The Lake"; if you blink you might have just missed it.  The dance studio's owner and sole instructor, Boris, is a Russian born tall gentleman of well defined experience, shown by the trophies and awards given to both the students and the studio from Newton and Boston.

Boris greets everyone with a warm welcoming hand-shake (for the guys) and an added kiss on the cheek (for the ladies).   He has a very open sense of humor that helps when you're making mistakes trying to recreate the dance moves that he's teaching you.  The group size is not too big, not too small, and all the people are open and friendly.  While most of the students know each other due to going there for a while and seeing each other every week, they are very open and welcoming to those new first timers or people who just wanted to find a new ballroom dance studio.

With a prompt start of 815 pm, which is the time for the group class that I attend on Friday evenings,  the classes aren't long, about 45 minutes, with every minute dedicated to the dance your learning for the night.  The dance of the night changes by the week example: (for me) week 1 - Traditional Waltz; week 2 - 2 step swing.

For me, this is a great way to meet new people, enjoy the company of those I have met already.  Boris is so funny and has great patience when your adding beats or missing beats to the steps.  It's a fun and enjoyable way to spend 45 minutes on a friday night before going out to what ever plans you have to follow!

***Be sure to check the website for the hours of open classes***
