Just Ok.  My Guiness burger arrived just wee bit underdone.  I ordered Medium.  The flag fries were ok.  Don't care for the high chair seating and there really aren't any lower seats or booths.  OK spot for a burger and a beer, but just OK..This is really close to my home, but next time I think I will drive a little furhter for something better.

Went to this place a while back with a group and it took 20 min for a drink and over an hour for so so bar food. The group decided to try it again since the TV Rescue and and they should have let it die! Service was much better but when I took a bite of my Chicken Klub (as they called it) and it crunched and bounced back I thoufgt it was my imagination. After a second bite and further inspection I found I had been served a RAW Chicken Klub! When I told the server she casually ask if I wanted it heated up!. At that point 8 of us left and went 1/4 mile down the road to Maury's Tiny Cove and had a WONDERFUL meal! PS RAW chicken does not sit well in the human digestive system! Nor does this Bar & Grill!

I really don't understand some reviews. I've been to 'The Public House' aka Black sheep numerous times, before and after 'Bar Rescue' and have never encountered an 'unpleasant smell'. I smell burgers, and pizza, and the occasional waft of a perfect pour Guinness.

The wait staff is super friendly, happy to answer any questions, and make suggestions based on their opinion, not what is being 'pushed' that day.
I've never had a bad burger, I vary from the Baa Baa black sheep, to Cheviot's finest, never have I been disappointed. The pizza is a pleasant surprise, you'd think with the burger menu and the 'Irish' theme, pizza would be out of their 'sweet spot' but it's not I've had it four times and each has been damn good! Bar Rescue said Cheviot is mostly German/Irish...but an Italian must have slipped in while no one was looking...

I'm not there enough that I'm known, but each time, I'm made to feel that way. I'm not a number, I'm not a next step to a tip, I'm not an annoyance. (Well I may be, but I'm not made to feel that way)
The owner has cleared our table, been quick with a smile ,and when he asks how everything was, it's not just to make conversation, he listens and talks with you, not at you.

Please....go here...get yourself the fried pickles, order a 'Guinness' ..trust me...it's all in the pour...get a burger or split a pizza...and enjoy. It's not complicated. If they are crowded, guess what, it may take a minute to get to you, that's how a successful business is...

If this is not what you are looking for, by all means, enjoy your experience at Applebee's or 'TGIF's....We all know, bicycles, and musical instruments hanging from the wall  and posters from the 80's is the mark of a great bar/restaurant... but if you want an experience, and help a small business grow....The Pubic House is where you belong.
