I'm not sure about the pizza specifically, but I had a calzone and my mind was blown for sure!! Â I'm usually hesitant about getting calzones due to the 'bready-ness" of another famous local pizzeria (that I'm sure you know the phone number to.)
Anyways, the toppings were delicious and they definitely did not skimp on them. Â The mixture of cheeses (ricotta and mozzarella I believe) were perfect! Â The crust was done perfectly and not doughy (like the other guys').
It's a small spot inside, and can be sort of drafty in the winter if people are coming and going. Â They have two flat screen TV's that were tuned to ESPN (probably a normal thing) and about 10-12 booths for dine in. Â I ordered carryout and the wait time was a reasonable 10-15minutes.
If for nothing else, I will be back for a calzone. Â The guy that helped me, I believe he was the owner, was super friendly and didn't mind that I had questions. Â LOVE IT!!
This unassuming pizza joint is tucked in a tiny strip mall off North Bend, and I would never have thought to try this on my own. Â We went in and ordered a medium pie, which was perfectly cooked and the crust was thin and crisp with just the right amount of chew. Â The sauce was amazing and there wasn't too much sauce/cheese disproportion either. Â The service itself was great and it seemed like a family-owned business, which i'm always a fan of. Â My boyfriend is from NY and said this was some of the best pizza he has had since moving from NY to the Cincinnati area.
Review Source:Ordered an extra large Queens (Veggie) and it was pretty good. Â The crust was awesome and the pie was light on the sauce, especially when compared to La Rosa's. Â It's not quite New York Style though, the toppings are tiny. Â I'm used to New York pizzas with huge pieces of veggies. Â I expected onions and peppers a couple inches long instead of 1/4", but they tasted good/fresh enough to affect the rating though. Â I'll definitely eat here again. Â So far it's my favorite pizza on the West Side. Â I would have given five stars if the sauce was herbier and had huge toppings. Â Regardless, they make great pizza at a good price.
