The food is good and the atmosphere is really nice. Â However......the service is horrendous! Waited 15 minutes for server to take our drink order. Â 20 minutes later we asked where our drinks were and then she proceeds to tell us they were out of the draft beer we ordered. Â So we ordered something else instead. Â Another 20 minutes goes by. Â We flagged down the hostess to ask if there was a problem with the server. Â She proceeds to tell us that they are really busy and reminds us that she is "just a hostess". Â Classic not my problem attitude!
We ordered appetizers and our dinner. Â Waited quite some time for the appetizers. Â She brought us our nachos but not our wings. Â When we asked where the wings were she looked clueless. Â She claims she didn't hear us order wings....funny part is she definitely heard us because she asked us if we wanted them mild or hot.
Management should really make changes and hire a competent service staff.
WAY WAY WAY OVERPRICED. If you want to go to a museum go pay admission. Going to this place and paying 30% more the any of their food is worth is crap. Don't get me wrong the food was good...not great, the service was decent, not great, and the only seats with truely great views of the tvs are at the bar....so there is ABSOLOUTELY NO EXCUSE to justify these high prices.
Maybe if the food was amazing these prices could be justified. Maybe if the service was impeccable these prices could be justified, heck if even the atmoshere was fixed it would be better... OVERALL: FAIL unless they start passing out 25% off all food coupons. If they start doing that I would go there 2-3 times a month, maybe more....
I don't frequently eat here--only have during football games and random times when there is no place else to go to meet up with friends.
Bar is usually where I am and its constantly some sort of townie reunion here--oh well, guess I'm still a townie too. Â Drinks are good and strong and not all too expensive, typical prices for the area. Â (I find the food to actually be a bit on the higher side for burgers and wings... not cool man.) Â Bartenders are friendly and attentive to refilling drinks. Â Have the itunes machine which is a plus. Â
They have really random hours tho- some Fridays they are open late and other times they are closed by 10pm. whats going on?? Â Dark ambiance makes me feel mysterious and cool.
No matter how many times I give this place a chance I am disappointed each time. The food is good, TVs at bar amazing...beers good too....sports memorabilia galore..when it comes to the service, that is where they fail drastically.
I find it strange employees can sit around the bar and chat while on duty, off duty bartenders sit and drink at bar and get served faster than paying costumers. We sat with empty beers for over 10 minutes and it wasn't that busy, seems the owner/manager was keeping busy but his staff not the case. This place should make their employees work more and then it would be better. It is exhausting waiting for bad servers to get around and treat you like a criminal ruining their nights....isn't that why they are there.
If i were rating this place as a sport museum it would get 5 stars
AMAZING amount of memorabilia.....cool design and layout.
The food as expected was pretty good (wings and burgers ...cmon you have to get that right here.
Impressed by the 17 beers on TAP.
Fun times, Service a bit rocky but people were friendly.
This place is like no other! It's literally a sports museum with food and booze. The atmosphere is unreal. Beautiful mahogany framed glass cases along all the walls that Holds sports memorabilia like babe Ruth's first contract with the Yankees, the original heisman, and millions of autographed pieces. The bar itself is a glass case that holds the souvenirs as well. You look under your coaster and there's Patrick ewings game worn shoes.
The owner and employees are so friendly and good at what they do . A true gem in the middle of nowhere. If your a sports fan this is a must see destination
If you are in the area, and you are a sports fan and enjoy sports memorabilia, this is a place you've gotta try! The sports memorabilia collection is VERY impressive.
The folks are very friendly....Meghan(sp) our Bartender/Server was so friendly, and after chatting with us a few minutes, and finding out how much I love hot and spicy chicken wings, suggested that I try the 9-1-1 wings. Â I did. Â They were cooked perfectly, and were very spicy, but delicious! Â A caveat for those that might consider trying them.... I have a VERY high tolerance for heat...some may find them to be too spicy for their taste....but for those that love super hot wings...give them a try!!!
I look forward to returning to spend more time checking out the memorabilia, there is so much, Â you can't possibly catch it all in one visit...and to trying some of the other menu items here. Â
Go Giants!!!!
