Sports Depot Grill & Bar

I think my fellow reviewers nailed it with their reviews, with the exception of health code violations. No hot water in the bathrooms and when asked for a straw, the waitress reaches over and grabs an unwrapped straw for me. Gross.

I heard waitresses make a decent amount of money in tips there, so I'm hoping I heard incorrectly. The service was awful. Also, the waitress had to be asked for the awful infomercial on the tvs to be changed to football. This was a Sunday afternoon in November. All of the other patrons seemed to have similar experiences as we could hear them all openly complaining.

I have a quick tip for people, go somewhere else. Worst place ever.

Walking into Sports Depot with my family was like the dreaded walking around with no clothes on dream. Everyone is staring, drawing judgement, and then ignores you. We all got the once over from everyone at the bar and then were dismissed. It definitely felt like a place where you have to know someone to be allowed to go in.

But we were there and hungry, so we decided to brazen it out. Sticking to just appetizers and beer (we wanted to eat and leave), we ordered wings and the kids got kids meal. My first impression was how expensive the wings were. I understand at a franchise that has royalty expenses, marketing costs, etc... but at a Mom and Pop I usually expect much better priced food. Not here, everything was top dollar for bar food. And then they came out and were just mediocre. We left half eaten food on our tables, downed our beer (because no matter how bad, you never leave good beer), and high tailed it out of there.

I'm a big advocate for anything new on the west side, but until I learn the secret code here, unfortunately I will not be back