The memorabilia is absolutely incredible. Â The place is set up nicely also. The bartender and wait staff were very nice. The beer was nice and cold. The food was not good. I ordered the famous Angus half pound burger and was very disappointed. Â The bun was stale and was to big for the burger and crumbled into a mess before I was done with the burger.. Â The burger itself was nothing special either, dry and not a lot of flavor and I would guess it was frozen when they put it on the grill. Â Next time I'll just have a beer or two and look at the thousand of items displayed.
Review Source:With the hot weather upon us I figured let's go out and grab a bite to eat at The Stadium. Â When we first walked in I quickly noticed that the lobby was very dusty and not as clean as I remembered from the many times I patronized the establishment. Â My wife and I were greeted by the hostess who was very pleasant and seated us promptly. Â While seated I noticed pieces of paper laying about the floor and the woodwork felt as if it had not been cleaned in months. Â Our order was taken within a reasonable time and our drinks were brought out in a fair amount of time. Â For dinner I ordered the Penne Alla Vodka and my wife had Salad with Grilled Salmon. Â While waiting for our dinner to arrive a basket of rolls was provided. Â The rolls tasted like chalk, very dry and grainy. Â Needless to say they were pushed aside and where not even fit enough to bring home for our chickens to eat. Â At last dinner arrived with my Penne Alla Vodka being just OK but nothing to brag about and my wife's salad was a salad with a slab of grilled or should I say charred salmon thrown on top. Â Now the place is called The Stadium and I guess they like to give you that true stadium experience as when I went to wash my hands prior to dinner in the bathroom. Â Well let me tell you the bathroom smelled like the bathroom at Giants Stadium during half time and was just disgusting not to mention with the bathroom being not far from the kitchen the door felt like it had a layer of cooking oil on it. Â The only reason they are getting three stars and not two is the food was OK and the staff were very pleasant and our server was handling all the tables in the dining area and doing so like an athlete.
Review Source:I came here ages and ages ago, so I can't comment on how The Stadium is run now, but back when I visited it was a nice spot to go with friends for an evening. Â
Yes, it's a sports bar, and yes, they have a large collection of sports memorabilia, so if that's not your thing then maybe you should skip a trip to The Stadium. Â I didn't mind it; if anything, this place is a more higher-end sports bar than what you might typically find out there. Â They had good (not live) music, decent service, and nothing especially obnoxious was happening. Â They maintain the place well and I left with a positive impression. Â For a bar in the middle of the woods in Garrison, this place has a lot going for it.
Impressive sports memorabilia. I was shocked- surely, only replicas? Nope, the real deal believe it or not. Unfortunately the accolades end there. Apparently some think that's the only prerequisite for a sports bar. How about the March madness package fellas? Isn't that a given if your going to be labeled a sports bar? The big screen in the adjacent room had some meaningless regular season NBA game and it didn't even involve the local teams. Half the screens at the bar were fuzzy had sports no one could have cared less about- even women's hockey on one screen! We ordered the chicken nachos....or more like plain tortilla chips from a bag- little cheese, little chicken, little of anything. We called the night short and went else where for dinner. A gigantic disappointment when we were in town.
Review Source:Back in the day when a burger was a neccesity, the Stadium was our destination not only because it was our nabe burger joint but because they have the most amazing collection of sports memorabilia. There are too many things for me to list but all of them are presented with such care and thought it is like dining at a museum. The food is aight, top of the line Sysco, and the atmosphere a scene, particularly when there is a major sporting event going on. It is fun to watch the games on their numerous tvs surrounded by such enthusiastic fans. I would like to gently nudge them to provide some vegetarian alternatives so that we may once again "sit with Joe Namath." Bobby Brady would be so jealous! ;o) Oh, the nicest rest rooms in the county, like a Four Seasons.
Review Source:It Is plenty of fun! Â There is always a crowd here and the people are really friendly. Â They have beer and wine of all sorts, they also serve a mean burger, that I would recommend. Â You could choose to sit at the bar, a booth or just get a table and enjoy a dinner with a drink. They do cater for events, Meetings, group parties... Â

Now if that is not impressive I don't know what is! This bar is a great find and I recommend stopping in just to sit with Pros.. Â You never know who you might find sitting at the bar?
